Kara is a solid beam worker but some of the split rings are quite deductible and questionable (but the judges here are not being so harsh so it hasn’t effected her.) It also annoys me that she still competes that y turn even though it doesn’t add anything to her difficulty score and only adds deductions. But I hope she does well in event finals, she is a strong balance beam worker.

The first ring/split ring leap her legs never went up at the same time (it doesn't even form a split), the second one (the split ring jump) is better but her front leg is still under horizontal, and the last one/switch ring leap is even better but her back leg is not high enough.
Woo hoo! And this was actually the weakest I've seen her be on beam....she looked nervous and made some uncharacteristic wobbles. Also missed some connections. Still my favorite beam worker in the world because of her fluidity throughout the whole routine (a bit like the Dutch), her style (like the Chinese), her dance difficulty (the Y turn!), and that acro series - my favorite ever on beam, perfected by the Romanian great Aurelia Dobre. Kara's in a class of her own :)
