Maana ya methali uliyouliza ufafanuzi:
Akunyimae kunde anakupunguzia mashuzi. Kunde ni nafaka (legumes in English). Maana ya juu ya methali hio ni kuwa anayekataa kukupa kunde huwa amekusaidia kwani hutoshuta sana kama utakapozila. Maana ya ndani ni kuwa, mtu anapokunyima jambo, usione vibaya huenda jambo hilo halikuwa na kheri na wewe hivyo basi kule kukunyima anakuepusha na shari bila wewe kutambua 😊🙏

"Akunyimae kunde, anakupunguzia mashuzi" kwa maana ya juu; kunde ni mbegu zenye gesi sana, kwa hivyo, anayekunyima asipokugawanyia, anakuepusha na kukupunguzia kupiga mashuzi. Loooool!! Kwa maana ya ndani (sikumbuki kwa uhakika), lakini ni kama kusema; anayekunyima kitu ambacho hakina manufaa sana/kabisa, hajakupunguzia kitu katika maisha, bali anakuepusha na shida/balaa zinazotokamana na hicho kitu.
Speaking swahili is not tough for you alone sister! Taking a break... The methali is used as an encouragement to someone who feels sad about something (not particularly beneficial or not good for them) someone didn't share or give them or they didn't get from somewhere they were expecting. Eg, if you lose a friend who wasn't even a true friend or get denied a job that would have just been too stressful with low pay etc.

I remember this type of Kiswahili challenge from Zanzibar. It goes “kipi kikusikitishacho” what kind of thing that makes you sad? Nyingine inaenda hivi “kile kikuku kikwerekwe kiliacho kokoriko kwakokiko”. Kama umeishi Zanzibar utakutana na hii chalenge. Compromise = kukubaliana

Yaani kuna muda mwengine ukiomba kitu kwa mtu akakunyima yaani asikupe usikasilike huenda umepunguziwa Hadha balaa si kila kitu salama acha vingine vipite.

Tricky to most Kenyans because they have pedestalized the English language. I'm from TZ and can express myself fully in Swahili without inserting English words unless they are loanwords. I like Kenyan Swahili news anchors. They are the epitome of how Swahili language should be spoken in Kenya!
