Mr Daniel I have the same model of scooter 150 cc thanks for the video in my humble opinion I prefer other colors greetings from Venezuela this video help me to buy and fix some pieces to my scooter
Thanks Dewet! It is sometimes a learning curve but I enjoy trying to do everything myself "at least once". Something you probably understand very well😉
Wow. Such a nice compliment 😁 thank you!! Yes I enjoy doing as much as possible myself. It's not always the best it could be, but at least I learn new skills all the time.
i was the same way when i got into scooting but after watching youtube videos they are actually easy to repair or you could just buy a whole engine for like 350 online and swap like 4 bolts lmao and some wiring
Yup… break disc is normally on the right hand side and the speedometer pickup on the right hand fork, i think you switched the sides of the front shocks.
@@BroughBuilt The very best Scooter 🛵 Restoration video I have seen so far my friend...🙏 I just bought one myself in the same conditions if not worse. And has been sitting outside in a yard for five years... 😮 😳 Although barely has 1,000 miles on it... Only paid $50 + $100 for a Lost Title so think I think it is worth saving & restoring..! 👍 Your video has showed me the way and so cannot Thank you enough...🙏 🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵🛵 Happy Scooting to you..!
I mean there is legit no need. Since the exhaust is anyways gonna get rusty over time... Its just enough to spray over a rubber coating that is heat resistant and that is it...
Thank you!! I decided on the plastic cover to make the seat waterproof and more durable. It works well and the seat isn't slippery at all. I actually got the idea from a ride-on lawnmower.
Bro I wish you would have slowed down and showed unhooking and redoing each component, would have been a long video, but I'm watching to learn to repair these items so I can do it myself on my scooter??
i got a keeway f-act 2007 ... 2 stroke minarelli horizontal :3 i hope i can do the things you done to this one ... its basicaly the same , only thing is i got smaller engine and different front end ... btw what did you polish the headlight glass and odometer plastic with ??? pls tell meh
Cool man. You should do it! It was very gratifying to give new life to her. Polishing the headlights is a four step process: first I sand them with 1000grit wet paper till even and matt, then I use compound (like car burnishing compound. Toothpaste will also work). Then polish with car polish. Lastly spray on some Pledge (or any other furniture cleaner) and buff off. Voila!
I bought a scooter for $175 and it’s a complete piece. All the plastics are broken and wiring harnesses butchered, missing pieces left and right. I’m thinking of just doing this but don’t know where to start lol
Wow, what a transformation! Does anyone here know how to paint the plastic covering? (Their black on this scooter here) I found a lovely vintage inspired scooter second-hand for a good price, it‘s working perfectly, but sadly the darkbrown plastic parts are faded by the sun in colour. The rest looks totally fine. I‘m not sure how to fix the sun damaged parts as I‘ve never done any restoration on scooters before 🥴
Hi. You can buy a "plastic primer" from hardware stores. They even come in aerosol. Rustoleum makes a good product. Just sand the raw plastic part with 600gritt water sanding paper, paint the primer, then after it has dried sand it lightly with 600gritt again just to scuff it evenly and then paint with whatever color aerosol you choose.
Haha! Sorry dude! I completely forgot to end the vid with a shot of me driving into the sunset. But yes it starts and drives beautifully. Only troubles I had till now was a dirty carburetor. But it was easily fixed.
Man, I appreciate speeding up the film so that we could see the whole thing. But you sped it up so fast that I just could not follow what you were doing so much of the time. I went back a couple of times to watch something 2-3 times just to follow what you had done and still could not see it. Waaaay to fast.

Bravo, that was impressive. Mechanics, electrics, paint and body, and upholstery. You sir are a man of many talents.
Hehe. Thanks man!
@@BroughBuilt I was impressed by the sewing skills....you looked determined to do it all on your own. Awesome transformation.
Thank you. Some call me stubborn, but I love trying my hand at everything.

Thanks man. Appreciated. Go well.
You went above an beyond for this. about lost it when i saw you were taking the shocks apart. Well done
Thank you!
Wow, must be nice having the power to rebuild a scooter from the ground up! I can't even disassemble my kick start correctly!😂
Haha😂. You shouldn't sell yourself short mate. But thanks for that!

NIce set of skills. By the time you busted out a sewing machine i was like no way!!

The front tire is turned upside down, good job

When the sewing machine made an appearance I lost my mind. Great job

Outstanding work!
nice rebuild man only a shame you didn't put on new tires those were worn out :)
Thanks a lot man. I have put some new ones on in the meantime 😃
Good job ❤
Wow! Nice job. Im speechless

The silencer could have been treated better, no removal of dust rust, straight painting not even primer

I really enjoyed this. Another great video, thanks Danie!

Fantastic job! Just wondering, why the plastic film over the seat? Doesn't it make slippery to sit on?

This scooter have a distant cousin called MZ Moskito 125 RX. I have one too and currently restoring bit by bit.

Awesome brother, but i think need more camera. Just my opinion and sorry for my english.
Thank you. I'm working on getting more cameras and better sound. Thanks for your feedback!
whats the brand name of the scooter sir?
Was it really that easy ?
Well... It goes much faster on video but at the end of the day it wasn't that difficult. Just be consistent and finish everything.
