@@cooksoni.a I have mixed feelings about it. It's really nice that you can have chords going while only using up a single track, or even have multiple chord tracks each playing different chords. So I appreciate that it lets you get a lot more polyphony out than you could otherwise. But writing chord progressions on it, especially if you like interesting inversions and extensions like I do, is really unintuitive. It can be nice for stumbling onto unusual chords, but it's otherwise a pain. But it's definitely better than the Digitakt's monophonic tracks.
Hey there, just found your channel, randomly looking for some non hard techno Syntakt content and after a couple of your videos I'm finally sold! That's some really cool sounding stuff your pulling out of it, and what a great videography attached to all that! Instant sub, and you really deserve much more views. Keep posting! Ciao! Andrea
Enjoyed this, thanks for the jam. Just purchased the Syntakt and cant get enough. Cheers. I also know the pain of letting a track be done. If only we all had the time to have endless hours on finesse. I feel you did a fantastic track. Beauty.
Going to be listening to this one over and over ... I love when the images match what I already had in my head. Great track and thank you for sharing it!
I like the saw lead sound. I love it when a simple idea like that saw riff comes a long and can inspire a whole track. The organs are nice. Is this all on the syntakt? If it is then grooveboxes have come a long way since the korg emx-1.
This is really dope. I've been meaning to get something like the Syntakt or the polyend tracker so that I can get more in touch with my fully electronic EDM side. Just want to sit with a single piece of gear or two and some headphones and vibe for a few hours. Lately the pressure of being "good enough" at guitar and keyboard have been getting to me.
I think you may have just sold me on this machine. I’m in the market for a new drum machine or sampler. I’m fed up of working and constructing grooves in a DAW. So I’m looking for new equipment to build on my collection with my Analog 4mk2 and Hydrasynth Deluxe. I’m assuming all sounds were direct from the Syntakt? Great vibe btw. 👌 Edit: I saw another comment confirming that all sounds came from the Syntakt. Awesome.
@@tinywires absolutely this. The tiresome act of searching for drum samples and loading them/prepping them on a software sampler/DAW is such an inspiration killer for me these days. I need something I can just switch on, tweak and get going with. Gonna get one ordered later I think.
This one is all happening on the Syntakt. I recorded the stereo mix out directly into Ableton Live. I applied a tiny amount of EQ and compression in Live, but that's it.
@@tinywires Super impressed really. I kept hearing people complain about the sound and maybe they were looking for more traditional drums but it's the sound of this track that convinced me 100% that it was for me. Everything else I've heard kinda left me flat.
@@Iofflight78 Yeah, if the sound in your head is analog drums or a classic drum machine like a 909, then the Syntakt might be frustrating. But if you accept it as its own thing, I think it can make really beautiful sounds. I *love* the noise oscillator and the kinds of shakers and hi hats it can do. The clap is also really solid sounding to me.
Halllllllleeeeeluuuuuujaaaaa! The first syntakt video that sounds pro to my ears. Really good job Tiny Wires! Thank you for this!
nice. the syntakt seems like a powerhouse for deep house and dub techno
It's fantastic for it. I wish it had a slightly better way of doing chords, but aside from that it works really really well.
@@tinywires do you not like the chord engine? i've heard mixed reviews about it

Thank you! I hope you have tons of fun with your Syntakt.
This sounds really good! ☺️
Perfectionism is something you have to give in to sometimes.
Really fresh 🎶✅
Sounds nice. Well done 👍

This is sooo smooth I love it!
Lovely work on this T W !

Yup, 100% Syntakt. :)

It's so good for just sitting on the couch with a pair of headphones and losing yourself.
BUETIFUL
Fantastic !!
Really nice.
Nice I need some sound design tips from you, all my syntakt patches are very techno-y
sooooo good!
Wicked 👌
So good!!
I like that your Syntakt doesn't sound like Syntakt...

Yes, 100% straight Syntakt. It is so good for escaping the tiring experience of scrolling through endless drum samples.

Beautiful 👏What is the kick you used for this perf ?
If I remember right, the kick is one I put together myself using the analog bass drum machine.
Nice one! Do you have a full mix going on in the DAW, or is everything happening inside the Syntakt?
This one is all happening on the Syntakt. I recorded the stereo mix out directly into Ableton Live. I applied a tiny amount of EQ and compression in Live, but that's it.

100% Syntakt! :D
