Both methods have their advantages. But for straight up diamonds i suggest Noxus.

This pet+hanzo pet = do not need to deal with Nulgath boss. Best 3000 DC you could possibly spend.

Definitely Crag pet, you can farm Noxus faster and mandible faster too. also you get the nulgath collection 2 item sets too
