awesome video! yeah I never use my Kirby G5 or ultimate G on small rugs, ever. they just have too much airflow for that, I use my oreck or bissell powerforece for those but we dont have very many rugs in our house, we have 90% wall to wall carpet and about 10% vinyl linoleum flooring and just 2 entry mats. these Kirbys are beasts im telling you 😯
Yes you're so right! The Kirby cleans very well but the rugs are a bear with the newer Kirby. It's just too powerful and awkward... Hard backed/large rugs are a lot easier if a person owns a G- series! But I'm like you, if I own a house someday I will have less rugs. Lol
I agree to some extent when using our Avalir 2. The fix for us is to use a restored Diamond edition Kirby. It has a two speed motor and a berber soft bristle brush installed. Perfect for area rugs and Berber carpeting.
Kirby changed the emptor, either during the Sentria or the Sentria2 run, I don't recall. That one looks like the older style which, apparently, loses about 10cfm over the current unit.

Pretty good amount of dirt! That was quite a workout on those rugs, lol. Might try a Diamond Edition on them at some point 😉
Yea I agree! The Sentria was too awkward to vacuum the soft back rugs. I would take your 519 over any of them... lol
