Few more ideas:
Pacifying a pillager, and bringing one, with the effect "Hero of the Village", should make him a Guard, as long as he would be accepted, and have a house further away from the center of the village.
That might be a bit annoying, but the simplest would be to have him under the wing of a master villager -simply a villager at max level, in any job-.
Once this process is done (should last 3 in game day), he becomes a Guard, and can trade to you item from his pillager job (which he would share with his master), with their unique traits. He would also defend the city, in case of a raid or an attack, with a crossbow, which can be more practical, since snowgolem can only go so far. During the day, you would simply see him patrolling all around the city, and if you managed to have two, and build a barrack (simply have minimum two bed, and weapons in item frames for each bed), you would also see them at night, doing night shift. They would also ring the bell, at the start of a raid for all villager to hide, and once it's finished, ring the bell again to signal the end of it.
As for the pillager, raiding a village, would it be empty or full, should make them "owner" of the village. They would have a similar system to normal villager, with a more combat oriented trade. I can see a library transformed into an enchantement room. And probably many more, like an Alchemist, a Summoner, a Groom for horses and Ravagers. or even the Illusionist.
You obviously wouldn't be free to go in and out for simple trade, as you would need the effect Raid Hero to enter (thus, you'd have to raid another village). It can be a little annoying (finding a village, ransacking it, enter your village, buy stuff...), but you could also prove your worth by kidnapping a villager. Similarily to the Guard, kidnapping a villager would make him part of this new village after a few in game, this villager would become a simple farmer (if they were in this branch already), or a test subject for Alchemist to use. As farmer, considering pillager would move a lot, it could be right for them to trade more meat, and most importantly, making vegetable grow as they pillage other village.
You could have bigger pots, that would have 2 maximum dirt in, but movable, like a very small shulker box, from which you could grow crops. Their growth should probably stop, or decay, if they aren't cared properly with a watering can, new item.
As for test subject, I'd like to see them as abomination, similar to Ravager or Golems, serving as a slow, but very strong guard. Shouldn't be able to be cured by any way.
But bringing a villager shouldn't be the only way. You could also simply ride a Ravager to the chief, and he will you stay a bit for the day, letting you use his services for a higher price for each trade. That would only work in a pillager village, or on an outpost. During a raid, it should only anger them more.
Having them on horses or Ravagers would be quite cool, horses for normal pillager, a Ravager for the chief.
A Guard that happened to be a Groom, could bring horses to a village, helping Guard move faster on horses, or even help farmer with farms, with the adequate item. As long as you have horses to bring and a stable (5 block high, 6 block long, with a trap or a fence gate). Can also strenghten artificially your horses (train him to be at it's maximum (2 more on each), but those new traits don't follow when reproduced.)
Maybe pillager should have tent, making it a roaming village when they didn't find a New village to ransack to stay in for a long Time (50 in game days). Might be found around empty village (in which, they wouldn't be much), or a village (in which they would be a larger group), or simply having the Bad Omen effect when entering a village, would give a day to prepare (with them having heavier equipement), and would attack at night.
That was a pretty nice video, it gave me a bit to think there.

And the bastion like structure is just close to mines which holds villager prisoners and all of structure im saying is pillager themed designed they also have king maybe he had more defence armor than netherite armor and he had a elite guard that has an netherite armors i had this idea of pillager like hunters which had pillager themed wolf it will trace you(i like it more when its modded i dont want it to be permanent)the king can also summon this mechs i think its best when its just only 5 blocks tall they had blaze on their backs to use as power source(they were using flamethrowers and swords/axe) they also have an commander i think 10-15 blocks tall he had nether star as a core which btw is his weakpoint

Mod idea: nether creatures can raid overworld and settle dungeon there (new structures, mobs [like stider rider], items, boss etc.)
That could give destroyed netherportals more use if they would spawn in at these locations too.. I like that idea :)

