she'll always be on my pinterest boards, her surgeons knew exactly what to do, and what not do. Jut like teyana taylor's b00bs surgery, they got too big because she was breast feeding but they reduced it perfectly. thx for the likes
I think Yolanda clearly favoured Gigi when they were kids. I think the two girls were compared alot especially since they inherited very different standards of beauty. Gigi was more European and Bella before the surgeries definitely looked more Palestian. Watching Beverly Hills you can definitely see the favouritism.
I just said the exact same before I saw your comment the way Yolanda used to treat Gigi was appalling god only knows what she said to Bella she probably payed for her surgery’s out of her own pocket even when Bella got a DUI obviously it’s natural no parent would be happy about that but she took it to new levels Yolanda always favourited Gigi & Anwar I’ve always felt terribly for Bella
I personally think plastic surgery should not be normalized the way it has been. Nowadays when people reference a beautiful woman, most of the time that woman has gotten work done (and it’s not to say women who’ve gotten work done can’t be beautiful, it’s just crazy beauty standards have reached a level where it has become a norm and the natural isn’t consider beautiful as much as the ones who’ve had plastic surgeries. As much as people preach about plastic surgery should not be stigmatized and that “getting work done doesn’t mean that a person doesn’t love themselves”, you can’t deny that an individual wanting and getting plastic surgery is a clear symptom of really bad insecurities.
I was literally about to say this. Normalizing plastic surgery is just gonna make little girls not love themselves. They'll want to be like anyone but themselves. We should be promoting self love and healthy living.
Plastic surgey isn't necessarily wrong but promoting a product and telling your followers it will achieve this and that when you have had surgery and the product can't do anything
@@crytical1237 for example some celebrities will say the lip kits that they made will make your lips look like theirs when really and truly they have lip fillers
@@crytical1237 I mean let’s take Jlo for example she claims that she doesn’t have wrinkles because of “olive oil” and even made a skincare line about it, however if you looked at her younger pictures she had more wrinkles than she does now (doesn’t mean she’s not pretty but just an observation). And with plastic surgeons pointing out that she might’ve had some Botox or facelifts to achieve her current look, she is in a way kind of scamming people by claiming that this skin care line is the key to looking as great as she does when it really isn’t, like sure olive oil is great but that’s not why she looks the way she is and she probably uses a lot more skincare products than just “olive oil”.
I feel like some celebs want to be seen as a "natural beauty", they were just born with their features, they were just lucky to have trendy facial features and bodies. It's quite sad really...
As annoying as them lying about things I can 100% understand the reason why they do so. It’s exceptionally flattering and opens up slog more opportunities when your considered a natural beauty.
Yeah exactly. Kylie Jenner looks like a literal different person. Like she just got all the trendy body parts stuck on to her face and body. I mean, on one hand, she looks great. But we have to understand that it’s all surgery.
I think she adapted to her environment. Surgery wasn't a mystery in her family, I believe her father and mother have done it. Plus her mother was a successful model and her sister was becoming one. Maybe she thought "what can I do to be there too" Loosing weight and surgery I've seen a little bit of her mother, and the way she handle Gigi's career, if Bella had surgery than her mom approved, so it was not a bad choice for her career au contraire. I love her style too
She was so beautiful before. I know both her, her brother anwar and her father are Muslims I just wish her dad told her about what islam says about natural beauty from a young age. Maybe he did and she just wanted to do what makes her happy I don’t know but she was beautiful before and is beautiful now MashaAllah.
@@TeeTee-wi8fb well it is actually forbidden in islam to just change your face (with the intention of changing your appearances for beauty purposes and not for health purposes) because it will lead to this whole mess. You know what i mean, it's not actually healthy for society, and islam forbids it for that good purpose and to prevent more bad risks in the future.
controversial but 100% true. supermodels back in the day had to work hard to build their brand and professional careers, i dont know if they got plastic surgery before but i feel like nowadays everyone is a model lol. the world supermodel doesnt have the same meaning anymore
I feel like modelling used to be classy and now it seems cheap with the Instagram model thing and that everyone can be a model. It was better when it wasn't just given to people.
it is kinda scary to me that we can all CLEARLY SEE that these people look entirely different from their yearbook photos and they lowkey gaslight their fans into believing it's all pUbERTy like... puberty made your lips 5x bigger, sculpted your cheekbones and reshaped the entire bridge of your nose? ok not only is it silly but it's really dangerous for kids who will then have all sorts of self image issues when they don't get their "glow up"
And those kids are going to realize that these celebs went through surgery and will start saving their money to get something done as opposed to investing in their future.
in all fairness, as a 22 year old now, my face now does look completely different from my school picture as a 14 year old (it was borderline a Bella hadid style transformation) even though i got no work done hahaha. like firstly i learnt the concept of shaping my eyebrows (used to have really thick bushy ones which just didn't complement my face shape whatsoever). and then secondly since I lost a lot of baby fat my head shape just completely changed lmao - i have quite defined, high cheekbones now (i think this phenomenon happens to a lot of Asians tbh) and then i also had braces on my lower teeth which i think sort of contributed to how different i looked. i've shown my friends that picture and they also agreed that I just look like a completely different person and even asked jokingly if I got plastic surgery, and i'm just a normal girl from a relatively working class family!! so i do think it is extremely unfair to compare current, adult pics of celebs to their younger teenaged pics. Although Bella hadid obviously did have a shit ton of surgery done, that's besides the point bc it's unfair to expect celebs to admit to the tweakments they may or may not have made for the sake of the self esteem of impressionable young girls lol. as if naturally stunning girls do not also exist?? perhaps we should teach girls that their worth isn't tied to their beauty and that it's okay to NOT be objectively beautiful?
