Enough is enough when they don’t sell I guess? The bracing does not really make sense to me .Why not simply reduce the mass . It almost seems like it was an exercise of practice with a laser cutter.
Ok Martin., build the best Maple bodied guitar with a spruce top that has NO electronics., has regular X bracing, (scalloped or non scalloped) and is non cutaway. The guitar should be amazing in its acoustic version.
...just wow ...Martin's prices are sky rocketing! That SC18 is closing in on $3900.00 with tax and the SC28 is closing in on $4400.00 with tax. When is enough enough?
In 1971, my parents had a 4 bedroom, 2 story, 1,800 sq. ft. house built near Truckee, Ca. In 1972, my Mom bought a brand new Ford Mustang Grande, with a 351ci V8, and every available option, for $4,200. A month later, a good friend bought a non-custom Gibson Hummingbird for $500. Are guitars REALLY skyrocketing?
Environmental laws, scarce materials, and luckily for the workers , expensive working conditions, and wages. In 25 years a rosewood back and sides guitar will be rare and double in price. Other then that, jed1166 has a reaction that says it all. It is only us that got used to cheap china made garbage (ok Eastman or Epiphone produce good quality...but it is all in what you choose you want to spend money on)
Really nice guitars. 👍👍
Thanks for the vid!

I agree. I have a DX1RAE, and it works for me.
When the company wants to sell more guitars at that price than people are interested in buying.

I had to turn it off before this dude gave the price for that maple walnut guitar. I'm afraid I might throw my phone if that guitar is like 3k+
@tclaffey yeah, it's $4000 USD...insane money.
@@stevebernard221 I honestly couldn't see myself having 4k to spend on a guitar and not getting something custom built
