I have really enjoyed watching your videos on TH-cam. I have to say you are brilliant at your job as I never knew how much you spend on your own. Keep safe and look forward to watching more ❤
What an inspirational journey so far. My grandfather had a truck from when dad left school in 1967 til he died in '86. dad had to sell it because he couldn't farm and drive. Fast forward to when I left school in 93, dad bought a truck. When he died in 2018 we had 7, all on agricultural haulage like you. I had to sell them because I couldn't run them and the farm, and it didn't make enough to pay someone to fill the gap. My daughters are 12 and 15, who knows what the future holds! Keep on truckin Jemma, great videos, thank you.
I’m glad you’ve never herald of drivers stealing grain etc . I have chased trucks for miles having instructed the merchants that I wanted a tare weight and then a gross , and when I have finally caught up with them found them in another farm , miles from their destinations tipping a couple of tonnes to share with a unscrupulous thriving farmer to a value of maybe £300~£500 they could do this trick several times a week . Until they got caught. But they never got away with their little scam as hard as they tried . I had them weighed in and weighed out on a local weigh bridge in my presence . They didn’t like it , but they never stole an ounce of grain from me . I’m sure drivers are honest these days. Jemma I think you’re a great asset to haulers , polite , helpful and kind . I had a concrete yard about a acre for trucks to unload ferts , chems and load grains , but several times believe it or not I was threatened if I made them go to tare or gross . As I said hopefully things are much better nowadays than in the 70s. 80s 90s and early 2000s All the best Jemma .
Hi Jemma, love your story!!!! Looking forward to following your life on the road. I grew up with lorries in the late 1950s until the CPC lark came along which for our small farm was just the last straw. Take care and thank you.
Yes unfortunately it has spoiled the way it was. It feels like a constant struggle keeping up with the rules. I will do my best to keep you entertained 😁
Hi again Jemma, having just subscribed to your channel it offered me this one to watch, and I am pleased it did, you spoke alot more in this one, which was great and reminded me of my late partner who sadly died Aug last year, she (Valerie) was from the west country, Somerset to be exact, so hearing your accent really warmed my heart and brought back some lovely memories, we were together 20 years and I still miss her, thank you for sharing. All the very best to you, from Nick.
you have me hooked, just for the humanitarian aid to Ukraine,as a Amateur radio operator i always strive to contact as many Ukrainian operators as possible, currently most of the western side of Ukraine are back on the airwaves, although still not floating about is the group of 10 Ukrainian merchant seamen (different ships though) who used to be quite active, 1 in particular i had a contact with him waiting in the pull on the Suez canal and 2 days later he was waiting for the fuel bowser anchored off of Gibraltar, you have my respect for the humanitarian aid trip Bravo Jemma :) :)
Thanks Jemma for that i used to drive trucks untill i took retirment i do miss it now i have another satisfying job. keep up the good work will always watch your videos see you on the road sometime happy trucking.
Hi Jemma, I've passed you loads of times on the M5 exceter,Its the best job in the world I love it done it all my life following on from my dad.I work for logillistics from Sheffield contracting for tarmac the tipper world is brilliant i wouldn't do any other job and its nice to see more and more woman coming into the industry look foward to seeing you out there again drive safe and keep the hammer down
Hiya Jem. I love those videos of yours that I've only just randomly found on YT. I'm already best friends with a lady truck driver via YT, and she's local to me. In fact, I've always liked lady friends for as long as I can possibly remember. Great stuff Jem, and keeeeeeeeeeeep driving.
Just stumbled upon your channel Jemma.. I love your optimism and cheerfulness - and the fact you have been really successful as a class 1 driver - and you don't have to put up with the indignity of RDCs!! I've had my class 1 for too long now, and i still use it from time to time. If all driving jobs were as yours, I'd do it full time!! Sadly, beating up and down the motorways from one RDC to the next isn't all that much fun - even if the pay has improved. But trucking is what you make of it - and you've made a real splash! Completely agree regarding driverless vehicles. I wouldn't worry, it will only take a few litigation cases to cool the ardour for them. The trouble now is that a lot of those making the rules do not understand some people actually enjoy driving. They enjoy engines. There may be a small risk attached, but we don't stop using staircases because one day we might fall down and break our necks! The driverless vehicles are about control, and I sincerely hope for future generations' sake they don't become the norm. Just subscribed! Keep up the good work! Your channel is really helping to dilute my cynicism for the industry !;-)
Brilliant, Jemma, as always! You seem to be both artistic and meticulous at the same time. Being an electrical engineer with a keen interest in sustainable technology I can quite agree that the next 20 years will be exciting. Electric trucks are introduced now and eTrailers next year. I imagine, as soon as charging points are built (Gridserve etc) Wains will save a lot of money running on more electricity and less diesel.