@@folliedollie69 i agree, I’ve lost tons of weight and also baby fat, my face has gotten sharper and even my features look a little more slimmer Than they were. Also learned how to actually give shape to my eyebrows and well if you look at my pictures from 2017 to now I look like a different person
it's also worth adding that whilst bella hadid's cosmetic procedures helped her elevate to the level that she is now, it's not guaranteed that any amount of plastic surgery will allow everyone to "glow up" to the same extent as her!! this is because bella was very fortunate to be blessed with such a nice base for surgery in the first place, whereas others have certain features (that cannot be changed cosmetically) that just mean that no matter how much work they get, they can't just have the face of a supermodel. similar concept applies to those who had their "glow up" because of puberty-related changes - quite a few girls are fortunate to pretty much look the same throughout their childhood/teen years up until adulthood (can't say the same for myself). so again, it's not exactly bella's or anyone else's responsibility to coddle these girls with self-image issues when they don't "glow up" into a supermodel.
here’s the thing: plastic surgery on an individual level isn’t necessarily a big issue. it’s your money and body, do what you want. yeah it’s sad that you’re struggling to feel secure and confident in certain features and embracing what society labels your ‘imperfections’, but at the end of the day it’s your decision. but i do think it’s worth questioning whether u’d be having that surgery if society hadn’t made u feel insecure about your natural features, especially if afterwards u’re noticing u’re getting treated significantly better etc. and on a larger societal level, it’s also important to acknowledge that getting surgery and drastically transforming your appearance so you more closely resemble the very very limited beauty standard does perpetuate the same cycle that made you insecure in the first place. again, no judgement at all, but i think it’s important to acknowledge this cycle and celebrities are denying surgery is only making young girls even more insecure.
Yep, the whole thing about “doing it for yourself” is bullshit. Our person exists in a society that has certain criteria which it deems good and worthy. This changes from one culture to another. To be completely independent from society is almost non existent (if u are a hermit yeah) in our day and age. If u change yourself to fit what that criteria supposes, you have changed yourself according to society’s standards and therefore public and personal acceptance induced behavior. These are some simple concepts that will appear in basic sociology classes and they exist for a reason.
@@mariakiwi1428 some people do rlly do it for themselfs to feel better though. Ofc most just do it to fit some weird stupid beauty standard, but not everyone does.

Tbh I think Bella was insecure because she was probably compared to her sister since forever and she felt like she needed surgery and probably people in the industry influenced her to go ahead
I mean she accomplished the mission , now she looks trashier than Gigi I was insecure growing up as well , but I didn’t cry and get surgery , I folllowed my own natural beauty

I can relate to Bella a lot. I'm a twin and have always been compared to my sister, cause we don't look the same. If I had a lot of money, I would probably have done a lot of surgeries as well, I'm so relieved I'm not rich and focusing on other things. I just hope Bella can be happy with herself one day, because it's a journey.
Bella's a victim, Like kylie always compared to a more beautiful older sister from some people's point of view. And never have been taught to love themselves the way they were even if they were absolutely adorable.
Amen, while of course they're living the life, I really don't envy either of their childhoods. Can you imagine being propped up on TV before you're even out of puberty? Constantly compared to your famously beautiful siblings? And both with momagers basically grooming them for the industry their entire lives...it's such a weird 21st century problem
If you watched real housewives of Beverly Hills, you would clearly see that Yolanda clearly favored Gigi over Bella. Gigi fits the European beauty standards, and Yolanda herself was a model from the Netherlands. She also compared Gigi to herself saying that Gigi was a better version of herself
yeah this is definitely the downside to being a child of a white and a nonwhite parent. im arab myself and i feel like bella deffo looked more middle eastern in her facial features before she got that surgery.
I agree but I wanna say that Gigi is more the american beauty standard, especially because European beauty standard isn't really a thing, Europe has a huge variety of beauty, people from the Netherlands (for example) are quite different from people In spain
@@myathegrandma okay. Almost everyone’s face is puffier when their younger then it just disappears. Happened to my face I also did a lot of face massages to get rid of the puffiness and fat in my face. It happened to my nose it literally just changed like end of.
Bella's upbringing was quite toxic if you think about it. Not to the level of kardashian toxic but nonetheless. On one hand she has her mother, the ex model who's OBSESSED with gigi and her career. ( Its pretty obvious that gigi's her golden child.) on the other hand, Bella is the middle child + didn’t have that nose of a supermodel. So she must have been very insecure about it. obviously her mother pushed her to get the surgery cause She was literally a child of 14 years who didn’t know any better. I feel like people are more angry at her cause although most of the celeb &models have had plastic surgery, 90% of them didn’t achieve what Bella's surgeon could. So it sticks out like a sore thumb when someone praises her beauty and side profile & someone else feels the necessity to point out that she's plastic.
I get what u mean when bringing up her mother however she's a grown ass woman, she can speak for herself and be honest with the things she has had done
@@ioanabbb5563 I get it. But in reality how many celebs confirm that they've had work done? For Bella to admit she's had work done might affect her contracts with her modelling agency. Hopefully one day she realises that her fans / other people would appreciate her honesty even more.
It wasn't just the nose even after the nose job she still didn't look like a model she definitely did after the face lift and the face liposuction tho but I feel like before that the only conveniently attractive feature she had was her blue eyes;
Bella being called the most beautiful woman in the world has never sat right with me because of all her surgeries. Idk it just gives me the same vibes as someone using performance enhancers at the Olympics.
@@Melody-jc5hk I think OP is implying that society is holding up a fake/unachievable goal. She would not have been named the “most beautiful woman in the world” without plastic surgery, so it’s basically saying that to be beautiful, you need money, time and surgery.
completely agree about the nepotism point. Loads of 90's supermodels (like niomi) have spoken openly about how they thing the word 'supermodel' is used so brazenly. So many of the fashion girls of our gen are only where they are because they were born into wealthy and well connected families, they didnt have to go through the endless shows and not-so-flashy campaigns to make a name for themselves.
