Hey, I'm building a table upstairs in a shed and I was conscious of the weight, was your floor wooden?

Just noticied it's not full size, mine is so I'm worried about it

Hey, my floor is concrete and steel and used to be a hay/seed loft which probably had to carry loads of 10 tons or more. Not to say I haven’t thought about the weight of the table and people at times.. but my advice would be to consult a structural engineer first. They will give you peace of mind! In the end I’m going to move my table to a different spot in the barns which will be on a wooden floor sitting on wooden joists, sitting on a huge steel beam. It feels slightly scary but I had an engineer spec the construction - so I guess it will be ok. Hope that helps

Thanks! It’s a 3/4 size.. that’s not it’s final location in the barns, it will end up in a slightly smaller spot, plus I wanted to be able to play pool on it..
