- Since we lost our office our presence on TH-cam hasn't been up to standard and even before to some degree. The larger projects we always wanted to make went on the back burner to keep up with day to day content or because we lacked the proper places to film. And the truth is we've been letting our TH-cam audience down - now things are going to be a bit different.

Channel has really gone downhill to how it was. Longtime sub since the early days, Ghost is missed at times. Hope the channel gets back to glory days.

Are you still planning on continuing the "When Was It Best?" series? I loved the episode about the Moonkin, being as that was my main back in Legion, and I tinkered with it in Shadowlands. Definitely interested in your take on the other classes and specs.

Contractors saying 6 weeks? Assume it will he closer to 4 months. My office was screwed by water damage across 2 floors and it took 8 freaking months when they said it would be 3 tops. Freaking annoying. Thanks for the update Mike! Can't wait to see what the future brings!
Depends on if they "got a good deal" on the contractors. Unless you're good buddies/family, actually good and punctual contractors are expensive. 99% of the time otherwise, the ones you "get a good deal on" drag out work and don't produce the best quality.
@@SawGudmanas the guy on the cellphone, and in over my head, I really wish I could be the one lifting the 2x4, just the bosses above me expect all ‘paperwork’ and communications done before 3. Doesn’t sound like a lot, but it can be overwhelming.
to be fair, i speak from experience in construction. in my anecdotal experience 90% of big delays are interruptions in supply. doesn't help anything at all, but it can be nearly as frustrating as a contractor having a project held up forever waiting on like some specific seismic brace that is on backorder.
Man, I understand this so well. I am having a complete electricity installation at home, it should have be 2 months. It's past 5 months now and they are just finishing today. Has been a hell.
I think partly why that is, is because they wanna milk the insurance company.

I was under the impression that the original office had become completely uninhabitable due to the prefilation of mold everywhere. As in the whole building needed to be condemned it was that bad.
It was, but they are still claiming to have 'made it safe'.
I would not dare to go back into that office, especially considering how the owner has handled the entire case. That place was a literal health hazard for MONTHS, even after they have teared down a lot of stuff and re-painted, I refuse to believe that the inside of the structure has not been compromised by mold.
It was. It was gutted, cleaned, and is being rebuilt.
@@jaymzOG No such thing a rebuild on a building that molded out that badly. Shit is gone all you could really do is just demo the building and start new. I would not risk it ill give it 6months top's untill people start getting headaches, stuffy nose and another 6 months untill people just cant even work there cause they've become hyper sensitive to the mold.

Gotta admit Preach..your channel has been one of my favorites on youtube since i discovered it back when i saw the "Legacy of TBC". I owe to those videos me starting to play WoW, a passion that has brought me so many memories and long lasting friendships.
Given all of this i was kinda sad about not having seen videos coming out on here, but knowing that videos like "Legacy of MMO dungeon" are going to come out makes me pretty excited.

Considering what happened to the office I can't really blame you for pushing stuff back. You've got a standard that you want, and it is worth the wait. I really wish I could catch the livestreams, but I can't sadly. Anyways best wishes and I can't wait for what is to come!
I really enjoy how you have branched out - the Project MMO experience has really improved your content and how you discuss games, and I think this kind of wider look is super important when discussing even just a single game. Because now, you have context of other games, a better look at what developers are trying to do and how they go about delivering to their players, how it works or doesn't, how audience expectations can often run contrary to what is actually good for the games... on and on, there are so many topics to discuss. And because you've gone and broadened your horizons, I feel like you bring a breath of fresh air to the otherwise single-game discourses. You've always had an eye for breaking down mechanics, and that really helps you with the general gaming content - so I'm eager to see what you're working on next!
Just make sure the office is definitely upto par Mike. All that mould we saw will be deep in the walls. Just be 100% safe before you head back in there.
Yeah, I'd love more videos but not at the cost of everyone's lungs. I'm too much of an asthmatic to think otherwise, I really can't imagine how badly affected the whole building must be.
Never ever would I move back in that shithole, but I guess they have their reasons, so I hope at least the owners step up their game now.
I'm genuinely worried if they're already putting carpet down. How much did they actually remove? I would seriously do mold tests once a month just to see how the air quality is. That shit can really wreck your lungs/health.

