I appreciate the repetition with the arm bar subs. It’s helpful to start recognizing the setups. I’ve been trying the kimura grip for control and it’s already been very effective. Thank you 👊🏼

I just got my blue belt and had one of our black belt coaches intro me with a roll like this immediately after. Just tap after tap after tap like I was a first day white belt again. It was a nice humbling reminder of how far I really have to go

Really like the pause to see if we can see what's vulnerable. Also liked the end of the match breakdown at the end that was in other videos. It makes it easier to retain the knowledge, during rolling the info is coming and going so fast it's hard to absorb

Best content as usual. When you hit the kimura sweep on Simon and he stayed in the mat not going towards or away from you, I am sure he was remembering your sentence "It is cool to let your opponents decide their fate" from the kimura trap video. I know my white belt ass would also stay there in the middle knowing that both sides mean danger.

For the mounted Ezekiel, if you want to finish it, start by switching your grip and grab the opposite sleeve on the bottom arm. Bump the head with the arm as if your throwing a normal Ezekiel and shift your arms to the opposite side under the head and flare the chokeling hand out and squeeze.
Not sure if it has a name, I call it the zip toggle Ezekiel. But it catches people off gaurd, and if they see it coming as a normal choke, they tuck their head that way and expose the far side to it

I like the sound of the smash style tbh, a few videos of that wouldn't go amiss. My coach (Chris Paine) rolls like that with us, and we describe him as setting cement. Just adding layers and layers of crushing control until you feel entirely locked up.

I have this one situation I am finding myself all the time in, when going for an armbar(already in the"spiderweb" one of the guys always puts my leg in between his legs, so I am ending up loosing position. Are you planning on some sub finishing mistakes video? If yes, can you advice on this one? Thanks a lot in advance, I really like your work.

Love your video and I also like that you kept choosing to armbar him. Repeatedly hitting the same thing can be such a good way to get someone thinking.
As a blue belt myself the best learning is to be subbed by the same technique. Sometimes a purple or brown will pick a technique and keep hitting me with it. After two taps my brain starts going into overdrive trying to work backwards and pick what I did wrong and what they did to draw me into doing that.