This truck is so beautiful as you are, thanks for the video, we do not have trucks like this one in Canada, i am enjoying your video, and wich to see more, Have a good day..From Canada.
That was a wonderful introduction video Jemma! now I see why you got nominated for the award, and I also am pleased to have subscribed to your channel.
What a fantastic person you are Gemma so nice to see people follow there dreams and further more have the out look on life you have fair play well done
A nice story of you passion. Also it's clear that you do really enjoy your job. I too was a truck mechanic. Also diesel fuel injection engineer. My father too was a driver from just after the war until late 90s. As you say a lot more ladies driving. Thankfully for all drivers mechanisation has took most of the hard hand ball out of the job. Not long found you on YT love the honesty of your blogs. Take care. X
Thank you. Yes I do really enjoy it. To be honest I don’t know what else I would do now, it’s too ingrained in me. Nice to hear your background has similarities to mine☺️
Hi Jemma your video's are great I remember seeing you going up and the M5 from time to time in a topliner with a big hat on the dash and it's still on the dash i can see you love your work keep it up 👍👍
Morning Jemma yes it was a some time ago had a job delivering loaders all down round your neck of the country on down in to Cornwall had a 18t white Merc back in the day .👍👍
Very inspiring video. A few times throughout my life I have pondered about trucking & I'm interested in doing this although would need to get my actual driving licence 1st lol. I don't have family commitments, I love travelling as well as camping which I would kinda be doing so seems perfect & there seems to be high demand too.
Great to hear your story, I’m a carpenter and have enjoyed seeing your passion for trucking. Always liked the thought of driving a big truck. Your dad must be proud of you 😊 Keep up the great work and stay safe 👍🏼 I’ll check out your other videos.
Just wow. Milk tanker driver is definitely in at the deep end. You certainly don't lack determination. Scania ought to pick you up as a brand ambassador. Maybe one day you'll get to Australia and drive a roadtrain.
Hello from Australia. Almost 30 years driving, 25 of them on fuel in Queensland. By the look of your truck interior, you like red. God help the relief driver who is in it when your on holidays. :) I've watched a number of your videos, I'm impressed with your skill and patience in tight situations on farms and the yard where you tipped the clay. (bloody hell, what a mess of a place). Over here, most long distance tippers off farms etc are BDoubles and roadtrains with American trucks predominantly. However, Volvo (mainly) and Scania are starting to make inroads. You have certainly blinged up your truck well, the painting on the rear of the cab is impressive. Does the Scania have an ice pack for sleeping in the heat? It seems to have everything thing else. I hope you do well and good luck in the future. PS, what's with the Caterpillar TShirt? Your driving a Scania, mate. Be loyal to big V8....:)
Fuel must be interesting especially in a hot country like Australia. Red is popular here and also I goes with the company livery. We follow a very Dutch style here. I have been to American and have seen how differently interesting the trucks are there. Interesting to know you are starting to get scania. We don’t really have CAT engines in our trucks here just in our plant machinery. My gramps was a bid CAT fan so it’s more of a nod to him ☺️ thanks for your message and watching my videos ☺️
Totaly hooked on your vids so very interesting love how you do stuff yourself to yourtruck you are awsome your boss must be so proud to have you stay safe lookforward to your next video
Fantastic story and soooo watchable.. pointing out the freedoms we enjoy in the uk is gratefulness and I hope i remains. It’s all very worrying in 2023. I feel very controlled nowadays. I have just dealt with probate for my parents and the level of control is horrible plus Vat on everything even when you’re gone. Motorists are persecuted in every way they can be as are such easy targets. I feel about ICE the same as you. Find an alternative but don’t scare the crap out of people in the change.
Brilliant video Jemma a lot of very interesting points especially on diesel engines I like your Dad am a motor mechanic and have worked on small Lister Petter and heavy plant power units all have their own special sound from a TS 3 Rootes 2 stroke to a Scania V8 hopefully the hydrogen engines will come on stream xx
Thank you! Yes it always amazes me how people like my dad and yourself are so I tune with all types of engines. It’s a real skill unlike just fitting. I’m really interested to find out more about hydrogen, I already prefer them over electric after bits I’ve heard
I'm starting with HGV1 .it's a very difficult starting, because i never did that before. Starting doing jobs from Heathrow X Doncaster X Heathrow. Man Truck. God bless you
This is the 3rd one ive watched of yours. Your background is great. Your views re future spot on. I doubt diesels will be totally replaced by electric. They are already complaining that the infrastructure for electric trucks is not being built quick enough. Neither for cars.
I loved your video you need to be very proud of what you have achieved I would love to get my hgv but the cost is to much for me but I can dream but I lack confidence in myself but I hope you keep doing what you are doing and stay safe I just hope more women do truck driving it's all equal no matter what job it is stay safe and please take care 🥰
Great introduction to trucking and you are an inspiration. Have to disagree on the smell of diesel though 😖 Its foul. I've spent most if my life as a mechanic and have never got used to the smell of diesel, or petrol for that matter, yuk.
