I currently have a samsung qe55s95batxxu - and I’m thinking of going for the qn800d just worried because I would be going from OLED to QLED Would this be a decent upgrade or would I be disappointed?
The current discs don't have enough storage for fitting 8k videos and there is no 8k movie discs like 4k discs. There are classic movies that are being re-released in 4k format. However, not all 4k discs are created equal since it depends on the original source material from the movies and mastering of the films if they are reliable transfers, upscale versions or original 4k versions.
I agree and thanks for the review. Absolutely go something like this tv if you can replace it 7yrs or so for nothing. That's the problem with tvs, they are not cars which have good resale value. I bought one tv a samsung curve u9500 tv 2014 and that time it was the best. It was doing everything until it started having connect box issues and that you can't find anywhere.. So for me, won't repeat same mistake and go all out for a flagship at that price now but honestly an excellent tv by samsung and they do huge discounts as well in 6/8 months time
That matte finish ruins the picture for me, I’ve only seen it in videos but outside of a Best Buy showroom with 50 lights the glossy panel looks so much better it’s wild why someone would prefer it
No way why does samsung make some of its tvs as qd oled and some as wd oled without clear differentiation? Cant we sue them ? And that anti reflective panel, cant i have it as an option? I want the tv as glossy as possible in dark room
What I really want is the S 90 D- but only if it has the third generation Samsung display QD OLED panel. The second generation like within the S 90 C it’s just not going to be as good or as bright. The problem is Samsung electronics is not telling us what panel they are putting in these TVs. Some people have mentioned confusion over whether the TV is even using QD OLED or WOLED- this is actually not unclear or confusing: It is simple : any sizes other than 55, 64, and 77” will be W-OLED- this is because Samsung display does not make QD OLED panels in the smother sizes (43”, 85” etc). So that is easy.. What is *NOT* easy, is figuring out in the 55, 65, and 77” models, which generation of QD-OLED you will be getting! And Samsung should be forced by our government to tell us what is in the TV. It’s like buying food where the company selling is refusing to list the ingredients!! This needs to be illegal!
I'm good after dealing with drop outs from the S95C and the the s95b was hell , I will stick with Panasonic z95A and Sony, I have the Panasonic MLA MZ2000 doesn't dim down when I am watching hockey like the s95c , it dim down so.mich it was un watchable.
The QD OLED is the best TV in the line up, the 8k is an overpriced gimmick that is not even future proof because its not mastered for 4,000 nits content.
How often do you upgrade your TV?
Every week, given how frequently there are new models 😂
I'm a normal person so once every 10-20 years

I wish people would stop saying, "crispy" for tv's. The picture on the tv is "crisp," not "crispy."
Why even bother wirh lcd when you can get a qd oled
Bring me that S95D with that QD-OLED.
Thanks for the video, it had good info and was well put together.

Oled has best picture but burn in is real. Never again!
OLED looks great but has major drawbacks like peak brightness and burn in. They have adopted ways to mitigate burn in but it will never truly go away

So you tested most of samsungs new TVs
Most people will be getting the 4K TV, but you spent all your time on the 8k
He didn't "test" anything though. He basically read off a features list and talked about his viewing experience. Misleading title
Yo Kevin😊
now if they would make a 144hz THE FRAME uh uhhhhh how about THE PC MONITOR??? get with it samsung
I have the LG C3 I can say this great tv but could be brighter s90c is brighter and slightly better