This heavy workbench is the single most powerful item I've seen in a vanilla+ style mod.
Increasing attack speed by 1? Armour toughness by 1???
That's quite powerful.
And, if applied to some modded items, can be straight OP...
However, what does it do to bows and crossbows? These weapons need some love too.
Bro literally like netherite axes now do like 2.5 hearts (crit) guarantee and you have the attack speed of better than a sword. Thats literally making your sword slightly faster and do 1 extra heart. BRUHHHH
Although it would be interesting if it didnt buff swords and axes much, but made crossbows even more OP. Imagine the new pvp... Spam harming arrow + OP crossbow with like quick charge 4

Maybe there will be competing pillager outposts. Maybe the more villages are raided (by the player or actual pillagers) the more "defensive" the villagers are. Such as more Iron Golems, villages will start having walls, villagers fighting back when cornered (farmers with hoes, lumberjacks with axes, etc) and dedicated village guards and archers

I know this is an old video and all, but just right now I get this idea for any posible update:
Once you start the raid you will get the "Trail" effect which is a permanent effect that detects if the player finish the raid itself before giving him the Hero Of The Raid one, the raid itself works diferent, instead of being wave after wave of pilllager is just a small group of normal pillagers who spawn once it begin, and the bar could be chanced to a "reforceiments" bar, wich once filled golems, bounty hunters and warrior from other villages will come to the aid of the village to defend it from the atack (Working similar to the wave) once the last wave is cleared you have to clean the village and then you win.
The effect of Hero of The Raid also doesn't last forever, meaning you have to keep up with the raids in order to mantain it. Also, once you do a raid with Hero of The Raid it level up your current level, wich give you harder raids bur stronger reinforcments.
Also, and just as a way to show you are working for the big bad guys now when you have the HotR effect bounty hunters will sometimes spawn near your spawnpoint (About 150 blocks away)
(They won't spawn anywher else outside of reinforcment waves)

IDEA: Make a new raid mode, example: Recruit/colonial mode (pillagers will kill iron golem, then make him become in pillager's side and turn villagers into pillagers, so we can make a big pillagers military)

Get a Vanilla Tweaks resource pack! You can customize exactly which teaks you want on the site and it automatically assembles the pack. Along with a dark UI it can add so many more features such as texture randomization, in game brewing reference, highlight full grown crops, and more texture tweaks than you can shake a stick at.

@@FilledOfOJ The Wither in the Bedrock Edition deals more damage, explodes during second phase and spawns wither skeleton minions, has a dash attack that destroys any block in the way (except bedrock obv), and fires a blue skull (which is more powerful) after every 3 black skull it shoots. If you attempted to do the underground strategy you see at 9:14, the Wither will charge through you and all blocks in your general area will be destroyed, including the ones behind you. It will also explode upon death.

One idea:
Countering have soldier villagers with swords and iron armor who also protect villages, make raids harder so it's a challenge to actually get the effect and gains
Also having a different amount of pillagers follow you depending on your raid hero level could be really cool
The thing I like about pillagers is because they're the first mob to be a member of an actually coordinated army besides piglins

This is a great way for me to take out my frustration from moving villagers... on villagers
Imagine there were many villager tribes. For example, you have the normal villagers, the pillagers, and the illagers in woodland mansions.
Just like you can become a Hero of the Village, imagine you could work with one group more and rise through the ranks. Eventually, you could get into wars with the other tribes and stuff.

On the second hand slot, have a slot for placing the elytra and banners to make cape.

The Ravager Horn concept could be really cool in Vanilla Minecraft! Maybe it could also spawn higher level raids.
I've been a fan of the Illagers for 3 years, this will be amazing for the minecraft universe.

I've wanted endgame content that allows us to modify attributes for the last few updates and being able to choose which side you're on is much more fitting for a sandbox game that is all about enabling everyone their own play style so the combination of the two is just pure genius.
I do think that maybe you should make it so it also requires certain materials to upgrade certain attributes, maybe even adding new ones, and attack speed should probably only increase by 0.1 or 0.5 at most because doubting the axe's attack speed seems a bit too overpowered, but with a few tweaks I think this should be something in the vanilla.
This could work really well with the Guard Villagers mod.
I like the idea of in-game joinable factions. A cool idea would to have a faction that opposes the pillagers, like village knights?
