Thank you very much. I thought that was very informative. In fact, I’ve saw the video at least half a dozen times before I takeoff to the happy hunting grounds in Montana. And it doesn’t hurt to add a GPS tracker inside the gun case also. Because I don’t want my firearms ending up in Hawaii or Fiji. I would be totally bummed out.😊
Great video! Quick question, is it okay if my ammo is mixed in with my clothes and not in a gun case? Like if it’s in the original ammo box but just laying around in my suitcase? Thanks!
Great informational video! Do you lock the suitcase that holds the hardsided, locked pistol case? And can you insert an empty magazine into the unloaded firearm (waste of space by not inserting it)? I haven't been locking the suitcase itself.
So can I use my Sig factory case with locks as an approved case? If so, I can keep the mags loaded, but out of the gun, but still in the locked factory case correct?
Glad you get through so easy, I have nothing but problems with the TSA fools. that know nothing including the rules of flying with guns or ammo. If the TSA can't hire and train their people with the proper rules and terminology they should be defunded.
@@GUNS-GDC Seattle 5 years ago, going to Alaska to hunt Caribou. The TSA agent, male, was so inept he didn't understand that a long gun in a metal case with 6 separate, non keyed alike locks, was to keep him and his associates out. The fool confiscated my rifle because it was locked up so they couldn't easily gain access to the case. Took me 6 months to finally get my rifle and case back. They had cut the locks off at some time or other and broke the ocular lense in the scope. But this was all my fault. Now I ship everything by FedEx weeks before flying and I advise everyone to do the same. Defund the TSA or make them responsible for the fools they hire.
@@rayc.1396 Pre-shipping is a good idea if it's an option. Just make sure to ship it to yourself (c/o your host or guide as needed) and don't let anybody else open it. A non-FFL opening the package with a firearm in it would be a federal offense.
@@OriginalEric I send them over night to an FFL that is close to where I am landing. Used to be pretty cheap, still is if you take into account the cost of rifle, scope and hard case, that is near 5K for the one I will ship next week.
Ammo must be separate from your locked gun(s). But it can be in the same bag that contains the locked case containing your unloaded gun. There is a fairly comprehensive article on our site Howard with more information. Thank you Sir.
According to the TSA, yes. "Firearm magazines and ammunition clips, whether loaded or empty, must be securely boxed or included within a hard-sided case containing an unloaded firearm. Read the requirements governing the transport of ammunition in checked baggage as defined by 49 CFR 175.10 (a)(8)." "Ammunition may be transported in the same hard-sided, locked case as a firearm if it has been packed as described above. You cannot use firearm magazines or clips for packing ammunition unless they completely enclose the ammunition. Firearm magazines and ammunition clips, whether loaded or empty, must be boxed or included within a hard-sided, locked case." www.tsa.gov/travel/transporting-firearms-and-ammunition
Thank you. From what I thought I knew previously, I would have missed a flight. Go Big Sky.
Glad it's a help.
No body gets in the gun case for any reason without you.
Fun fact, only you and the pilots know that there are firearms onboard. They don’t advertise that sh$t around the airport.
Thanks Taylor!
Hint - my hardcase has two cutouts for my AR 10 . ONE FOR THE LOWER , ON FOR THE UPPER. DISASSEMBLED THE AIRPORTS LOVE IT. GOES THROUGH NO PROBLEM.
Very nice. Thanks for sharing Michael.
This is good information but I’ve never seen one of these videos thistle is 100% correct.

great video with lots of good information just make sure your flight doesn't get diverted to a place like NYC you will be arrested on the spot
😆 😆
If diverted, do not take possession of the firearm. Tell them to send it to final destination
Thank you. This is great detail.
Glad it was helpful Neil.
Yesss gurl thank you👍🏾💯🙏🏾
Would love to see a video on international regulations.👍🏼
Very informative! Thanks a million!
Lots of good information. Thank you.

@@rayc.1396 I assumed you did it right, my comment was for others who might be wondering how you do that
You do not have to have as many locks as there are holes. As long as they cannot get a finger in there while it is lock you are fine.
Great video
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it.
Where do you put your ammo? In the firearms case?
Good info Taylor. 200 rounds of 9mm isn't a lot, how do send more ammo for a competition?
Can you put your guns and ammo in the same case?
I’ve heard that a small safe should be used rather than a lockable case to prevent theft. Is this true?
Traveling from NJ to NC with a handgun - will I have an issue in Newark?
Do you recommend separating the magazine?
Yes.
What about loaded magazines in the case?
I've always been told they need to be in the manufacturer's (Federal, Fiocchi, whatever) packaging.
@@TheSuburban15 unloaded mags and only in factory boxes. Got it thanks.
Don't use TSA locks they can open but give them your combination? What?
With TSA locks they can open it without you knowing. If they call and ask for the combo at least you know.
Can your ammunition be locked up in the same case is your fire arms

Thank you so much, quick question, how can I do international travel with my firearm? And also the documentation that I need.
Does it work on Airsofts?
the rules may be different

not using tsa locks is asking to get your locks cut. plus, some hard cases have integral tsa locks
Well, she did say every time was different !
Wrong
It’s against the law to use tsa locks on the gun case !!
