Luka learned the hard way that although anyone can change, not everyone wants to, and although Jagged was willing to sacrifice his life of fame and fortune in order to dedicate himself to being a better father, Bob was not interested in making similar sacrifices to be a better person, and s ad to say, Luka’s willingness to let go of complicated pasts and give others a chance, marked his downfall.
Considering he was the holder for the miraculous of second chance, it is thematic.
I laughed my ass off seeing Anarka throw Bob off the boat over and over and over again. 😂😂

I rewatched this episode this past Saturday, and I immediately thought of Zamber's reaction. Luka's proven countless times that he does not deserve any harm to befall upon him AT ALL!
On one hand, I respect his maturity to keep his friends safe, especially for Adrien and Marinette's sake. But, come on, man... he's one of the best characters... 😭

It's a pity that the writers didn't add a separate scene for Adrian and Luke, because the scenes of the interaction of these two beautiful guys are the most adorable thing in the world. 🥺❤(But of course Adrian will always be my favorite boy, Adrien❤>>>)

This episode is a great example why we all need a Luca in our lives and I hope they bring him back
I'm just so glad that Luka can finally have some time to work on himself. The beginning of this episode had me so concerned for his mental well-being (because not only are his EX GIRLFRIEND and HER CURRENT BOYFRIEND coming to him for RELATIONSHIP ADVICE, but his DAD AND THE WOMAN WHO'S IN LOVE WITH HIM (not his mom btw) are too!!!) and I do think he needs some time to get away from all this. He can finally build a relationship with his idol-turned-long-lost-father and focus on his craft, his dreams, and his OWN damn emotions. Yes I am very sad to see him go. But I hope that when he gets back he's had some time to grow for his own sake. And maybe then he can have an arc of his own. He deserves it.

He's nothing more than just a male mary-sue perfect boyfriend figure for marinette as replacement over adrien (and for some viewers ofc😶). It's not surprising he reject the akuma and trust marinette over her decision, cuz he build THAT way, to be perfect, so there's no need development from his cuz he already is. To be type of character to choose people over himself, to be type of character for viewer to ask "why there's no a boy like luka in real life?" Cuz that only exis in fictional world.😂
1. Along with referring to the concept of the Horse Miraculous, "Migration" also clearly refers to Luka MIGRATING away from Paris because he'd be a danger to everyone he loves.
2. If this really is the end of Luka, I think he's had a good run. He fell in love, broke up, understood why his girlfriend broke up with him and learned the importance of some secrets being kept, helped other characters become better and finally in this episode learned that just because everyone CAN change doesn't mean that everyone WANTS to change (*cough* Chloe *cough*).
3. Yeah, I knew you wouldn't like this episode.
Oh my gosh, I thought it was so sweet how you talked about your husband and how you explained how you see him in Luka!! While I do love Luka, I've had trouble connecting with his character in the past, but honestly you talking about your connection to real life helps me connect a bit more to him, and makes him leaving more sad to me too now!😥

While I think the writers really should've thought through what they wanted to do with Luka before they decided to get rid of him for convenience of not advancing the story too quickly, I do commend them for sending him off really well (at least IMO). I was genuinely really upset that we would not be seeing anymore of him (Spoilers)
until the finale.

Yeah that's pretty much how I feel about it; I felt that this was a really cool and fun way to send Luka off, which is something I expected, I just wish they did more with him knowing before this point. I can deal with it, it just would have been cool to see

OH MY GOD I ALSO WANT LUKA TO BE A GUARDIAN! I have an (actually kinda sad) theory about this. Luka has been built up as this level headed, good-hearted, and intuitive guy who's a great judge of character. So he'd be perfectly suited to the role of Guardian. We also know that the Guardians over in Tibet don't agree with how Ladybug has been handling her responsibilities. So what if they force her into giving up her title of Guardian to Luka? She'd loose all her memories starting with the first day of school -- the first day she met Adrien and Alya. She'd also forget all the people she's met since then, like Luka, Kagami, and Zoe. Of course it would be awful for Adrien. A lot of juicy angst -- especially assuming this happens after the fall of Monarch. They'd have to start over from square one, but I'm sure they'd find some way to restore her memories. It'd be a great arc for a season. And Luka is just too perfect a candidate for the role of Guardian.
(I'm thinking the reason why Ladybug would have to give up being Guardian is because, on top of loosing the Miraculous, she and Chat will probably find out each others' identities soon. So the Guardians conclude that they're too compromised, and LB/CN argue that Paris still needs them and there's no one better suited to their roles that themselves. So instead of forcing them both to give up their Miraculouses, they negotiate down to Ladybug relinquishing her role of Guardian. That way at least she doesn't know Chat's identity anymore and can re-learn how to be Ladybug without being in charge. Sounds a little convoluted and crazy, but that's exactly the type of thing Miraculous likes to do.)
And was on that day, when this episode aired...That a piece of the hearts of every Luka stan shattered beyond repair

After this episode, I kinda wonder how Luka and Adrien's next interaction will go... I know the former left for now because of all this, but I'm pretty confident he'll return for the next season - maybe even in this finale if we're lucky...
Anyway, he admitted knowing Cat Noir's identity right in front of Adrien, so I am very curious to see what happens the next time they talk lol

I'm sure that it's true. Because leaks were released when Miraculous got hacked or something. By leaks, it was storyboard and the character models just standing still.

