- Phase 4 for Season of Discovery will be the most important phase yet, as the player base for SoD is dropping by the day due to multiple different factors but will phase 4 save Season of Discovery? I hope so as I believe it has much more potential!
Please let me know your thoughts on the current state of Season of Discovery and how you think phase 4 will go!

Im not sure that will be fine.Every phase is worst than previos.Blizzard team is supper lazy and low iq at all so its 90% to come worst phase ever.
@@user-kx6jn2sz9b depends. ST is the best raid thus far. The rest of the content is definitely not up to phase 1. But honestly Gnomer was also better than BFD. Guess it just depends on your preferences.
yes lol. The streamer sardaco was praising P3 saying it's the most fun he's had in a while and that there was a lot to do - few weeks later he puts out a video saying its dying and hes bored and now MOP is the "most fun hes had playing wow" it's literally the same cycle every single time

Taking classic and minimizing it to a mini version of retails endless power creep was not what people wanted from classic+. We got a mini retail lol.

I want to start playing now, could someone please help me find out what races are top for warrior, paladin and enh shaman? All roles and pvp/pve. I cannot find anything online :(
SOD is an awesome concept I could see them taking things they've learned from SOD at the end of the season and implementing them into a new type of season, what that will be in 2025 we do not yet know.

One thing you didn't note is the class rune overhauls. At least coming from a warrior perspective, there hasn't been any dev engagement within the class discord when there's known to be some in at least the druid and paladin discord. While they shyed from the idea of rage normalisation, assumably solely from tweets, I'm concerned they will take some of the overhauls in a less desirable direction. As of now, SoD warriors are in a degraded WotLK state and I don't trust them enough to just not make a Cata version of the classes now that they've got the code available to them. After all, it's seasonal. Why would they not drop the effort to give out the bare minimum knowing players are going to subscribe nontheless?
I feel ya, I really hope they manage to do something with warrior, where they can actually make cool runes that are usable without making warriors exceedingly overpowered. It's kinda unfair warriors do get tarred with a brush just because they scale so well that they need to be dumbed down with boring runes even if the runes are useful

SOD is great for the dads that want to play the game they grew up with. It's what classic wow is for in my opinion.
How long should SoD last?
Just long enough to make all the players who need to be told how to enjoy the game, to go back to retail.
So after P4 will they continue to BWL and later content or is P4 the last phase ?
As far as we know we will get at minimum all of the normal classic raids so yes there will be further content past phase 4 :)
10m raids is the perfect number imo
I think if they ever do this again or make a wow 2 don’t do the phase thing , release it all in 1 go but have a PTR and make sure it’s ready first …
The phase system works. Just made the phases far too long honestly. 4- 6 weeks would probably be ideal

3 raids atleast at release, if not its dead. if they arent releasing p4 at the end of may, its gonne be dead on arrival
Are you exalted with wsg and ab? Are you at least revered with Argent dawn for the healing enchant recipe if you are an enchanter? Are you honored with hydraxian waterlords to be able to summon major domo and rag if they wont change it? Are you honored with thorium brother hood? Do you have enough materials to boost Thorium Bro rep up to revered or even exalted if you are the BS of the guild in day 1 if ragnaros requires FR gear to kill it? Do you have at least 2-3k gold? Do you have a proper guild to raid at p4? I didnt even mention about zandalar rep yet. Do you have already enough coins to get 250k honor in first week of p4? Got enough materials stocked for flasks? As you see there are many things to do as prep for p4 and this idle phase is a very good opportunity to be ready for next phase. I suggest everyone not to waste it.

i think even if p4 was good, people wouldnt come back. restarting the guild search is not worth the effort
Brd should have been a 50 dungeon. Incursions are great imo. You have a choice no one forced you to do them, but if you want to have alts, make a little bit of gold while leveling incursions are great.
Honestly I think Phase 4 is going to release late June early July.
Yeah to be honest, it could be in a quite a broad range, if cataclysm for some reason has even more major problems on it's launch in a few days, it could further push back a P4 for sod potentially? That being said I think the safest bet is probably to say around mid June
@@DeeceTV My guild and I all 45 of us are still playing we all came to an agreement to level an alt a class we never really played learn it and gear it up before phase 4 which thus far is a ton of fun and laughs I'm mainly a druid healer and decided to try a shaman so it keeps me on my feet thus far lol.

