16:15 It's not exactly a huge jump for him to figure out Luka knows. When he akumatizes people (or tries to), he forms a sort of connection with them, so while Luka was resisting he managed to sort of sense he knew through that connection. Luckily Luka broke the guitar and broke the connection before Monarch could look deeper in his mind and actually find out what he knows.
Great reaction as always! I really love this episode. My mom also thinks it's funny and she doesn't like Miraculous. I am so glad they did something with Luka knowing Ladybug and Chat Noir's identities. I just wish he didn't leave the show. 😭
Luka went to Brazil. You can see that in the photos at the end of the episode, as there's one that shows a placed called Pico da Neblina, located at the Brazilian state of Amazonas.
I watched this episode already on TH-cam a month ago but it wasn't in English but it did have English subtitles so I'm glad that you have the English version.
It's nice seeing you reacting to Miraculous again. This season's been a ride, so I'll look forward to your reaction to the rest of the season. Episode 14 is already out in English so you can react to that whenever. You can take your time with the rest of the season because episode 15 wont be out in English until about mid-June (cant remember the date right now sorry). I hope life's treating you well now 😸
Luka has become a liability, and he knows it, so he's gone. But there's something worth considering: he's actually Arnold Lukanegger... he'll be back! Joking aside, he is too significant to be sent away permanently. It surely cannot be a case of if he'll return; it's bound to be 'when' and 'to what end.' We know from "Lies" that Jagged Stone lies about his age. Even if Penny knows how old he really is, age ain't nothin' but a number, especially in the rock world. Jerry Lee Lewis, Marilyn Manson ... they're just two examples of many who've had much younger partners. It may be unsavoury to our palates, but it's a case of Miraculous mirroring real life with high fidelity. Life hack #1 - a contract is like a gun, and by signing it you effectively put the bullets in. Ergo, read before signing! It's also worth noting that a contract doesn't have to be in writing and that destroying physical copies doesn't void the agreement made - that can only be done if all parties consent, and if Bob Roth wouldn't consent, it wouldn't matter if Kitty Section's members ripped up all their copies; they'd have to get solicitors onto him...
The thing that bothered by about this episode though, as much as I thought it was uncharacteristically stupid of Luka and the others to sign a contract without reading it, that part doesn't even matter because they are all children. As in, I'm not calling them childish or immature, I'm sayint they are literally children, underage, minors, in terms of law. And when minors attempt to sign contracts, well, it's not exactly legally binding. I googled it, so I'll let the info I copy paste explain it better than I can in my own words. "In general, minors are considered not to have the legal capacity to enter into the contract, which is why contracts involving minors can be voided. Only the minor, however, has the right to void the contract. The other party does not have this ability." "Minors don't have the capacity to enter into contracts. Statutes and court rulings offer the option to exit contracts to minors, at their own discretion. The other party entering into a contract with a minor does not have the right to void a contract. Only the minor has the discretion to void a contract on this basis." "Minors under the age of 18 are not legally capable under French law. They must be represented by their legal representatives (usually their parents) when exercising their rights. Minors must be involved in all decisions that affect and are of relevance to them, depending on their age and level of judgment." Basically all this means that even if Luka didn't rip the contract, even if Bob didn't say he had copies, none of that matters because the children are allowed to just void the contract if they want to, if I understood the info correctly.
THAT IS VERY TRUE! You usually can't sign anything without your parent's consent. So It wouldn't matter if they signed, its not legal. Yet looks like the writers had no other story or idea in mind to get Luka to cave or be so upset to get akumatized.
@@HungaryHarmony20 The rules are tricky, because minors do sign contracts if they get a job, like if you get a job at 16. I didn't get a job before 18 so I don't know whether they have to get parents to sign if they get a job under 18. But from what I can find by looking it up, it seems almost like there's not much point having a minor sign a contract, since they can't really be held to it anyway, and they can choose to void at any time. I guess when it's a minor they still do the contract for the employee's safety/peace of mind or whatever, because employment contacts not only say what responsibilities the employee has, but also says what responsibilities the workplace has towards the employee. As an example, someone I know is currently going through issues at their workplace where they're not getting enough shifts, and I pointed out that it's actually in their contract that they're supposed to be given a certain amount of hours per week, so if they check the roster and see they're not on it at all for a whole week (which has been happening,) well, that's breach of contract and I've been encouraging to report it. Sorry for the rambling, how this stuff works is kinda interesting to me. Bottom line, I wish the show had looked more into it instead of doing the really basic plot of someone signing a contract without reading it, because he's a child so it's not as simple as just that.
25:02 It's curious; in the English dub I've seen, the captions for Bob Roth ("Ross" in other languages) read that he will make their lives "hell", but what he actually SAYS is, "a living nightmare"; whereas here, I see, he actually SAYS "hell". I wonder where the difference cropped up...
Love your reactions, you actually are my favorite Miaculous reactor and the first person I think of when wanting to see reactions to favorite episodes 🐞 🐈⬛ ❤ Are you getting these on TV right when they come out? I just recently saw episodes added to Disney+, but they only go up to episode 14 and I see suggested video that you watched episode 18. Netflix only has seasons 1, 2, and 3. Also just wanted to mention, Bob was wet when he came back. He wasn’t actually dripping, but there was a shine to the color of his clothes from getting soaked. And Rose’s song was, “With all my heart I love Juleka….” *I get excited over them explicitly saying it*, but then it continues to list the rest of her friends and also say everyone…
But we still will have a problem, Imagine if Monarch Akumatizes Alya and somehow Monarch finds out Alya knows the identity of Ladybug and that leads to Ladybug reveal also who is CatNoir behind the mask that would really be the end of the world
We might see Luka in season 6 though cause Mari might text him that Monarch has been defeated and Ik the new hawkmoth is going to be Lila in season 6 but Mari might not know that she has the butterfly miraculous so she might think it’s safe for him to come back. Plus Lila won’t know that Luka knows the identities of ladybug and chat noir.
I just loved the line going from "My guitar is my only family" to "My family will be my only guitar" it felt both poetic and just pure nice
Rose was singing. With all my heart I love Juleka! Luka, Mylene, Marinette, Ivan, and Alya. And everyone and all my friends.

He left until things calmed down. Same with Alix.

Also I didn't know you had a hearing disorder.
Luka really is everyone therapist in this episode lol
And then again penny like jagged kinda did show before back then tho in troublemaker ep in s2

Should be noted that penny and jaggeds relationship has been a hinted thing since season 2 ep 16trouble maker. This isn’t a new development
Oh I know, I saw the hints too, but I figured it was a fan crush or something. Nothing really serious. Until this episode.
I know I'm a day late but when I saw u posted this reaction I was so happy that I started fighting the air shouting let's goo she posted 😂😂

Some people just can't change or at least change in a good way. So if the situation is absolutely a lost cause then let it go.

I'm really sad that my favorite character has to go, but that's the way it has to be
Why is the premiere time 12 PM for me? I'm in Middle-West Europe right now.
Honestly how did Bob Roth ever have a kid with someone

Adrien and Luka, boys ❤❤❤
Since you didn't catch it, Luka and Jagged are going to Brazil!
Oh I know they are there. 😎