I still remember the old ones with Ghosty where they spent 2 hours making hilarious jokes and drawing sex ed on MS Paint. Need to go back and watch some of those.
TH-cam CHANNEL is just a a bad term nowadays. It really should be TH-cam PROGRAM, as you're really incentivised to split your stuff up

for selfish reasons, if you could name it something like 'Preach Gaming - TDP' or something, that'd be great. I don't like multiple channels from the same person being all over the place in my sub list :p side note: 'Preach Gaming - Drama Time' would be awesome for that channel as well!
Honestly, since Ghost left I stopped watching. The dynamic between you guys was the best. And drama time. Sad.

Totally makes sense with how youtube works as they sell advertising and want to target the approriate channel / creators. Sucks that you need to divvy up your content to the appropriate channel.
Sucks that you had such a shitty landlord. The flooded studio that never got repaired and the landlord kept promising it was going to be.

There ain't no way that building was signed off by the health services, no idea who's having you on for a laugh. That building needed to be condemned and demolished.
I mean let's be honest here, Preach has always been driven to constantly evolve and deliver more and more higher quality content, I honestly admire his passion and work ethic, it's freaking insane. I am extremely proud of you my friend, as well as all the ballers who have created this wonderful community!
You do what you gotta do my man. I like the idea for the other channels. Even if that stretches the viewers out, it will make it easier for people to find what they want to see immediately.

TH-cam needs a better alt-channel system where you can do a "view all" or segment by channel. That way you could have both a one stop shop and the separate channels and algorithms.

Hopefully the UK has some sort of law to be able to sue the owners of the studio building for time and income lost, by their lack of repairing the place.

I’ve been watching since the Cata Class guides man. Hearing your intro is actually a shot of nostalgia for me. You basically held my hand guiding me through my favorite game, and being my favorite personality in the WoW space. Even though you moved on from WoW for the most part, I still love your content and you’re still one of my favorite MMO personalities. I feel like you’re doing very well in the space since covering more games and I’m super stoked to see that your good name is getting passed around in the background. I hope to see more of your content in the future, hopefully see you in the RWF, and happy to hear TDP is back in spirit.

They're actually trying to recover the Office? I was pretty sure the water damage, especially after not being acted on straight away, was going to make the studio condemned and required demolishing.
Splitting it out into its own channels is very smart for a lot of reasons.
Means people who would rather not watch content based on the idea of "Lets laugh at people we don't know because they did something stupid in an online game once" can just avoid the one channel that resides on.
i would definitely have an independent health inspector come take a test of the air in the building before you move in. mold is not to play around with, the long term effects can be really debilitating for working in offices with any impure air at all

I would watch your streams more, but in my part of the states they usually start and end before I wake up in the morning. It'll be good to see more youtube content.

Experimentation coupled with pragmatism is really what this channel is all about. Always adapt and deliver. Keep it up Team!! Doing great with what you got.
When I heard of the water damage, I instantly knew it would not be anywhere near as fast as estimated and then I saw the damage. I have been working on fixing water damages and people constantly under estimate the scale of the problem. Then there's high risk that things weren't done well enough and moisture was left behind which causes mold to return and another teardown. Police office here took like 4 years to properly be fixed after water damage.
As someone who consumes a lot of your content via TH-cam and not Twitch, these changes are good to hear. TH-cam sucks and I think your changes are much needed to keep the algorithm happy. Please vlog studio construction!
I thought there will be more in depth analysis of endwalker and shadowbringers ( of like characters) but thought the water damage held it back but maybe there isnt more
tl;dr TH-cam is a cesspool that doesn't care about creators or the users beyond the revenue they bring in
Honestly Preach, I wish you'd start uploading your VOD's somewhere else because I and so many people are pretty much done with TH-cam as a platform at this point. You're one of the few creators I still even tune into on TH-cam. Most channels I've just unsubbed from because they aren't worth the degradation this platform has seen in the last 5-10 years
This is great news! Ive been ready to see more wow class legacy videos for ages! Especially some classes having almost 20 yrs history now. I rewatch the current legacies alot as is. The old 2010s retro gaming feel with Ghosty is great. Missed you guys!

