I really enjoyed the boss fights in this game. I think my favorite was the drsgon fight right before Typhon. Clive, Cid, Jill and Torgalnvs a big dragon. Super fun.
The Benedicta fight was a great choice for the demo along with this song. Just the low drums leading into the chorus mixed with Benedicta's Garuda priming and Clive's movement as the player rushes through all of the different Eikon abilities while avoiding her attacks.
1:45 Always so satisfying when you stagger the boss at this exact moment. Kind of like the way all-out attacks in Persona 5 line up with "you'll never see it coming..." a surprising amount, it's almost like they planned it out that way.
Sleipnir: you will forgive me if my performance seems uninspired, it is just that i expected so much more from our chosen one... uh perhaps this'll... kindle your flame⚔️
I can't wait to get to each boss in this game just because of this song. On my surround sound it sounds AMAZING. It might be my favorite boss track in the Final Fantasy series thus far. This game truly is epic and I can't wait to finish it....but also trying no to rust it but it's HARD to put the controller down. Well done Square Enix!! Now for the next game.....make the world truly open world, keep the same style of combat, and epic music and I will be one happy person!!
I noticed that too, especially played at a faster speed. Tried watching FF9 boss battles with 16's music and FF16 boss battles with 9's and it's quite interesting and surprising what fits
For a series that’s known for having great boss themes, this might actually be the best one ever. They did a great job on the timings on this since the climax of the song always seems to come at the point where you’ve just staggered the boss and get to unleash on it. It’s so epic.
@@silverreaps6803No... It's not lol. It's a fixed soundtrack that has nothing to do with where the player is at during combat. This is apparent from the first boss fight, and especially so as you progress through the game.
I was listening to this without gameplay a few weeks ago and when that bass line from old games kicked in, nostalgia hit wasted over me. Hasn’t been done since 9 I believe so I’m glad Soken brought it back.
When 1:40 kicks in after you've staggered a huge boss and start unloading with your limit and eikon abilities...epic. Love this game, its a masterpiece!

Play it at 1.25x speed and it sounds like an old school FF battle theme at 1:04.
But 1x speed is still just as good :p

That motif from the FF1 battle theme, oof ❤ Thank you so much for uploading.
Yesss, same one in FF1-FF6 and FF9! It really kicks off right at 1:04! Thanks for the bangers, Barnabas!
