- Our last video documenting Nakano Broadway in the summer of 2023. This time, we take a long look at Mandarake New Special which might just be the largest collection of Godzilla merchandise in Tokyo.
Yay! I LOVE the Transformers shelves. So cool!
Thanks!
Love your channel man!
Glad to hear it!
Can't be a Kaiju Daddy video without Kaiju!!
Haha very true!
Appreciate all the videos.
Glad you like them!
🎉🎉love it🎉🎉
Thanks!
Another great walking tour!
Glad you enjoyed it
they had masterpeice sideswipe....i was looking all over for him in mandarake shibyu and akihabra...my goal was to hopefully find him while in japan...so sad
Oh. I actually just gave my son an extra that I had for him to open and play with. If I have another (so much in storage at the moment) I’ll add it to the giveaway pool.
Hi I would these like to ask or a curious question. Why are the prices so much more in Japan. I do know that inflation is hitting Japan very hard even compared to the United States is it that or is it the lack of tourist for years because of covid?
These what'd to ask. Because I know Tokyo has always been a little bit more expensive but now the prices are kinda high and it seems like everywhere
Inflation actually hasn’t been too much of a problem here to be honest. Which things specifically are more? Hot Toys are more which I can’t make sense about. American toys aren’t distributed here well so the price is up there but Chinese releases and Japanese releases are still good bargains here.
I'm just going to inform you that in 10 days I will be in tokyo. On Wednesday the 8th I will be in akihabara. I got to be checking out some stuff. Let me know if you have any free time. I know you're really busy.
What time?
@@KaijuDaddyJapan I'll be done with my guide by 130. That's the 8th. Wednesday.
By the way. I'm Brian
Now that I’m looking at my schedule, I’m completely booked. The 9th is much more Kaiju Daddy friendly. You busy then?
@@KaijuDaddyJapan that Thursday I have a photoshoot in Shibuya with Samurai armor studios. That is from 11:00 to 1:00 after that I am free
Transformers are always cool, can't wait to see what figure you are going to give away for christmas
Thanks for the support!
i didn't know about nakano broadway so when i was there 3 weeks ago...didn't go....
That’s too bad. Are you planning on another trip back any time soon?
I’m looking for Voltes V jumbo popy 1977
If online isn’t an option, Mandarake is your best bet. Hard to tell which one might have it as it could be in any of them across Tokyo. Maybe check their website as well.
Mp-10 convoy aka Optimus prime please
Giveaway?
Another banger dude, Thanks!!
Glad you enjoy it!
Some of those Godzilla pieces are insane
Very cool stuff!
I love transformers. Brings me back to a time in my childhood and they're also so damn cool. Definitely going to have to check out this shop
Can’t go wrong with Transformers!
@KaijuDaddyJapan I got a question have you seen in any of your travels the Yamato GX 86 or 57? Those are crazy
I own the GX57 and might still pick one 86. I see them in different shops from time to time but never for retail of course.
*pick up
Toho Godzilla Minus One is a must, Apple TV+ Monarch not so much, hard pass for me with Monarch. Also saw the ZOIDS in case from your vid, wonder if they have the 1/24th scale Deathpion, Megatopro and Gorem for sale?
Can’t wait for Minus One. Tickets will probably go on sale next week. I’ll watch Monarch with my kids. Next time I go, I’ll take a look and post here if I see any.
was there in April and will hitting up Japan again in June 2024 :) Love trawling my way through Nakano Broadway, but especially love hopping down the line to Koenji for all the vintage awesomeness at many places there :)
Funny you mention that. Koenji is the next area being covered.