Omg yes I have always thought this was so annoying. Even Naomi says so. And they literally bought the features that make them famous. (Bella, Kendall) It’s honestly laughable, makes it so unfair for other people to get into the industry..
I always thought Bella was the older Hadid sister. I got the shock of my life when Keisha said "she was being constantly compared to her older sister". I even went on Google to check. My life is a lie 💀
Notice how her surgeon essentially took away any ethnic features she had and she was able to reach the fame she has…i personally still see her being a supermodel without the surgery but societally speaking we all know it would’ve been a little less likely.
Her brother has same features she “had” but it’s ok for a male to have them & succeed in modeling. Also Yolanda is a liar, she lying for her kids as well as herself. Bella is completely plastic, would’ve never made it as a model or got cast for a gig w/her plain Jane face. She was a pretty girl before but definitely not model material. Yolanda has had all kinds of surgery to retain her youthful appearance.

The only celebs that I know off the top of my head that have said they have not/will not get plastic surgery are Toni Collette and Drew Barrymore. IDC if celebs get plastic surgery if they are honest about it, but it's nice to see there are still some that want to age naturally. Both ladies are stunning and extremely talented actors. @@thebeautifulnarcissist666 I believe Rihanna has had cosmetic surgery, still one of the most beautiful ppl ever!! I’m obsessed with her music and her ofc. Our opinion shouldn’t change of someone bc they had surgery :)
Plastic surgery shouldn’t be shamed, but it shouldn’t be seen as the only choice either. I believe we should be able to keep it to ourselves, but we also shouldn’t lie if we achieved something unrealistic through surgery.
actual *unpopular opinion* here: i dont think celebrities have to disclose that they've had work done. it's a known secret that 95% of them have had some cosmetic surgery or another. to demand their transparency is unfair to them and is putting them in an uncomfortable position. regular women and men get little nips and tucks and they get to carry on with their lives without anyone prying, whereas celebrities dont and face ridicule for it. and the thing is, most of the time when a celebrity has had something done, it's obvious. theres no need for them to confirm it.
I agree but when they are promoting a product saying this is how they got this or that ( ex. A slimmer nose or a bigger butt) when they’ve clearly gotten surgery is false advertising. It makes a lot people feel the need to go to extreme measures to achieve something that is only achievable by surgery.
True but if people call them out on it and they blatantly deny it, it's a problem especially when they have young impressionable fans who don't know any better and think diet, exercise, and good genes is how they achieved their looks.
@loveutill theendoftimes True I agree but in my opinion I would rather they just say nothing than lie. In general the media and society will never be happy when it comes to the way women see themselves. They will continuously prey on people’s insecurities to make money.
THANK YOU!!!!! the dragging out of people trying to expose them or call them names like plastic or fake will obviously tear down their self esteem and make them want to deny the rumours even more. Why the fck are people so damn nosy and fixated on whether or not celebs got surgery. If you believe they did, then that's what you believe so no need to tear them down and pressure them or make videos trying to expose them, if you think about it it's literally bullying... They already probably felt insecure to start off with, so what makes people think that dragging celebs through the mud about rumoured surgeries will want them to EVER speak about it. If this happened to me i would be having breakdowns everyday and delete myself from social media so no one could pick me to pieces every single day. Your body, your damn choice.
i think celebs lie about plastic surgery becuase in many instances, if they've gotten it out of insecurity, then admiting to it is almost like admiting defeat, and they lose the shield/ mask that they put up to protect themselves from public scrutiny.
My problem with celebs lying about getting work done is when they say that they're all natural or it's just puberty, makeup or exercise that enhanced their looks. If you want to keep quiet about it that's fine but to go out of your way to lie about it is wrong. What's worse is when they try to sell people products to achieve their looks when they actually got work done. It's very damaging to their young impressionable fans.

That story was about teens who waited for their 16th birthday to get plastic surgery done and finally become happy, popular whatever and go to that party island to live life to the "fullest". There were a bunch of characters who exposed the fact that when ppl get surgeries, they also get microchipped and loose all their personality, uniqueness, freedom of thought etc. A really orwellian kind of story designed for young ppl to understand better. The high fashion modeling industry is definitely not about natural beauty now. It's "do you have the potential to be transformed into whatever I want you to be and are you profitable." They feel that models need to either be naturally stunning, extremely unique, or have just enough to "work with." They will definitely ask you to get something cosmetic done surgically if they feel as though you will look better and/or be more profitable with changed features.

That’s when they HAVE to start admitting it, they are setting unrealistic beauty standards, it’s like the Kardashians saying they didn’t get anything done to their body but work out daily to achieve the way their body looks, it’s damaging to the persons young audience because they start to compare themselves to the person they look up to, little girls start getting insecure and start thinking they can’t be as beautiful as the person they look up to, why? Because people like Bella DENY THOSE ALLEGATIONS, y’all really need open y’all eyes and see this typa shit is not ok🤦🏽♀️
There are a lot of girls who "could" have been top models if they had been "discovered" or seeked out modeling opportunities. There are 350 MILLION people in the USA, and about 8 billion world-wide. Many of the most attractive people I've ever seen were probably just ordinary people in the public (I'm in the service industry, while in school), who aren't famous or in magazines at all. We need to stop glamourizing celebrities because they are human beings like all of us.