I don't think Luka was uncomfortable playing the therapist for all those people, and it didn't seem like he was under any pressure knowing Ladybug and Cat Noir's identities either. Dude seems like he's got it together pretty well and likes helping people talk through their problems. He's like, the goodest of boys.
On a side-note, any French law experts know how legitimate that contract even was? I'm assuming Luka's mum counter-signed it, but would that count for the other kids that aren't hers? And wouldn't they still need a lawyer to act on their behalf?
They are all minors. Those contracts are worth nothing without their legal guardian approval. That's why producer go after the parents first. Easier to get gullible parent into serious legal binding contract that screw there kids life.
I believe the reason the writers made luka know their identities is to emphasize something about the power of the snake.
When you posess the power to go back in time but still remember, you have to get used to knowing things you shouldn't know and be able to protect that information

Yep. Knew you were going to be devastated with this one. Seems like Luka can't stop suffering lately. You can tell everyone loves him so much. Even adults wanted his advice 😢 But kudos for the boy for having such humongous willpower.
I always loved Luka but since I read that his personality type is the same as mine (INFJ), I’ve grown to love him even more 🥰 I also related to him so much in this episode..he is out there reading all his friends, happy to give them advice. I do the same thing with my friends, often knowing what they are meaning to say without them saying it. 😁
It’s easy to love him but adding these nuances to his character makes me so happy 😁

I can't wait for your reaction of "Derision". That one puts together the meaning behind all of Marinette's weird behavior. Also... today, we got the English dub of "Intuition" in Europe and in the next few days we will get "Adoration". And since we already have "Protection" and "Emotion" in English, you will be free to watch up until "Emotion", which is the most perfect episode in terms of animation and is so damn good in terms of story.
derision is a pathetic attempt by the screenwriters to justify the aversive behavior and inadequacy of Marinette, because Thomas Astryuk understood that season 5 was going on and Marinette was being accepted as a stalker and a mentally unhealthy girl, and what happens in series 14 does not make much sense to justify her actions for 4 seasons, which were in no way related to buling at school. This episode of justification looks very pathetic and unnatural, but it is saved by the dialogue and words of Adrian, which he says to Marinette.
i believe she’s watching according to Disney channel US’s release, which means she won’t be able to watch those all just yet, as Intuition won’t be out here till 17 June.

I mean, Monarch could go everywhere, but it is not useful if he doesn't know where he is, so as far as he does not get a hand on the pictures Luka is (I'm guessing) sending to his friends and family, then he should be fine

There's no one he can really talk to about knowing their identities except Alya. She knows Marinette is Ladybug! I mean, I guess it's good he doesn't know she knows because the less people who know the better, but imagine if, before he left, Marinette told him Alya knew and the two could just talk to each other sometimes about this pressure and stress.

In the season finale LUKA COMES BACK. He learns a thing or two that will really surprise u. (Don’t worry this is confirmed) ALSO jagged stone and penny also come and we see some of the superheroes from OTHER countries. And 2 more ppl also come and help, both who left at the beginning of season 5.
In short, the season finale is CRAZY. 10 times more than ANY OTHER.
P.S. ladybug becomes ultra-powerful

WE'RE SO CLOSE TO THE END OF THE SEASON
interestingly, some TV providers had Bob say ‘living nightmare’ instead of ‘hell’. but either way, the captions on DisneyNOW say ‘hell’. i just wonder what will happen when the ep comes to Disney+, and also what will happen in other countries.
I am waiting all of the other season 5 episodes to come on Disney + but Disney + only has nine episodes for season 5 and I already watched all 9 of them.
Do you want to know where Luka is, Zamber? You can see it in the pictures that appeared at the end of the episode. There is one picture in particular that is from a place called Pico da Neblina that is located at the Brazilian state of Amazonas. And the other pictures appear to feature some environments that are common on Brazil.

Luka was like a good love and relationship therapist in this episode I like Luka I watched this episode on TH-cam last week on a reaction and I'm going to miss Luka I do want him to come back for Kitty Session and I want Luka to have a new girlfriend Kagami probably. I don't want Luka to be back as a robot because his return won't be the same if that happened.

I like to look at the silver lining. Luka isn't alone he has Jagged and Penny with him, and while it's sad he has to stay away from Paris, they are on an adventure of their own and get to see the world.
And there's still hope for their return too. While we know there will be another Hawkmoth thanks to time tagger, we don't know how this person comes to aquire nuru's miraculous. There may be no reason for Gabriel to speak up about Luka to him/her.
I honestly can't wait for her reaction to episodes 20-22!!! And finally meet Cerise.... 😈
The part where rose turned into a record and confessed her love to julika made my heart cry because I have been shipping them since season one and now there going to make it official just this episode made mad because of Bob but also made me cry can't wait to see the episode where julika turns into reflecta again no more hints byeee. Luca is one the best characters to ever happen to miraculous ladybug he is always there for his friends and family even when he's akumatized he still makes sure his friends and family are safe that's why he's been akumatized when he was silencer he made sure Bob would pay for coping off kitty section sorry if I spell it wrong but seriously Luca was and still is the best side character because no matter all the pain he experienced and lies he went through he still is the beacon of hope he is now and I watched this show since it was released so I saw all the pain he suffered but I'm happy he is still as cool as a snake I hope we see him again Luca fans for life.

Glad to have found this and nice reaction! I stopped watching MLB because some of the writing so I haven’t watched much of season 4 and 5 other than the ending parts of those season but recently saw a short on this which peaked my interest though it is hard finding where to watch the series.

This episode and the next one finally released on Disneyplus, and I just watched them. I saw this one and my first thought was: "Well, good thing Alya is still in the show or Zamber wouldn't have a reason to watch it anymore." lol
I loved the reveal of him knowing their identities and the way it showed Marinette's fear return, worrying that she somehow messed up again and that's how he learned. The fact that Luka immediately reassured her without a second thought was wonderful.
Also, people can say whatever they want, but Rose's song absolutely made sure her love for Juleka was separated from her love for the others in the friend group and I will stand and die on this hill!
