Me: A Malayali, Sitting in Europe and watching my homeland through the vlog by a european. Thank you :) I have visited varkala during college tours and when i was in trivandrum
Wow! Varkala looks beautiful! Thanks for sharing the tips and trips, WONDERFUL video! Travel is one of the things that excites me most, and I try to maximize travel hacking to let me see as many places like this as possible! Great video!
Great to hear you enjoyed and it might inspire you! I also enjoy watching travel vlogs, especially from places that I would only dream of, since I'm not planning on trying to travel to every corner of the world 😊🙏
it is very nice place, near to me. i am in allapuzha ,you can check that in youtube. it is tho most attractive backwater village area namely kuttanadu. i hope next time you visit here also.
Great video !!! Wow 😯 i love India and the Indian culture and food 🇮🇳 I Love it and i love this wonderful places you filmed❤️👍🏻 I am a Swiss World Traveler and It will be nice to connect with other travelers !!! Cheers from Switzerland 🇨🇭
Me and my wife were in Varkala in Jan/Feb last year. About the time, I guess, when the vid was shot....? I know Varkala from my first visit in 1989. On my 2nd trip the first small restaurant hat opended on the cliff top. Old memories...
Covid19 is very much happening here in Kerala too. And pretty much all over the world 😟 I don't support travelling during these times. We were in Varkala last New Year's 😊
i heard that , india is popular around the world for their , food and culture, bollywood and the wedding dress . i heard it from other people like 1000 times , that indian wedding dress are so damn beautiful
Accidentally came across your vlog, very refreshing something different from others, already subscribed and intend to watch whole series, welcome being an Indian.
My place .. there is a secret place in varkala most visitors miss out .its called azhiirakam beach. Its 2 km from the cliff side . Stunning view and u have a beautiful volleyball court at the beach.. tipp....(in case u dont bring a ball there is always a ball at the right end of the beach).
Great boogie boarding videos. And the drum circles at night were really fun too. Here in Venice Beach California there’s drum circles on the beach at night too but not fancy like that.
Am here in Turku, sleeping my ass off on a rainy Saturday, looking at a Finnish girl explore indian places. Just epic! Btw the pain of not having a proper Finnish meal is real. It's been 3years since I came to Turku and I myself miss it sometimes.
Just a small tip. Varkala has 3 syllables, Var-ka-la. When the locals pronounce this, all the syllables are considerably shortened, so it should sound more like Vrkla. Also when you say Kerala, the first syllable should be slightly longer than the other two, so it should sound more like Ker-la. Hope you don't mind me saying this.
Oh no I don't mind it at all. Thank you for the tip! I'll try to adapt to the local pronunciation, though it might take me some time to ge it properly :)
because we get 365 sunlight and heat most are not interested in sea swimming, like if you get 36 days sunlight finland all the country will be swimming in sea
In trivandrum there is a beach called " Ezhimala " it's a beautiful and not a crowded beach, have more peaceful and privacy there also have beautiful resorts and traditional temple with large sculpture of god mahasiva . It's about 30 km away from varkala , when you goto varkala try to visit there also .
Looks like a beautiful place. I have seen Goa vlogs from another TH-cam, it is a similar beach setup, except hippies in Goa, and Kerala looks different from Goa. Both are places to be at. India is so different from one place to another, it is like many countries in one. I hope to visit someday. Need atleast a year vacation to visit and see India. Your vlogs are very well done and informative. 100% pure vegetarians and vegans do not want any kind of animal food cooked in the same vessels would have a hard time finding pure vegetarian food in Kerala?
I've spent a lot of time in Goa too, but I prefer Varkala and Kerala. Goa is a bit too crowded, noisy and westernised in my honest opinion. And I also think the food is overall healthier in kerala. 😊 But don't get me wrong, I LOVE Goa too! Especially South Goa, though I fear it would have also become too popular since the last time I visited 😬 It's easy to find veg/pure veg restaurants anywhere in India, Kerala too. And I strongly doubt they'd use the same utensils for cooking veg and non-veg. To my understanding that goes even against ayurvedic principles.🙂
But isn't it the moonsoon there at the moment? I've been there years ago and although I thought it was beautiful, of course, I found it too noisy at times, particularly in the evenings and it was almost impossible to rest. It's the sort of tourism you get everywhere now, it's a bit like Thailand.. Still, I enjoyed your vlog!
Like I say both in the vlog and its description, we were in Varkala during the last New Year's celebrations. I personally didn't find it too noisy when staying a bit further away from the cliff. Obviously when we stayed right next to the restaurants, it was quite noisy especially during the celebrations. I haven't been to Thailand, but I find Varkala different from other beach destinations in Europe I've been to. My favourite part is the absolutely fantastic, authentic yoga/meditation/Ayurveda selection 😊
@@JohannaNorth Ho yes, ok! I misunderstood. Thanks for replying and keep enjoying India. India is very special to me because it did a lot of good for my health..
That's so wonderful to hear! I, or especially my body, initially had a hard time adjusting to living in India, but after my ayurvedic treatment that I got in Varkala precisely, I see a huge overall improvement to my health also compared to when I was still living in Finland! 😊🙏
Hey Great 🏊 . Amazing trip to Varkala with you. Such a beautiful beaches, yoga on beach, sunbathing and amazing water sports, Really enjoyable . And special 💃 🌃 where we got many varieties of dances like Finnish dance, Bro dance, single rock star dance and many more. The locals do go out in the water- be it rivers or beaches. The reason why most other Indians dont get into the water is SAFETY. There are hardly any decent lifeguards in these beaches. Add to this the fact that surfing equipment is expensive.
You don't need surfing equipment to get into the water and renting the bodyboard wasn't that expensive for someone who is there on a holiday anyways 😊 also if you know how to swim and have some common sense, for example not going too far away from the beach, I hardly see there any safety issues
It's hard to whatch those people that live on a base "day by day". The irrational lock-down has ruined many peoples lifes. It shows one more time that the governments (I mean worldwide) don't know their own people they are ruling. I hope that better days will come and the tourists come again bringing money to India. And for me: I want to come and travel through India again, meet my Indian friends and see more of this beautiful country. I was there 5 times for a few months and I just got an idea what it is. I reside in Germany but I live in India because I left my heart there! Namaste.