I've once heard someone commenting, that Bella basically asked her surgeons to 'give her Carla Bruni' and I can't usnee it now. That's so freakin dystopian...
when you live in an environment where you’re constantly being compared to your sibling or even worse people ignore you and compliment your sibling ALL THE TIME you’d grow up thinking that you’d have to change something with yourself and maybe even sometimes do it. trust me i know i’ve grown up listening to people complimenting my sisters and saying that they’re super pretty and ignoring me because they have colored eyes and i just have brown skin and brown eyes - the norm and in usual beauty standards considered to be not pretty - i just felt really hurt at the time
I think it’s good that *more* people are accepting of plastic surgery. Enhancing your looks is totally okay. However, just don’t go changing your race or whatever of that nature lol

it’s actually so damaging. society only views us as beautiful if we happen to fit it’s ever-changing standards of beauty. when we seek validation through surgery, the praise we would’ve gotten if our newfound features were possessed naturally have now become tainted. instead we become the victim of harsh comments describing us as “fake” or “facadal” EDIT: I think that’s kinda why ppl lie about the procedures they have. they’d rather hide the struggle they’ve had with their looks in order to get a botched conglomerate of golden opinions from us…
exactly, im not using anyone as an example but, one might crave that attention so much because they don’t get it anywhere else in their life. not from themselves and especially not from others.
I think it’s very wrong to force or pressure these famous people into admitting if they’ve had plastic surgery or not, just because you’re famous doesn’t mean you owe anyone anything. They already have their whole documented, I do think it’s very wrong to lie about it but at the same time they are constantly being asked about and having assumptions made about them which puts them in a position where they have to talk about it
I don’t think plastic surgery is inherently “bad”, but I think we have normalised it to the point it’s “expected”. What’s worse is that not everyone has the money for plastic surgery. Now hear me out: I know some people will say “then don’t”, I agree. Just don’t. We can’t hate on people just for having money to look better. But the normalisation of it is pretty dangerous. It sets almost unachievable/rare standards of beauty (fox eyes, small European noses, thick lips) and the reality is that there is this expectation that only the rich can afford it (and before anyone argues that plastic surgery isn’t exactly “expensive”, it isn’t exactly cheap either. Also, what’s cheap to an American may not be cheap to someone from another country. Problem is because of the internet, our beauty standards are slowly becoming one). I also feel, while not directly related to plastic surgery per se, that the normalisation of plastic surgery and these “rare” beauty standards feed into the whole fetish for racially ambiguous beauty. Which… is already a problem.
100% agree with the lying ! I was so insecure when I was a pre teen / teen because I thought it was all natural and I looked like so meh lol One celebrity that actually spoke about the many surgeries she had is Anitta (Brazilian pop star, who literally says that money bought her beauty)
I would also like to add that her wealthy parents played a BIG role in her becoming a super model. Aside from the cosmetic surgery. She never had to audition. She was able to buy her way in.
I personally think that we live in a very judgemental society where somebody can quickly feel like they are not good enough or pretty enough. But when you try to fix it you are called fake and your reputation can tank. This is especially true for celebrities because their looks are constantly critiqued and nowadays it seems like you need to be attractive to be famous instead of talented (majority of famous tiktokkers). Thus people get plastic surgery to make it in the industry, but they can't come out and say they have had things done because that would harm their brand. It would get harder for them to get jobs because there would be more hate from the public because they are not 'real'.
They lie because they want credit for their looks, like it’s natural snd unattainable. They also think admitting it invalidates they’re career. A model with plastic surgery is like a music artist lip syncing
That bit about self love being a journey, and having days when you feel good and look amazing in your eyes you will also have days when you will hate every percieved flaw you have. Its perfectly normal.
In my opinion, I feel like plastic surgery is way too normalized in our society. I don’t mean to villainize women who do get procedures done, but the whole system of being able to “fix” your every “flaw” is so sad to me. It’s sad that our society and patriarchal beauty standards still influence women to the extent that they have to get their faces literally carved into just to succeed in the modeling industry, and in our society at large. The double standard when it comes to male celebrities is absolutely insane. A woman can’t even go out without makeup, or Heaven forbid unshaved, without being slandered to pieces, but male celebrities can have stubble, unplucked eyebrows, and bellies without their talent being belittled and mocked. Now, it’s gotten to an extent that plastic surgery is rampant among female celebrities. And oftentimes when celebrities get brought up, people gawk at why they got procedures done when they “didn’t need it” (ex. Megan Fox). And I get the sentiment of unnecessary plastic surgery, but the thing is, _all_ beautifying surgery (not for medical reasons) is unnecessary, no matter how naturally someone conforms to conventional beauty standards. It’s still reinforcing harsh beauty standards when someone implies that plastic surgery is unnecessary for pretty people, thereby unintentionally saying it’s necessary for others. We should all strive to dismantle beauty standards and acknowledge the, as long as a body functions, there’s no necessity for plastic surgery beyond societal standards and unfair beauty expectations.
Ma'am, celebrities and influential people MUST declare their procedures because their standard affects the worldwide standard of beauty. It is false for us to claim that our collective consciousness is not controlled by celebrities and influential people. They must declare so that we know and understand that they're not born perfect, they have plastic surgery, and that we are enough as we are.
I agree and PS is just an excuse for people to not care about themselves. It's called low self esteem not a glow up. Go to a damn psychologists if you got over 5K to spend on your nose. If you noticed what comments the creator likes they're all echoing her beliefs like...way to think critically
I think the reason people hide the surgeries they had is because they know that they are monetizing their looks. I saw a video years ago about a husband who was mad when he discovered that his wife had plastic surgery done because "our children will look like the previous version of you". That just clicked for me. Many people, mostly men, choose to go for beautiful women because they have the biological desire to have their children be pretty.
The strange thing is, as much as I love the idea of plastic surgery, and letting others do what they want to feel confident, I’m still reluctant to the whole plastic surgery aspect still. Plastic surgery, I believe is a great self-esteem booster. However, at the same time beauty standards change all the time, so what is considered beautiful today will not exactly be considered beautiful tomorrow. So instead of chasing after that “particular” feature, it is best to find other ways in being confident in yourself and bringing up self esteem.