20 man raids need to stay, 10 man are just a bigger dungeon, it feels sad
I also personally prefer the larger raids, as they quite rightly, feel like raids. I do wish there was some sort of compromise for a large portion of people who do enjoy 10 man though to keep the game as healthy as possible
Agreed. The problem is all these people have social anxiety issues and need to learn how to socialize with people again. When you wall yourself out from the rest of the world that tends to be what happens. We are all in our 30s. It’s not that hard to socialize once you do it so often lmao

20 man raids made all my friends quit... if there is more of that crap it is gonna be the end of it
Most important for me is that blizz must make at last this pvp balance.This nonsens tries with mass DR 50% 30% is total bullshit.The right way is make individual DR for every class and spell/abiliti.Only with that way they can fix the broken classes and not affect the pve.Its so simple and fluid.After that they can start fix/change/buff all useless runes that no one use in any situation.Ofc 100% balance is imposible, but with this changes the game will be much more playable and fun.
I agree, there will never be complete balance but it can be so much better than it currently is, I'm just not sure they have any resources into SoD atm with cata launching which feels kinda bad as the balance right now desperately needs some love
Incursions need to be changed to dailies #1, or expand on lights hope dailies
Heroic dungeons should be a thing that incorporates Wild offering token but also needs to be the same currency you can from atleast one daily
All raid loot needs to be usable, nothing should be straight to DE or vendor.
They need to pick and stick to one raid size, even if we have 2 AQ 20s
Also class balance is a must, in this version of SOD they need to pick either pve or PvP to do so and say screw the other, sorry to all you pvpers but pve is more important

It seems like they were looking into the possibility for a similar version of titan rune dungeons, or heroic dungeons for sod at 60 but we're still in the dark on more info atm,

Honestly, I think the economy is probably too inflated to be fixed to the level of original classic but I think that’s expected since they had level caps and people would use the quests to make gold and ofcourse the incursions didn’t help at all
I wish Incursions could just get erased from the game. I know that's not happening, but I think they are that bad.

I disagree guys, how didnt we get more content in p3 than the other phases, we mathematically got more content, than the rest phases, way more things to farm, p1 and p2 in less than a week we had bis gear farmed and were waiting for raid drops, p1 almost no spells and only rfk "farmable"

We need Hyjal raid, Uldum raid, Un'goro Dinosaur raid, Furbolg raid in Azshara, A new Lava raid behind Bael'Gars gate in BRD. Also we getting Kara Crypts and a SM raid probably so poggers

This whole "big raids bad because I don't have 20 friends" is such a depressing narrative. The fact this narrative has already convinced Blizz to launch MC as a 20 man instead of 40 man infuriates me.

I'm playing the game from launch and I can't grasp how and why people are playing season of dog.
The developers are making everything on the fly without any solid idea or concept how the game will end up in the end.
They are "just testing stuff" because it's a "seasonal thing", and people are cool with it. Waste your time how you feel it's right for you, at the end of the day isn't that the point of gaming?
SOD is no classic+, it's just an intern's weekend project and it was the easiest thing they could think of without doing any efforts or having a solid budget.
Also, with the release of SOD Blizzard killed hardcore and classic era servers. Another big mistake.
To be honest, if you comment about sod like you are, you havent give it a chance at all, SOD is in my opinion the best out of all of wow since 2006 vanilla wow.
Runes are really givning it a nice touch in my opinion.

Edit: the runes are shit. They are mostly ripoff of more recent versions of the game. They are basically giving you wotlk/cata/wod mix calling it Classic+. :D The only reason they got the idea of "discovering runes" is because that was the laziest and most quick way to "introduce" new spells in the game.

There is very good and very bad things in Season of Discovery, like in wow classic, tbc, wotlk, cata etc... Each iteration of the game have good and bad in it

@@VaskoNikolaev Correction, the laziest way to add in new spell is just add them to the trainer. why spend effort making a mini quest line/new world npcs/modifications/items, when you can just add them to the trainers and call it a day? Hell, just making a skill book and having trainers sell them would be easier.

SoD made it in S1 where a million people enjoyed the game for what it was and moved on (like normal). Will 100 identical clickbait videos MAKE or BREAK 100 fledgling youtubers? How will the last season MAKE or BREAK a game, when the entire game has already been played out lmao?
