Remember, these videos aren’t made to shame or expose anyone (it’s your face, do what you want with it and if that’s tweakments, fillers or plastic surgery and it makes you HAPPY, go for it!) I just don’t want you guys watching this to ever compare your beautiful selves to the celebrities or influencers you see, who potentially have had thousands of dollars of alterations made to their appearances.
In saying that though, I think Gigi Hadid has had nothing more than a ‘grow up’! I LOVE that she seems to fully embrace her face and body, despite not always perfectly fitting into societies expectations of ‘beauty’ (i.e her teeth and being ‘too big’ for the fashion industry). What do you guys think?

I think Bella and Gigi show the 2 ways it can go when parents are critical of the way their kids look. You have the one child who strives for that perfection to please the parent and the other who rebels against it and decides to embrace it. I do feel bad for both sisters having to endure that kind of scrutiny

They could've chosen a career that doesn't rely on their looks and especially with the resources they have, they could've even never worked a day in their lives. I don't understand the complaining of weight/looks requirements from models despite knowing that ahead of time, the job itself does require sacrifices but it's not the only job in the world and it's not like they do it out of necessity.

While I’ve never watched an episode of real housewives of anything, clips are all over the place of their own mom berating them on national television. Whether they have to work for a living or not, the pressure to look any particular way on anyone, rich, poor or otherwise is ridiculous, unfair & worthy of compassion. Why do people feel they need to be stingy with their compassion towards others?

Of course, because our skin always always has problem every season, and due age, hormones change, a lot of make up, schedule, stress, pollution, even food. The point is she didn't change her shape face or restructured her face. And I respect that😌

@Atiya Rahman Gigi likely gets treatments such as preventative Botox, expensive facials and a bit of filler to keep her lips plump. Nothing to the level her sister has subjected herself to. But to each their own, it’s their body they can do as they please.
Gigi for sure had lip lift, lip fillers, face sculpting surgery and an eye blepharoplasty, lower and upper eyelids. People who ARE plastic surgeons put on instagram the highschool photos of Gigi next to 2014 photos and then next to new photos, and they claim she had these surgeries done, in a 2012-2016 period of time. And it's also obvious from the pictures they put.
Her toxic af mom didn't even let her eat and play volleyball - because according to Yolanda that's such a "masculine" sport and girls who play it get "bulky" and "look like men".
Sorry but that can only eff a kid up big time. For that toxicity she still seems to be kind of normal. Very resilient, strong personality I assume.

I think Gigi is completely natural. No overly huge lips or anything of that sort. However, I can’t say the same about Bella. They’re both stunning, but Bella definitely had some work done
Also, Gigi stil keeps on doing lip fillers, just look at the 2019 VMAs. And her lips are much bigger and more unnaturally looking than her sisters. People tend to praise Gigi, say she is natural, good person and all that stuff, just because she is with Zayn, and they love Zayn for his talent. But it is such a wrong way of thinking. Similarly, many started to like Kim just because of Kanye. Said she was more pretty and better than Khloe etc.
Gigi for the most part is all natural. No surgeries on her face. I don’t know if lip fillers were obtained on her but if they are there very natural. Bella had a nose job, eye lift and something done to make her cheekbones more carved. But I do believe Bella is open about all her surgeries and doesn’t lie if asked about them which is something I very much appreciate, especially coming from a huge name like Bella hadid.

I watch Lorry Hill and she does videos about celebrities and their ps. She also stated that Gigi really looks like she never had anything done. She usually notices even the slightest changes and looks at hundreds of photos and overlays them, so I do believe her keen eye. Both Gigi and Bella seem very level headed though as people and even though both look a little unapproachable in pictures, when they talk they really seem humble and down to earth

I’ve never EVER heard someone talk bad about gigi and bella, or someone exposing these two sisters. They genuinely are very nice people, got it from their dad. Their mom ks very weird and judgemental
I feel like Gigi could have gone pro volleyball and inspired many woman, maintaining an iconic strong and beautiful image.. athletic clothing line etc. She has done amazing holding her own and keeping a grasp on her own authenticity under immense pressure and a toxic mother though!

Gigi is and has always been my favorite model. Coming from a girl with a round face/chubby cheeks, I love how she’s so open and expressive with having a round face. I used to be so insecure w not having a very defined face but I personally think Gigi is one of the most beautiful women ever so her face has made me really appreciate mine. Round faces are truly beautiful and Gigi not having surgery done to switch her appearance and flaunt off her round face is amazing.
Bella took from her father's side and therefore her facial feratures were less regular and less simmetric, but still she was pretty even before all the procedures she got done. Gigi took from her mom definitely

In the picture that Stephanie showed of Mohamed and his family when he was young, there’s a little girl on the right (his sister maybe?) that’s the spitting image of Bella. She definitely gets her looks from the Hadid side of the family.

I do think her being blonde and blue eyes is a natural feature that helps her fit into society's standard of beauty and its interesting how this is not something you mentioned. Yes we can applaud gigi for appreciating her natural beauty, but we also cant deny that her features are already part of that standard.

I love how you've focused on how Gigi and Bella were treated as kids, rather than just the 'glow-up'. It really shows how pressure can create this idea that you need to be 'perfect'. It's a shame how normalised surgery is especially in modelling now; I wish models were successful for their natural features more often, instead of nepotism/surgical enhancements.
In the pic of her father as a child, there's a girl to his right who looks almost identical to Gigi! She's naturally beautiful and, to my eyes, hasn't has "work" done to her face.