Besides the plastic surgery, she also lies about her height! She's 5'7. I remember she stated this on a show before that being shorter is difficult in the modeling industry and how her sis Gigi is taller (5'9). Now google says she's 5'9!! U can tell she's shorter from a normal angle and outdoor photos! Why are they lying even about this 😩
I agree with everything. I also hate when celebs hide things like they didn't had any plastic surgery and promote 'natural' beauty or whatever. But also it's kind of double edged sword? Like obviously, if some people says they had the work done, they get judged for it. I mean, it's their body their choice. It shouldn't have normalized but at the end of the day it's their choice again. But they still get judged when they admit it? Or so I think the reason why they cover it up? 13:40 You so right about "it's about having connections" with it comes to jobs, work, and/or opportunities. I wouldn't have gotten by first job at McDonald's if it wasn't for one of my family members being s manager there.
“I will not judge you for getting plastic surgery but I will judge you for lying.” OMG WHATI SAY EVERYDAY THANK YOU FOR SAYING THAT YOU ARE ONE OF THE FEW SAYING THIS!!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!
But the amount of pain she had to go through is crazy I could never.... even if I want to change a thing or two in my looks so I applaud her. Also, I really like Bella she did what she had to since Gigi obviously was the favoured in her family and she works really hard after getting all the surgeries to achieve her 'model look'.
I think it would be interesting if you made a video talking about male celebrity surgeries, I feel like it's always women who are under the microscope and judged on their looks, when most men in Hollywood have something done too. Great video as always queen!!
thing is, those celebrities are having surgery and cosmetic procedures to create new beauty standard but we, as real normal people, can never afford/be those "goals"! also the beauty standard are always changing so fast i wonder what is gonna be the next trend!
And everyone saying they don't need to confess to their plastic surgery blah blah, I agree up until they start getting titles like MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMAN IN THE WORLD aaaafter all the work! That's not earned fairly!
Yep really annoying that celebrities lie about plastic surgery. It just sets unrealistic beauty standards for rest of us that can’t afford surgery and thinks that the way celebrities look is natural
I didn't know that Gigi was the eldest and honestly, I thought that Bella was! I believe that the surgery she's had (me assuming she had something done) aged her
I remember a few years back looking at pictures of Jennifer Lawrence and realising that some surgery is SO SUBTLE you would never know. I always thought she did it really tastefully. 2016 Oscars she looked literally mind blowing. She did a vogue shoot around that time too. Perfection. That kind of subtle work can look really nice. But in general i completely agree with you - it’s fine, but when people lie about it that’s harmful. Like when ari says ‘it’s my birth nose’ like…seriously. Why can’t we all just say ‘yeah basically all celebs get work done’ Cos the truth is, it’s hard to get anywhere in entertainment unless you look perfect.
I kinda see why Bella felt the need to change her entire appearance through surgery. She obviously felt that, in comparison to Gigi, she fell short, considering how Yolanda seemed to favor Gigi. I get the jealousy part, although it might seem absurd to some (bc sisterly love and yadda yadda). I myself have 4 gorgeous sisters and I'm the smallest, so I've felt the pressure to emulate them since I was in my pre teens. I do get cosmetic work done, invasive and non invasive, pretty often (started when I was 16). I don't wanna blame the society, but sisterly rivalry is pretty common and very much real.
When you think about it another thing that is sad about Bella getting surgery is her basically “whitewashing” her strong Palestinian features. I feel like she was pressured to do it by, the menace to society, Yolanda. Yolanda was so harsh on Gigi, who she set up to be a model from the start, as shown on her show, so we can only imagine how she behaved with Bella
Plastic surgery becomes a problem when ppl like Bella and kendall become supermodels while other natural girls struggle to get the top...a problem when influencers get more views for promoting, a problem when men and woman favor women with plastic surgery...it def needs to stop.
I’m very happy I live in Belgium where plastic surgery is a big taboo. (Even wearing a lot of make up is a taboo lol most girls are 100% natural.) I’m also not against it but I’m happy it’s a taboo in my country. Getting little things done when you’re like older is a little normalized now but ppl are gonna talk about you here. I know it’s strict and if ur unhappy ofc you can get surgery if that’s what makes you happy. But the way Bella has changed herself is just wild. I have always had this weird feeling with surgery probably because it’s a taboo where I live. I always had this like outerspace futuristic feeling with it. Like if every person is gonna change their face like where does it stop? Especially cases like Bella Hadid, like, Gigi just has a whole new sister. I would be terrified if my sister would look completely different one day and I know it goes in phases. But just if you compare her with pics of 2017 it’s just scary. Also the amount of surgery sometimes makes her look like an alien, the fox eye and the big lips with no cheek fat at all. All surgery. Not natural and honestly just scary. I hope it makes sense what I said lol. Like nothings wrong with surgery but just don’t go in overdrive.
Just found your channel a couple days ago and I too was and still do dress how I like i was a trend setter back in the 80s I always loved to mix and match clothes and try different hair styles that many would worry about judgement! Love it that you too are an comfortable enough to be you and that is what makes the world fun we are a special individual so let your spirit shine!❤️
The reason why they lie about plastic surgery is probably because they’re insecure and because the media and people on internet can be annoying and a lot of people don’t get that I feel like if people weren’t forcing them to tell things or making them feel uncomfortable about what they do or the way they look they wouldn’t be afraid to tell things they done cause yes a lot of people are open minded about plastic surgery but a lot aren’t and are being rude about it so yes lie about it isn’t good but at the same I understand why they lie about it.
honestly i dont like the fact that bella is now literally called the "most beautiful woman on this planet" "the supermodel" and all she did was removed her buccal fat and a nose job and shes getting all this fame like a piece of cake ..