Sadly society dogma is deeply entrenched with what’s classed as normal and women in the truck driving profession has always been the worst because it’s always been classed as a man’s job.. I personally know a female hgv driver and she is as good at this job as any guy infact on some points a lot better than most of the guys I’ve known in the 27 years I’ve been in this industry.. I’ve been and worked europe for a Swiss company and a couple of the Dutch companies and thats how i ended up freinds with her because we both relate to each other’s journey in this industry… I personally think it’s fabulous to see women getting into this industry because it’s not just a man’s job it’s for anyone who wants to give it a go and your doing a fabulous job Jemma infact I’m subbed now following your journey in this industry.. I can say a lot has changed for me in 27 years I’ve seen so much change in the industry some of it not so good but i still go out and crack on with it mainly because it’s all I’ve known for the best part of my life and I have some fab memories of all the people I’ve met and the laughs we had along the way and despite spending the best part of my life apart from my family I can honestly say I have no regrets whatsoever.. I just work a day job now and sleep in my own bed every night and that suits me for what I want now… Life is about learning and making memories and I always say live your best life story not someone elses because it’s you that writes the script to your personal journey and you seem well happy with how its going so don’t change a thing jus keep on trucking girl👍
Love your journey d.i.y girl. That's what I did with my youngest girl go with your dreams I told her years later she's driving trucks now buses for a our biggest city in New Zealand
Wow Jemma such an interesting video, my father had many tractors as a hobby, and we worked together as operators of bulldozers and heavy machines , it’s so nice to see your truck so clean! I’m told I have o c d because I’m cleaning the excavator all the time ha , but like getting dirty repairing stuff , the only people to nick grain is the. Russians 😉Kev
Jemma , the trucking industry can never use EV trucks because the batteries for a 40 tonne truck would weigh around 8 tonnes as far as I understand from Lord Bamford . But , I do stand to be corrected. Again , you’re a great asset to your industry.😘
Very interresting to hear about your thoughts about the future of the trucking business. Yes there will be some quite dramatic changes if they decide have only electric trucks instead of deasel. But for us who lives where it can get very cold -35 C, or colder. There aren´t many old truckers who belive in electric truck will have any impact of the trucks in anear future. they just don´t think they are reliable. Also very interresting to see under what conditions you work. I so far followed truckers like Trucker Cassie, Shelby (happines by the miles) and wona Blecharczyk. Since i really do agree what she has to say about the conditions about being out on the roads down on the continent. But it was really nicelisten to yuo, have seen some of your vlogs and i admire you skill on those narrow road. Stay safe on the road and happy x-mas
I’m open minded about electric although I think your right. I’m keener to see and hear more about hydrogen but like you say colder temperatures might be an issue with them also. Ah yes they are all great girls ☺️☺️
All ways like watching your videos you I did the same as you saved and saved for my class one not sure about you I found it very hard for the first couple of years nobody helps you much they love it when you make a mistake you obviously love the job just as I do I think females can do the job just the same as I can and I would have no problems working a long side them the best thing now is since we have all got a lot of miles under are belts it's us now that show the new drivers how to do it pls don't lose the Passion for the job I think you're one of the best vloggers out there as you show how it is for real and I'm really envy you doing my dream job on the blowers 😉
Well one thing for certain is. You certainly do love your job. I love the story of how you got into the trade and the fact that you proved people wrong about fulfilling your dream. I work on the railways and even though I cover a certain set of routes and can do the same trains 3 days in a row. each day is different and I do get so see some beautiful scenery. I love that more women are coming into male dominated jobs and in my opinion most women can be better than the blokes
You say about people robbing.. best I had was a 40ft container with watermelons that got broke into.. they must have been pissed when they seen them big old watermelons 🍉 lmao 🤣 keep trucking stay safe and Ill flash you on the road
CAN I BE RUDE? HOW OLD ARE YOU? I think ype forgot a very important person: your husband / partner. Not only support, but trust. Most men wouldn't have their attractive wife working in a rough industry and sleeping "in the wild".
Thanks for sharing your story with us. Your passion for trucking shines through everything you say. I also love the professionalism that you show with your morning checks, your courteous and excellent driving - and your skill in your reversing. It’s almost an art. I hope you continue in your career and that you continue to share it with us.
KEEP ON TRUCKING.

Don't underestimate those Fordson Majors.... Unbelievable work horses with a Perkins Engine. Revolutionised farming across the world.
Nick, I am deeply sorry for your loss! I know she would have been a great lady if she was from Somerset ☺️

Hi Jemma. Found this film very interesting. Leaned a lot. Keep smiling and trucking ❤
You are smart, down to earth, and pretty - outside and in.
