Do you ever have to worry about dropping the chain when you do these 1x builds with old drivetrains?

Yeah I guess there's been times that I've dropped the chain on these type single speed conversions but I guess it's not been often enough that I really gave it any thought. Now that I am thinking about it, it may not be much of a problem for me because it's flat here and I'm probably riding in the center of the gear cluster with somewhat of a straight chainline. Would probably happen more often if I used the outer cogs more.