Ikr, like I’m not even a fan but honestly let’s not pretend like Bella wasn’t a very beautiful girl before the procedures. She changed her look to one others would think would fit better in the modeling industry, and who else knows why really. But let’s get just straight that Bella was always very conventionally pretty
My facial features look pretty different depending on the angles and my weight, especially my nose- but nothing on a bella hadid level. Angles can’t change ur underlying facial structure
I’m fairly pro plastic surgery. I intend to get some work done someday! However, the way it’s pushed in Hollywood as a way “fix” your “imperfections” so that you can be “more beautiful” is just awful. Because of this, I somewhat understand why celebrities would deny it. I still think denial it’s inexcusable though. In my opinion, Bella is not a supermodel, she’s just a model. Naomi Campbell, Grace Jones, Adut Akech, now THEY are supermodels!
I’d like to point out a bias I’m seeing a lot in the comments and that wasn’t touched on in the vid. Reconstructive surgery IS plastic surgery. So when people get scars removed/revised/minimized after severe trauma, that’s cosmetic (as per medical and insurance standards, not general opinions). This also includes skin removal after pregnancy/extreme weight loss. I’ve noticed a general trend of people commenting on how plastic surgery/cosmetic enhancements are a reflection of severe insecurity. While for some that may be true, I think it’s important to make sure that convos around plastic surgery contain some nuance. I would hesitate to demonize plastic surgery/cosmetic procedures because esp in situations like physical trauma, it’s not in anyone’s place to judge that kind of scenario. In fact I think many of us would see that as a positive thing. Not to mention that for people who do have severe scarring, removal/revision can vastly improve their quality of life. Plastic surgery/cosmetic enhancements can be and are done for a variety of reasons. So yes, critique the dishonesty and the culture surrounding beauty standards (I personally agree with this), but also create space for nuance when discussing plastic surgery because it isn’t as dichotomous as we’re led to believe. As an aside if you’re still even reading, I’m considering getting Botox in my armpits. Most people think botulinum toxins are used only as fillers in the face, but it can also be used elsewhere. In the armpits, it helps to reduce excessive sweating and as someone who is sick and tired of GIANT pit stains in her laundry, I’m all for it. AND as someone with hooded eyes, I’ll need an upper blepharoplasty if I live to my 60s/70s. Not cuz I hate my eyes, but because the weight of the extra skin from aging will impede my ability to see. My eye will start to close because of the skin.
I love surgery I think it does good for some people and their confidence. The problem lies with people who lie about it and manipulate broader audiences to believe they’re just naturally like that. Its harmful and dangerous especially when so many celebs actually do get work done
I remember when i first started seeing ppl say that Kendal and Bella got plastic surgery(i was 15 when i started being social media) and i fought MY LIFE in those comments defending them bc i couldn't understand how someone would lie about that knowing that there are/were little girls like me who wanted to look like them and believed everything they said. And even if i know now that they got it im still mad ngl, cause u as woman know how hard it is to just exist with the standarde girls and women have in these times especially with social media rn, so why lieee

I just said the exact same before I saw your comment the way Yolanda used to treat Gigi was appalling god only knows what she said to Bella she probably payed for her surgery’s out of her own pocket even when Bella got a DUI obviously it’s natural no parent would be happy about that but she took it to new levels Yolanda always favourited Gigi & Anwar I’ve always felt terribly for Bella
yikes... has the internet cancelled yolanda yet?
Absolutely.
I agree
I wish people stopped trying to conform to European beauty standards. It’s about time to break that standard.
Absolutely spot on beautiful explanation👏
It's scary how normalized it is now
I was literally about to say this. Normalizing plastic surgery is just gonna make little girls not love themselves. They'll want to be like anyone but themselves. We should be promoting self love and healthy living.
Totally agree.
Preach 🙌

Yeah exactly. Kylie Jenner looks like a literal different person.
Like she just got all the trendy body parts stuck on to her face and body.
I mean, on one hand, she looks great. But we have to understand that it’s all surgery.
I think she adapted to her environment. Surgery wasn't a mystery in her family, I believe her father and mother have done it. Plus her mother was a successful model and her sister was becoming one. Maybe she thought "what can I do to be there too" Loosing weight and surgery
I've seen a little bit of her mother, and the way she handle Gigi's career, if Bella had surgery than her mom approved, so it was not a bad choice for her career au contraire.
I love her style too
Yes I definitely agree
She was so beautiful before. I know both her, her brother anwar and her father are Muslims I just wish her dad told her about what islam says about natural beauty from a young age. controversial but 100% true. supermodels back in the day had to work hard to build their brand and professional careers, i dont know if they got plastic surgery before but i feel like nowadays everyone is a model lol. the world supermodel doesnt have the same meaning anymore
Yeah social media has changed the meaning of it a lot like technically in theory anyone can be a “celebrity” it is just about luck
Thaaaank youuuu
I do prefer models from the 90’s but models have been getting surgery for years this is definitely not new.
they have made surgery in that times this is not new
I feel like modelling used to be classy and now it seems cheap with the Instagram model thing and that everyone can be a model. It was better when it wasn't just given to people.
it is kinda scary to me that we can all CLEARLY SEE that these people look entirely different from their yearbook photos and they lowkey gaslight their fans into believing it's all pUbERTy
like... puberty made your lips 5x bigger, sculpted your cheekbones and reshaped the entire bridge of your nose? ok
not only is it silly but it's really dangerous for kids who will then have all sorts of self image issues when they don't get their "glow up"
And those kids are going to realize that these celebs went through surgery and will start saving their money to get something done as opposed to investing in their future.
in all fairness, as a 22 year old now, my face now does look completely different from my school picture as a 14 year old (it was borderline a Bella hadid style transformation) even though i got no work done hahaha. like firstly i learnt the concept of shaping my eyebrows (used to have really thick bushy ones which just didn't complement my face shape whatsoever). and then secondly since I lost a lot of baby fat my head shape just completely changed lmao - i have quite defined, high cheekbones now (i think this phenomenon happens to a lot of Asians tbh) and then i also had braces on my lower teeth which i think sort of contributed to how different i looked. i've shown my friends that picture and they also agreed that I just look like a completely different person and even asked jokingly if I got plastic surgery, and i'm just a normal girl from a relatively working class family!! so i do think it is extremely unfair to compare current, adult pics of celebs to their younger teenaged pics.
