Hey i hope you dont mind me asking but, how did you get so good at reads? This game is honestly really hard to get good at. I understand looking for a pattern, but the fact that i gotta keep an eye out from 3 directions instead of the usual 2 (2d fighters) can really throw me for a loop.

Most mixups are not direction-based, or do you mean the light parries? If you just started out just focus on blocking tbh

This might be a boring answer, but you just gotta play more. Like sometimes there is just something inside of me that tells me « yep he’s going to throw a left light next » and so i can parry lights sometimes on a ps4. You will start to recognize patterns at some point but there are no fast way to be good at it. Otherwise everyone could just be god at reads. One advice i could give is this: start analyzing what you did wrong in each fight when you die to get better and avoid getting salty (the hardest part).