I applaud Gigi for not succumbing to the pressure of her social circle to change what is already beautiful….. BUT hear me out.
Gigi’s natural look already fits into society / the media’s standards of beauty and that’s why she doesn’t need any surgery. Bella although absolutely beautiful before surgery (if we’re honest) did not FULLY fit into society / the media’s standards of beauty and that may be why she felt she needed surgical treatment.
The fact that so many people are saying they like Gigi because she’s naturally beautiful is why we have this vicious circle of women wanting to get surgical assistant or enhancements to fit that definition of beauty. It’s because their natural beauty does not fit society’s definition / standards of beauty.
So by all means love super models who have not succumbed to surgery, but it’s important to acknowledge and recognise why they may not have felt the need to succumb to plastic surgery or tweakments.

I feel like I’m crazy, I really don’t think she does fit into beauty standards - she has very small hooded eyes, a very round chubby face, her lips aren’t super big, her body isn’t classic model, she has quite a wide round nose. None of those things are the current beauty standard? Except her blue eyes and blonde hair

I remember when she started to get famous some haters would say she wasn't even that pretty, too wide hips, too athletic, face too rounded... And I'm happy she didn't succumb to the pressure of this generic beauty. Yes, she is naturally gorgeous, but all this exposure to critics at such young age can affect your self esteem... first, i LOVE this series. I think it's so important to ground us back into the reality of glowing up and growing up and just the magic of makeup, surgery, etc.
but side note WOW that young picture of Mohammed I was SHOCKED at how identical he looked to Bella (and their brother as well, but mostly Bella). Literally that's Bella in young-boy form wow. The genes in this family are strong!

So I had EXTREMELY hooded eyes when I was young--they were basically like Björk's (due to my Sami ancestry) but I got Graves' disease in my late teens, which affected my eyes substantially. People though I got plastic surgery and it was a bit traumatic tbh. Your looks really can change drastically as you age!!
But Gigi didn't have any disease, nor a great weight loss that could cause that. Only if she lost like 20kg, than it would make a difference to the eyes. Lol. You people trying so hard to defend her, while it's so obvious that she had surgeries and lies about it.

Your eyes get protruding (if that's the correct term), legs get swollen (retracting water), can't gain weight, hair falling off, hormones raging, mood swings, depression, anxiety, arrhythmia, tachycardia ect. Even sitting down, your body is heating up, burning fat, heart pumping hard...like in normal people when they're working out. When thyroid is in mess, the whole body goes insane.

Oh boy did I need your channel when I was a teenager. I was so overly critical of myself for not looking like models and women on the internet. I was too skinny, super small boobs, wide hips, and taller than most the guys were lol. Still in the process of accepting myself the way I am and sometimes I struggle with it. GiGi is definitely a natural beauty. I'd say the only "work" that has been done is hair colour as she does change it from time to time. A dress size and weight does not define health and well being as we are all built differently. I have a genetic bone mutation where my bones are triple the average density so they don't break easily. Down side is i weigh alot more than i look. I may be a carry abit of extra weight but not that much more. BMI'S are straight up BS because according to them any football player would register as obese which they clearly are not. X

I would love to have the foxy eye lift! I feel bad for a lot of these women because they are in the spotlight so they think they have to be perfect. So they alter their bodies/faces to meet the standards. So many people have talked so badly about Sarah Jessica Parker and how she has that mole on her chin but won't remove it or how she has the face of a horse. Just awful awful comments. Then you have the ones who have fillers/lipo/cosmetic surgeries and get completely drug into the ground because they're "fake" or "unrealistic".
It's just sad.
When you're a celebrity you just can win either way.

I like these videos. They aren't trying to drag anyone down by shaming their looks. Just trying to show people are real and make people understand we are not perfect but still beautiful.

I have a 5 year old daughter and struggle with imprinting beauty standards onto my daughter by exemplifying them like body hair for instance. Its the bane of my existence and for most women too but I dont want my daughter to ever feel bad about the hair that naturally grows on her legs, arm pits and eye brows so I struggle with keeping up shaving because I dont see it as ugly now that I see it on my daughter and I NEVER want her to FASLY see anything as ugly on herself

i love gigi and look at her as being one of the better role models for society. she's kind, seems down to earth and if u look at her childhood, teen and now photos is pretty clear to see that she's one of the few world-renowned models that hasn't or has barely had any work. she's amazing
I come from a very critical family, my grandmother was a stunner and passed on her wonderful genes to my aunts and uncles...long story short I didn’t get those genes and was shamed for my “average” looks by her and my aunts my whole life...I was pushed to lose weight/fix my skin/ get a different haircut and it messed up my confidence for a long time until I realised It was their insecurities about having nothing but their looks that they projected and that I’m lucky to have my masters and be successful and be respected in my field...Live your own authentic life and you will radiate beauty and draw everyone in.

I remember finding this channel when I was looking for makeup tips for hooded eyes & years later.. on a good day all I do is my brows, slap some tinted moisturiser on & mascara and I’m ready to go. Becoming a parent really does change your priorities🤣

6:00 Even though she is 100% natural and we love her for that, Gigi is an amazing human being, she look gorgeous af and she knows it. If you're raised with the belief that you are beautiful and you continuously have the confirmation of that, why would she think that she needs to change? I understand Bella for her changes in her appearence, imagine being the "ugly" (she has never been ugly in my opinion) sister of a top model since she was a little child. I respect and love people who embraces their natural self, but I as well don't blame people for making changes (of couse nothing drastic or dangerous). Gigi is lucky and self love is something that anyone has to struggle to get if it isn't inborn...
