I believe Zamasu is a great villain in concept. A godly being so overwhelmed with perfection he is willing to become an ugly hypocritically using the power of the beings he hates. Although I like this idea the problem is he is in the wrong series. With a series like Dragon Ball it will acknowledge big philosophical ideas but fail to fully expand on them.
Another issue is that he feels like he showed up too early. His plan makes no sense in hindsight with mortals like Jiren around. He would have easily been targeted by Zanasu for body swapping over Goku.
If you think about it it’s almost hypocritical on Zamasu’s part concerning the fact that he really hated morals and yet he try to be a god of destruction in mortal form so to speak plus he really technically wasn’t promoted to full status of a supreme Kai by his own elder. And I know the old saying goes that “if you want something done right you do it yourself.”, but in this case I don’t see how the two Zamasu’s could actually work together when their own egos will get in the way of their own goals, which nearly was the case when the two nearly lost to Goku and Vegeta before doing the fusion on themselves which should have lasted one hour just like them since technically he combined it with a mortal body but again writers don’t remember their own plot to their own stories.
@@SaiyanScholar The hypocrisy was the point I think. He was becoming unhinged. Despite his contempt for mortals and insistence they don't matter, the whole reason he went down that path was because he became *obsessed* with a *single* mortal. Goku to Frieza: "You can destroy planets, but you can't kill one man?" Vegito to Zamasu: "You think your body is the ultimate symbol, a weapon of your righteous rage, but it can't even keep up with ME, can it?" Same scenario really.
People call Zamasu a hypocrite while that is the point behind his character. In the anime it's more or less teased early on when Gowasu tells Zamasu, that despite them being gods, they are not perfect. Zamasu thinks differently yet performs the same acts he despises at mortals, getting controlled by his emotions and sense of justice. It is portayed throughout the arc, Goku, Vegeta and Trunks calling him out on it yet him justifying that as a god, it is his right, proving Gowasu's point. I believe Zamasu to be the best Dragon Ball villain in the sense of sympathy, as he does have a point in his views and is not straight up evil, ignores however what makes himself flawed and thinks the end justifies the means. He is more complex than any other villain and that I can appreciate.
But Zamasu hated mortals, I don't know why did he use the mortal body to kill mortals. Would you use someone's... I don't know... technology that you hate and then use the same technology from the person you hate to destroy others? Couldn't he did it by himself?
@gabiny9235 I think this comes up in the anime and zamasu says that because he is in Goku's body, it is infused with an immortal, making it okay to him.
According to him, that is exactly why he chose a mortals body, he will always have that imperfect mark of sin as a reminder of how bad mortals are, or something dumb like that
Okay before watching this… I have recommended a similar topic several times before on several channels. Glad this is the first one I saw being done cause it by someone who I think does a great job at using math and logic to explain levels in strength in this series. That said, I haven’t watched the full video yet. I’m gonna leave a comment before doing so, then leave an edit after watching. 1. Ginyu didn’t know KaioKen nor what it was (not even sure if he knows it exists). So when he swaps he probably assumed he’d have near Goku’s power WITH KaioKen. 2. Goku has maxed out his body (or close). He is able reach his level of power because of his balance of ki and spirit but he’s a low class Saiyan in a low class Saiyan body. So, Ginyu will not gain the buffs Goku’s state of mind gives him. 3. Ginyu is likely better than average at maxing out the potential of any given body as seen when he swaps with Tagoma and is stronger. So we know Ginyu has better than average ki control which checks out given his positioning Freeza’s army. 4. Zamasu is a god born and raised to use Ki. He should have much better Ki control than any mortal. To such a degree that it would be an insult to the gods themselves if a mortal was near the level of the gods. Buuuut Zamasu’s body is weak in comparison to Goku’s. He has also had a year with Goku’s body. Ginyu had a few hours if even that long. So, seems to me like it’s both Zamasu having amazing Ki control and a full year. Also Tagoma sucks
I’ve always felt like ginyu (and In some part the ginyu force as a whole) is a thematic test of skill. knowing enough about the hacks and ki control to to put the heroes on their toes but still on a more superficial scale
Perhaps it is because of the hilarious production quality of the show. Look at the very first shot in your video. Goku Black looks so stiff. Like it is a drawing by a young child.