Hiya Jem. I love those videos of yours that I've only just randomly found on YT. I'm already best friends with a lady truck driver via YT, and she's local to me. In fact, I've always liked lady friends for as long as I can possibly remember. Great stuff Jem, and keeeeeeeeeeeep driving.
Thank you ☺️ that great. There are a lot of us around now ☺️
Just stumbled upon your channel Jemma..
Thank you! Hope you stumble across a driving job that gets you out of the rdc’s one day ☺️
Yes, I do love your truck out of the ordinary. That is a fine truck you have there. I hope you have an a blessed day see you soon

I’ve been and worked europe for a Swiss company and a couple of the Dutch companies and thats how i ended up freinds with her because we both relate to each other’s journey in this industry…
I personally think it’s fabulous to see women getting into this industry because it’s not just a man’s job it’s for anyone who wants to give it a go and your doing a fabulous job Jemma infact I’m subbed now following your journey in this industry..
I just work a day job now and sleep in my own bed every night and that suits me for what I want now…
Life is about learning and making memories and I always say live your best life story not someone elses because it’s you that writes the script to your personal journey and you seem well happy with how its going so don’t change a thing jus keep on trucking girl👍
Love your journey d.i.y girl. That's what I did with my youngest girl go with your dreams I told her years later she's driving trucks now buses for a our biggest city in New Zealand
That’s fab! Does she post about it on social media? ☺️
Well done.......
Hi Jemma brilliant videos your a star xx
Really enjoy your content might buy you something on your Amazon wishlist! ;)
Thank you for watching! You are too kind ☺️☺️
Jemma , the trucking industry can never use EV trucks because the batteries for a 40 tonne truck would weigh around 8 tonnes as far as I understand from Lord Bamford . But , I do stand to be corrected. Again , you’re a great asset to your industry.😘
Lovely truck credit to you. How hard is it to wire the front led marker lights. Our mechanics always to busy cause we break everything.
Thanks!!!
You could try driving a Roadtrain in Australia.
well im with you all the way on driver less vehicles on the roads
Great video 👍.
I've seen your truck many times.... hat on the dash normally caught in traffic between junctions 20 and 21 M5 on a Friday! take care and best wishes!
Haha that just about sums my working weeks up perfectly🤣🤣
Congrats on your career
All ways like watching your videos you I did the same as you saved and saved for my class one not sure about you I found it very hard for the first couple of years nobody helps you much they love it when you make a mistake you obviously love the job just as I do I think females can do the job just the same as I can and I would have no problems working a long side them the best thing now is since we have all got a lot of miles under are belts it's us now that show the new drivers how to do it pls don't lose the Passion for the job I think you're one of the best vloggers out there as you show how it is for real and I'm really envy you doing my dream job on the blowers 😉
👍👍💗💗
My other half reversing a car is not good! Sit her in our LWB Transit with a trailer and she becomes excellent!? What happens there I wonder!? Cheers
Haha to be honest I’ve become better at driving a truck than a car 😁
Well one thing for certain is. You certainly do love your job. I love the story of how you got into the trade and the fact that you proved people wrong about fulfilling your dream. I work on the railways and even though I cover a certain set of routes and can do the same trains 3 days in a row. each day is different and I do get so see some beautiful scenery. I love that more women are coming into male dominated jobs and in my opinion most women can be better than the blokes
Maby You should buy a drone to your fantastic roads view ❤
I would love one but so expensive. Maybe one day ☺️
Hi Jemma,
Why do you need your past port for ID. ?
You say about people robbing.. best I had was a 40ft container with watermelons that got broke into.. they must have been pissed when they seen them big old watermelons 🍉 lmao 🤣 keep trucking stay safe and Ill flash you on the road
😂😂 oh goodness😅 I can see the faces on them 😅. What a brilliant story to tell 😁
@@jemmawarren27 u should make trucking vlogs on here next xx
Fat old me in the pic of us and ramblers 😂😂😂
For goodness sake alice you are far from fat you wolly 🤦🏼♀️
How do u reverse do u lean out of window
Depends on the reverse but if it benefits me to see more clearly then yes I will
@@jemmawarren27 I drive a double decker bus so difficult to reverse I slide the window across and lean out as far as I can would you do this
To be honest when I’ve driven a ridged or my tractor unit on its own I just use my mirrors
wagon driving is lonely and unhealthy 😢
CAN I BE RUDE? HOW OLD ARE YOU?
I think ype forgot a very important person: your husband / partner. Not only support, but trust. Most men wouldn't have their attractive wife working in a rough industry and sleeping "in the wild".
"Lonly job"....??? What are you talking about??? not true!
You need more women only toilet/ showers.
Keep on 🛻 ng
