Yeah, basically I would consider "bad ending" any ending that has Finn killed. What makes this specific one the worst ending scenario is the fact that Daniel gets extremely mad at Sean for specific reasons and his attacks in the final scene are consciously purposeful, in which case Sean getting hurt (and subsequently losing his eye) seems to be a direct consequence of Daniel's anger; whereas in the other endings he "just" loses control of his power, and Sean getting hit is more an involuntary side-effect.
@@hisbrokenbutterfly in many (I think all) Finn death results, Daniel is not shot or injured though and Merrill gets owned more by Daniel, so that's debatable. I like the ending where I shoot Merrill, he shoots Finn, then Daniel owns his ass instead of him getting back up, even if I get thrown around by him a little. It isn't like I "did nothing" either. I agreed to the heist from the beginning (I got so pissed at Joe and Merrill for hurting my family- Finn & company & Daniel I was willing to do anything to get what they earned) and in turn, I saved both Finn and Cassidy (Cassidy never made it to Merrill's with that choice).
I loved daniel the firt and second episodes but 3 4 and 5 i hate him even if he doesnt kill cass SOPILER and you have to make him evil to get the ending were you both make it to mexico😠
Sure in episode 3 he was a bit annoying and bratty but at least for me he was a good boy in most of the game and if you go to bed with him in ep3 you do find out he doesn’t like being like that and wishes he wasn’t so angry all the time
I replayed the game and ep 3 is very miss understood. It will sound you strange but I can argue SEAN IS THE JERK, NOT DANIEL, if you replay you’ll see how Daniel is loyally following Sean in his wild chase of Puerto Lobos, Sean loves a lot the plantation, he is very happy there with new friends and even a new girlfriend, “feeling free” he repeats often, clearly he is neglecting Daniel; and you also see how in the same way Sean loves it, Daniel hates every bit of that place “is like to be in jail” he complains (in contrast with the freedom feeling of Sean), yet even when clearly Sean has enough money he (perhaps subconsciously) lingers there; he doesn’t care Daniel hates it, for him he is just being “grumpy and troublesome”, and more than other thing Daniel loves a lot Sean and feels abandoned and super jealous. MOST GAMERS DON’T SEE THINGS IN THIS WAY BECAUSE THE GAME SHOWS THINGS THROUGH SEAN’S EYES, and end with the simple answer “grrr Daniel stupid brat I hate him”.
@@neoandroid8586 EXACTLY YOU GOT IT: Sorry if i posted if wanted to jump on Sean’s throat he is an awesome brave teen. Both have lived ugly with a lot of suffering and deprivation in the past months both are just kids and suddenly they arrive to a place that Sean totally loves, is teen’s paradise, off course he loves his new friends and tries to linger to be there (ad as a gamer you see it and sides with him); the bad thing is that on contrary for Daniel, that place is horrible in the middle of nowhere with no other kids around, and more than other thing super jealous feeling abandoned by Sean that hangs with his friends all time…. So if you flip the coin and see things in Daniel’s view he has all the reason to be grumpy and cause trouble…. My point at the end is that things are not as simple as most gamers see “GRRGRRR STUPID BRAT he ruins it all…”

Where as those who are single children tend to think of Daniel as nuisance - of course this theory i have noticed probably only relates to the people I have spoken with and myself. "you won't hear about me ever again" that really foreshadows Finn's death, depending on your choice...
True although he does say that even if you choose to save him if you disagree with the plan but choose to save him