Lol Maybe Bro can make a video on the "grades of ssj3 the max potential" Since you like the form could you maybe explain why in the game he has red lines or maybe it is a sayain tail thing because they are tryna to dive deeper into there sayain power and by having the tail it accesses the full power of their inner ape within love your vids and the ssj3 content.
Goku black is easily the worst villain in super. People only like him because he’s cool as fuck. But he is basically invincible in the anime, doesn’t matter how much he got hurt he magically powered up and the damage was gone. Easily the biggest plot armor I have seen
Is it safe to assume that zamazu is a hybrid saiyan also or quarter saiyan? If so then doesn’t that mean he also has the capacity to achieve beast or is that sololy gohans form?
@SageOfLimitlessHands This guy zamasu who lost to goku stole his body and with the help of the time ring look how much trouble he caused goku and the gang and after turning into infinite zamasu still killed everyone that trunks was trying to protect and on top of that zeno had to erase trunks timeline just to stop this guy dont forget he also indirectly killed all gods of destruction . So yeah even a weak god like a ki is dangerous.
@SageOfLimitlessHands ofcourse it also shows how strong goku is and it shows the tools the kai have access to that makes them dangerous and goku body was one of those tools along with time rings and super dragon ball.
one thing i will say is don’t you think maybe goku in zamasu body would be stronger than zamasu in gokus body base form when he killed him chi chi and goten
Didn't the incident catch Goku by surprise? He had no clue what the hell was going on, let alone time to figure out how to use this weird new body. Meanwhile his OWN body suddenly shows up (adding more confusion) and blows them all away.
i cant see there being a ssj2 rose due to the fact rose was blacks own version of ssb and ssb doesent have a 2nd or 3rd level... wouldve been cool but i dont see goku or vegeta doing anything new w ssb anytime soon or maybe at all
He kills Gohan, Krillin and Vegeta. Frieza wins. He figures out he can't use the dragonballs, manages to track down the last Namekian survivors, and one of two things happens: a) he is unable to torture the password out of them, and renders them extinct, losing his chance for immortality, or, b) he successfully makes a deal with them to summon Porunga to give him immortality (as Dende was about to do for Vegeta) in exchange for their lives, then he reneges on the deal and kills them. If Frieza keeps his temperament in check, he wins the short AND long term. Long live Lord Frieza. And by long, I mean for eternity.
Zamasu arc was my 2nd favourite arc in DB history, after The Tournament Of Power. Me and my best friend watched all of Z since the 90's. Neither of us was EVER glued to a Z arc the way we were glued to the Zamasu arc. We literally spoke about every episode for a week, and every 7 day wait for the next episode felt like months. We lost our minds when Trunks unlocked SS rage and threatened to KILL Black at the end of an episode. Zamasu was easily the most interesting arc for sure
I think Zamasu is a terrible villian. Hating mortals but using them to achieve his goal is so backwards that the logic falls apart. Gokue Black should have been a Goku who was just evil, not possessed by Zamasu and to go by Goku Black was even dumber becaus ehe isnt Goku.

Please it's a pointless story ark overall in the anime. Trunks' new form meant nothing it DID NOT defeat the big bad. Goku and Vegeta were only there, because Trunks couldn't defeat Zamasu ON HIS OWN. At least in the manga Goku showed off Mastered Super Saiyan Blue. It was only to show more Time Travelling shenanigans. "Oh... There are time rings." "Bulma can develop fuel for the Time Machine. Sweet, we travel to the future and battle this Kai In-Training." He would've been more compelling if he HAD NOT HIJACKED GOKU'S BODY OR HAD AN ULTINATE VERSION OF HIM SELF BECOME IMMORTAL. Ewww, disgusting that was just a call back to old Vegeta and Frieza. Where it could mean something to mortals. Did Zamasu in Goku's body become immortal NO. Instead the heroes had to rely on a macguffin and Zeno to the villian. It also showed how the Gods themselves are inept of protecting themselves without interference from mortals. Go on hate me, tell me I'm wrong, that I don't know Dragon Ball. The only argument you guys have left is. It's just a story