I get no notification or recommendations for this channel since before the office flooded (didn't even know about it till the 3 month update) and thats with the bell set to all. Only reason I even saw this is because I got into the habit of browsing the Subscriptions tab instead of the home feed

Get ghost back in collab
Been a big fan of you since you came to FF14. Educated and articulate, not high energy spaz like a lot of content creators. I respect your views and usually 100% agree with you. I've been enjoying the FF15 diary so much and hoping you continue that with other JRPGs and do reviews of all the games you play. Speaking of, is there a place to suggest games? I'm in your discord but don't see a channel for such. I've played mostly JRPGs forever so there are a couple you've probably never heard of that I think you'd love
I watched a couple older videos last night where you mentioned making further, more specific videos with the ffxiv stuff and the single players, and I reminded how hugely the office flooding messed everything up. I'd have broken big time. But you're still here, and you're all still working. Looking forward to seeing what's to come, whether that be the previous deep dives you mentioned or elsewise.
Thanks for putting this video together. I had some changes happen in my life during BFA and had to stop playing wow and didn't have have time for twitch. I would still catch drama time here and there and I like checking in on your content when time allows as it was always top notch and well researched. Im glad to see the changes and I subbed to both the other channels. You were the first content creator that made me expect more out of youtube given the quality of your content. Keep it up and looking forward to catching more of your videos as they release.

Your TV show analogy makes sense but I always saw you more in the sense on an HBO or Disney+. I'm subbed to your channel and there some shows I watch, some I don't. And I get the YT fucks you because of that which sucks. Either way I've been here forever and I'm not about to drop.

Preach more wow content please
Why doesn't TH-cam segment the accounts like a conglomerate. Just give TH-camrs the ability to separate their content into sections like they already do with playlists but the algorithms ping off those sections. Like I know it's possible because companies do it all the time. Pretty sure Hitachi isn't sending tank ads to women looking at vibrators, so how can TH-cam figure this out.
Eh - I thought the truly best parts of the Legacy of MMO Dungeons vid was just you sitting on the couch and talking to us. Sure, the other filmed bits were great and certainly were a value add, but I think I speak for a lot of your audience when I say we're here for your takes, not for your production value.
I can't wait for Blizzcon. I hope the Stop Oil turds jumps on stage there. Me looking down at ticket, "Do they know how much I, and everyone here, paid for this?".
Thanks for the update! I was feeling like the videos were slower, but have been enjoying VODs in the meantime. Really admire the quality standards you have set for yourself and the professional attitude you have towards managing your channels. As long as you have a way for me to discover everything you do, I sure will follow along.
Please don’t tell me that’s the old Recipharm site in Ashton-u-Lyne? I used to work there about 12 years ago as a young analytical chemist in the DPI Lab. Our lab area was probably the best maintained and newest area, the rest of it was a bit of a shithole.
Didn't TH-cam trial out a feature waaaay back in the day called Shows or something where you could effectively segment the content within a single channel and only subscribe to that particular content? I feel like that's the type of solution that's needed. Something that's like a branch of playlists where it's not necessarily all one collection of videos, but a subsection of the channel that people can subscribe to individually
Your example of Game of Thrones is like when South Park was going to reveal who Cartman's dad was then the creators intentionally put in a Terrance and Philip episode.
Sounds like some poor financial/growth choices may have been made and it's been realized? Hoping for some more great content in the future 👍

I much prefer a one stop shop. I hate that a lot of channels i enjoy have moved to splitting up their vids through multiple channels. Give me one damn channel with different playlists. Screw the algorithm.

I can’t lie I’m a little sad that opinion pieces are going on a separate channel but I understand it’s for the greater health of the main channel. It is certainly a little less convenient for the die hard Preach fans but if the main channel flourishes from it then it’s for the best.
I think Preach is seeding the new construction with some of that Asmongold black mold - hope it works!

Your big project videos are always excellent (and I've been watching them since the very beginning, even if I barely ever comment) so it's nice to hear about a renewed focus on them.
In terms of stream content, the Terraria streams have been some of my absolute favourites to watch. That game has such an incredible sense of escalation and progression and it's been a joy to watch you uncover it piece by piece (even if master mode is a poor way to do it).
