    I love this video bro and I can relate to that feeling that's hard to describe. It's like the whole point is to travel and experience new places, but then you fall in love with so many of the places you visit and have a longing to revisit or the thought crosses your mind to even settle for a while.

    • @JohnnyFD

      Exactly...it's a good problem to have as at least we know what makes us happy and that we have options. Either way, it's better than the traditional 9-5 life back home in one location. =)

    Hi Johny, it's great watching your videos! I have been a Nomand in my own country, Poland, since the beginning of April when I left London with the intention to join my fiancee in Sri Lanka. Thank you for sharing your experiences! It's nice to be able to share with someone the same feeling. I hope soon I will be able to put my feet on this beautiful Island! ☺

    That’s awesome! Love the communal style living u have set up. Sri Lanka is definitely on my bucket list to visit. It looks beautiful and I hear the food is amazing. Were you using your Apple AirPods for the audio? The audio came out nice and clear With no real background noise

      I'm liking this place so far as well! And yes, it was with the Apple Earpod. I'm glad the audio came out well. I think it was easy though as it's super quiet here so there isn't much background noise anyways.

      Johnny FD yeah I agree, but even when you were by the road the background noise didn’t over shadow your voice that bad it was still clear. Did you film on your phone or a camera?

  • @bocamax
    @bocamax 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    What a steal. I searched your videos and haven't seen one (at least titled) about the food in Sri Lanka. I've been to Bali, Chiang Mai, Kuala Lumpur, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Medellin, etc, etc, etc. How does the food compare to places like Thailand & Vietnam (taste, quality, safety, availability, etc)? Are there food stalls everywhere like Thailand?

    • @JohnnyFD
      @JohnnyFD  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sri Lanka is amazing in many ways, but their food scene isn't one of them. Rice and Curry is the staple meal, and it's okay, but not great. It's close to the Nepalese Dahl Bhat and nothing like Indian Curries. International food here is okay, but again, nothing to write home...or even write about. That's why I never mention it.
      The only thing I really liked eating here is the Chicken Biryani, and the Egg Hoppers, but i've literally had it 50 times now, and am missing Thai Food, or even Vietnamese food. No street stalls here at all.

    For the last couple years I've lived in bali and Thailand living for under 1000 a month. And I moved to New York city because I thought the virus would ravage like crazy in southeast asia so I left and went to new york.. turns out I was much better off staying in Asia lmao. I'm stuck in New York til the travel bans end and I'm going back to asia asap. I totally regret coming to new york... and coming back to americabecause I thought the virus would be horrible in southeast asia.. was alot worse here.. smh I'm paying around 1500 to 1700 in New York city area. Cant wait to be back in asia. Bro. Also the mindsets in america is so toxic.. cant stand being back here.

      I wonder if it's just because there is less competition there in Trincomalee. In the south and in arugam bay, there are 1,500 ($8) A/C hotels everywhere during this time.

    Thank you for sharing your new awesome place ' My most favorite was the four legged doggie ANGELS and the beautiful tree's and the colorful hammocks ..Life is about taking chances being confident and believing in ourselves and our dreams ' but sometimes in bad circumstances it is good to take a step back and put safety first and survival second..The times have changed and it is crazy as FUCK and DEADLY TOO .. It definitely would have been a wiser thing to be away from others ' When YOU had a place to do so , than go into a place where more people hangout ..These are definitely NOT the times to socialize and be normal again' Even if such life style is missed and desired ..As these times are NOT only about US ' it's about making sure innocent other lives DON'T get hurt by being selfish and arrogant.. I have said this before ' The worse is still to come and people behaving in a immature irresponsible way DOESN'T HELP BUT MAKE IT WORSE ..I guess the human beings who act's so ignorant and selfishly have to learn by themselves and see how it's going to END ..What the price they have to pay for the stupidity foolishness dumb ass ways they behaved being. ARROGANT AS FUCK WITH FULL OF IGNORANCE..
    If I was YOU ' Would I have stayed at the old place YOU moved from no matter how crazy I feel being alone .. word of advice to YOU ' Don't try to go away to a some other country...Sri Lanka is the safest place to be in at this moment and it is cheap too ..
    People have no idea how this situation is going to backfire in a worse way than the first time.. Lot of innocent people are going to get hurt and loose their lives because of the stupid foolish dumb ass fucked up choices what they made being selfish .. SAD
    STAY SAFE ..