Wey how do u expect someone to look the exact way they did in hs, some people do but most don’t.
@@folliedollie69 i agree, I’ve lost tons of weight and also baby fat, my face has gotten sharper and even my features look a little more slimmer Than they were. Also learned how to actually give shape to my eyebrows and well if you look at my pictures from 2017 to now I look like a different person
it's also worth adding that whilst bella hadid's cosmetic procedures helped her elevate to the level that she is now, it's not guaranteed that any amount of plastic surgery will allow everyone to "glow up" to the same extent as her!! this is because bella was very fortunate to be blessed with such a nice base for surgery in the first place, whereas others have certain features (that cannot be changed cosmetically) that just mean that no matter how much work they get, they can't just have the face of a supermodel. similar concept applies to those who had their "glow up" because of puberty-related changes - quite a few girls are fortunate to pretty much look the same throughout their childhood/teen years up until adulthood (can't say the same for myself). so again, it's not exactly bella's or anyone else's responsibility to coddle these girls with self-image issues when they don't "glow up" into a supermodel.
here’s the thing: plastic surgery on an individual level isn’t necessarily a big issue. it’s your money and body, do what you want. yeah it’s sad that you’re struggling to feel secure and confident in certain features and embracing what society labels your ‘imperfections’, but at the end of the day it’s your decision.
but i do think it’s worth questioning whether u’d be having that surgery if society hadn’t made u feel insecure about your natural features, especially if afterwards u’re noticing u’re getting treated significantly better etc. and on a larger societal level, it’s also important to acknowledge that getting surgery and drastically transforming your appearance so you more closely resemble the very very limited beauty standard does perpetuate the same cycle that made you insecure in the first place. again, no judgement at all, but i think it’s important to acknowledge this cycle and celebrities are denying surgery is only making young girls even more insecure.
the best statement.
These are some simple concepts that will appear in basic sociology classes and they exist for a reason.

actual *unpopular opinion* here: i dont think celebrities have to disclose that they've had work done. it's a known secret that 95% of them have had some cosmetic surgery or another. to demand their transparency is unfair to them and is putting them in an uncomfortable position. regular women and men get little nips and tucks and they get to carry on with their lives without anyone prying, whereas celebrities dont and face ridicule for it. and the thing is, most of the time when a celebrity has had something done, it's obvious. theres no need for them to confirm it.
@@skylagadson3996 false advertisement is a different topic, and i agree with you on what you said
THANK YOU!!!!! the dragging out of people trying to expose them or call them names like plastic or fake will obviously tear down their self esteem and make them want to deny the rumours even more.
Spitting image of Carla Bruni

RIGHT
I feel like she went to her plastic surgeon and asked to look like Carla Bruno
i think celebs lie about plastic surgery becuase in many instances, if they've gotten it out of insecurity, then admiting to it is almost like admiting defeat, and they lose the shield/ mask that they put up to protect themselves from public scrutiny.
I PERSONALLY THINK YOUR AN ICON, your a legend and you ARE THE MOMENT! Your Travis video popped up and your REALNESS made me a fan 💕 thanks for being so fab
I completely AGREE with you but I wish you would‘ve mentioned the “foxy eye/ Bella hadid-look” trend bc it is lowkey problem as it promotes asianfishig! 👀 still a good video tho
Edit: PINK🤪
her eyes doesnt look asian 😂😂😂😂
Although Bella is beautiful, and I mean no disrespect- I kinda feel like having plastic surgery then becoming a super model is almost...cheating?
How? People who are born beautiful don't do anything to earn it either. Surgery you at least have to pay for, though wealth inequality is definitely not fair. It's no different than hiring expensive personal trainers or high-end beauty products.
being a model is about luck and using your assets to your advantage. Yes bella wasn't lucky enough born to be model beautiful but she was lucky enough to be born rich and use that to her advantage.
@Zenith ive never seen someone who is so good at expressing that they are toxicly jelaous as much as you lol. i can see if you have a child who is born pretty youd bully her the way gigis mother does to her
@@illusionist1244 Toxicity??bullying??? Where did that come from
What she said is true though. Its not cheating, you haven't done anything to be born beautiful you didnt earn it, you just are. Natural beauty is not superior to getting plastic surgery and I assure you even naturally beautiful models get plastic surgery u dont know about.
@@Melody-jc5hk yes my genetics are superior to theirs because my kids arent likely to be bullied for their looks but theirs will even if you fix up w plastic surgery thanks
I actually preferred her before the surgery, she was so cute.
True
The problem is how ppl in the future gens will grow up having a completely strange relationship to their bodies. Having such delusional standards for beauty.
I am same age as Bella and I remember reading a book series in 7th grade called "uglies" by Scott Westerfield.
This book series rly helped me with my struggle to relate to society's expectations
Sounds like an amazing book I wanna read it now 😭

I found an audio book to this but there are also complete book pdfs online if you want to check it out 😊
I'm also a teen and getting plastic surgery in couple months. (Eyejob, Nosejob and maybe cheekbone implants)
To all y’all mfs saying that “I DoNt ThInK cElEbRiTyS hAvE tO sHaRe WhAt ThEy GoT dOne” yeah💀but only the ones who don’t be denying obvious allegations and chose to not even speak on those rumors, but when they are continuously denying those allegations??
