Rossmcl177, I think this was the performance I was privileged to see at Edinburgh's Usher Hall,1969/70.Perfect mix of superb musicianship and audience held in the palms of their 4 talented hands. Sigh!

This was them in their absolute hey-day. Early-mid 70s I'd guess? They were still good in the 1980s but theyd lost something by then I think. They were just great in this period though.
does anybody know if there is somone comparable with the Corries nowadays? were they so unique? people (not only Scots) should sing such songs, for reminding that there are other things about life than only money and sex
@Scottishindependance Though I don't entirely disagree with your comment (though I think James Taylor is a better singer), the fact that you can't spell independence just shows the endless stupidity behind the Scottish independence movement.

I listen to the Corries every day and play them for my grand children. I love them. I play the Night Visitor Song before I go to bed every night.
That last performance of Luke Kelly singing Night visitor makes me cry every time I hear it.
I used to see them in concert as a child. I'm in awe of the harmonies when they sing

I think this performance was a little later than that. Mid 70s I think. Can't remember the exact year.

Absolutely was. The Corries were really special. You are so lucky you got to see them live when you did.
