This is probably nitpicky, but I’m 26 years old. I don’t want to be called a “girl” in a business setting. When I’m out with my friends and they say like, “these are my girls,” that feels a lot different than being a business “owner” (🙄) and having my colleagues call me a girl, rather than a woman.
I don't even own a business and feel the same way. I'm married with a mortgage and have been out of college working for a few years now. I'm a woman. Not a girl.

When she talks about Boba Tea. The people at the boba place aren't marking up the drinks 500%. If boba was sold via MLM it would cost like 25$ a drink.
And when she said “oh I got this other thing at target … it was $3!” Like., Yeah, people like hearing about deals and legit opinions that don’t involve someone making money from sharing about it. It’s okay to just not think about making money off your friends for a min. Plus showing a $3 item from a store is not the same as promoting a Conditioner that’s only 6oz and costs $50 bc your entire upline needs a cut of it. I did Monat and trust me the whole “everyone washes their hair” point is the dumbest shit I’ve ever heard. Every weekend flashsale you have to send messages to people trying to get a sale. But when you finally find someone who is really interested- half the time they end up saying nevermind when you send the price, even if you tell them how good of a ‘value” it is. I’m ranting.. but it’s all such nonsense it drives me nuts when I see it now especially bc can’t believe I was a part of it for several months!
Listen, my hair stylist and I got on the topic of MLMs and I recommended your channel to her. She brought up Monat and was like “no amount of money would have me putting that $h!t in a clients hair.” 🤣👏🏻

With all the focus MLM Huns have on “supporting small businesses”, it’s very telling that the boba place the person was talking about in the first video is probably a small business, and those women stuck their nose in the air and said they should have been paid to talk about it in a supportive way. Wow, really supportive of small businesses...🙄
They say they are “business owners” but have no clue about legitimate business. Just like Cece was explaining at around 7:42 minutes that you can build a relationship with the small business but some people would rather just take, take, take and act ignorant.

I've done it *once* but only because the company donates a percentage to a nonprofit, and it was more talking about the nonprofit than the actual product lol.

As someone who was in Monat- we would let our team know when we posted questions/polls… on stories so that other people on our team could comment on that. So if someone posted on Instagram stories like “ask me anything!” Other people on the team would ask questions on the story for the individual to answer. It’s so we can get the specific questions and answers we want from the story- especially if no one else asks anything.