Bro😖😖
when you live in an environment where you’re constantly being compared to your sibling or even worse people ignore you and compliment your sibling ALL THE TIME you’d grow up thinking that you’d have to change something with yourself and maybe even sometimes do it. trust me i know i’ve grown up listening to people complimenting my sisters and saying that they’re super pretty and ignoring me because they have colored eyes and i just have brown skin and brown eyes - the norm and in usual beauty standards considered to be not pretty - i just felt really hurt at the time
I think it’s good that *more* people are accepting of plastic surgery. Enhancing your looks is totally okay. However, just don’t go changing your race or whatever of that nature lol
Ikr , I hate ppl who want to look racially ambiguous
It's racist & disgusting really
Isn’t that what Lisa initially did 💀. She literally changed all her Thai features and bleached her skin to look more Korean. And pls don’t say “she didn’t get any surgery” 🙄

it’s actually so damaging. society only views us as beautiful if we happen to fit it’s ever-changing standards of beauty. when we seek validation through surgery, the praise we would’ve gotten if our newfound features were possessed naturally have now become tainted. instead we become the victim of harsh comments describing us as “fake” or “facadal”
EDIT: I think that’s kinda why ppl lie about the procedures they have. they’d rather hide the struggle they’ve had with their looks in order to get a botched conglomerate of golden opinions from us…
But why would you want to ruin your face trying to fit nonsensical standards
@@marytc2714 or even risk death
exactly, im not using anyone as an example but, one might crave that attention so much because they don’t get it anywhere else in their life. not from themselves and especially not from others.
@E K girl i have body dysmorphia too and plastic surgery is not the solution! I havent had any but it will make you feel worse , tell your friend
I think it’s very wrong to force or pressure these famous people into admitting if they’ve had plastic surgery or not, just because you’re famous doesn’t mean you owe anyone anything. They already have their whole documented, I do think it’s very wrong to lie about it but at the same time they are constantly being asked about and having assumptions made about them which puts them in a position where they have to talk about it
I think it's scary how she stole Carla Bruni's face. And she still denies she had any work done. I don't know why would anyone idolize her.
That’s creepy af
Losing weight can give you a skinner nose, but it doesn’t change the shape 😭 it’s obvious the shape changed especially the bridge of her nose.
Which… is already a problem.
theyl literally eat the cheapest food but go and get surgery at this point lol even broke people save money for that shxt
@@illusionist1244 right?? It's the constant pressure to be out of the ordinary beautiful 😢
@@bettyhello society raises their daughters to be people pleasers, by all means. thats why
100% agree with the lying ! I was so insecure when I was a pre teen / teen because I thought it was all natural and I looked like so meh lol
One celebrity that actually spoke about the many surgeries she had is Anitta (Brazilian pop star, who literally says that money bought her beauty)
People lie about plastic surgery because it counts as cheating. They don’t want to receive negative backlash that is going to ruin their image.
It would get harder for them to get jobs because there would be more hate from the public because they are not 'real'.
do a video about the similarity between bella hadid and carla bruni..
OMG so true 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
You’re so naturally beautiful Keisha 😭❤️
I think the reason people hide the surgeries they had is because they know that they are monetizing their looks.
I saw a video years ago about a husband who was mad when he discovered that his wife had plastic surgery done because "our children will look like the previous version of you".
That just clicked for me. Many people, mostly men, choose to go for beautiful women because they have the biological desire to have their children be pretty.
People lie about it to be perceived as naturally beautiful
The discussion is open anyway.
The earliest I’ve ever been lol but keisha is so beautiful 😩😍
13:40 You so right about "it's about having connections" with it comes to jobs, work, and/or opportunities. I wouldn't have gotten by first job at McDonald's if it wasn't for one of my family members being s manager there.
The title of this video is a pure gold! I couldn't agree more! She bought her modeling career
ZAC EFRON
thing is, those celebrities are having surgery and cosmetic procedures to create new beauty standard but we, as real normal people, can never afford/be those "goals"! also the beauty standard are always changing so fast i wonder what is gonna be the next trend!
I believe that the surgery she's had (me assuming she had something done) aged her
there’s nothing to assume, it’s very obvious
I remember a few years back looking at pictures of Jennifer Lawrence and realising that some surgery is SO SUBTLE you would never know.
I always thought she did it really tastefully. 2016 Oscars she looked literally mind blowing.
She did a vogue shoot around that time too. Perfection.
That kind of subtle work can look really nice. But in general i completely agree with you - it’s fine, but when people lie about it that’s harmful.
Like when ari says ‘it’s my birth nose’ like…seriously.
Why can’t we all just say ‘yeah basically all celebs get work done’
Cos the truth is, it’s hard to get anywhere in entertainment unless you look perfect.
Did she ever say she was jealous? Or is that ur assumption as a complete stranger? 💀
@@SupernaturalLove100 did you even watch the video?? ☠️

She was beautiful before and I can’t stand when people say her beauty isn’t valid cause of her surgery
She’s always had beautiful features
My facial features look pretty different depending on the angles and my weight, especially my nose- but nothing on a bella hadid level. Angles can’t change ur underlying facial structure
we dont care
I’m fairly pro plastic surgery. I intend to get some work done someday! However, the way it’s pushed in Hollywood as a way “fix” your “imperfections” so that you can be “more beautiful” is just awful. Because of this, I somewhat understand why celebrities would deny it. I still think denial it’s inexcusable though.
In my opinion, Bella is not a supermodel, she’s just a model. Naomi Campbell, Grace Jones, Adut Akech, now THEY are supermodels!
LMFAO the last interview I watched she claimed she was scared to get surgery
Yhhhhuuuu chile🤣🤣🤣👎
she never said that yall wanna make her look bad, she said she never did fillers which it true
Keisha, your hair looks bomb!
I LITERALLY KEEP TELLING PEOPLE THIS BUT THEY WONT LISTEN
I’m not too big on the plastic life but I can’t hold you her surgeons did her right like fr she looks really good 🤷🏽♀️
I love surgery I think it does good for some people and their confidence.
