The answer to this we all can see in this new reunion version of the song, Matt is just a backup musician here. Although I like Matt Bianco he's a good singer, Basia is very talented and at least one class above him. Even in the mid 80's when they played together it was obvious Basia did the most work and shouldn't be a background singer for Matt, if anything the other way around. Basia making a worldwide career soon after is s testent to that, I still like mt Bianco, he's really nice singer as well, still would go on his concert alone.
