Travetta Andrews could be proper gearing and no boost lag due to direct drive on blower (he did say the turbo was too big and tune may be off because of it) could be driver mod as well. could be a lot of different things

Viny F.A a Top Fuel dragster is not a good example for high power at 'cheap' cost.... Hemi's are more expensive than LS motors for anything sub 2k hp on average. Hemispherical heads are generally the highest flowing heads I will concede, but they (Dodge Hemi's) are not cheap to build, head work and motor work for them is expensive.

What I want to assert is that I understand that LS are a great option to be fast because they generate a lot of power and are cheap, but if you really step up and have financial conditions for it, not because it does not fit to be Drag car with a hemi because it is a level above any conventional street engine.
I love any model of 2dr domestic v8. Might as well put a Chevy LS motor in it . Best engines there is. I have a 1990 Mustang notch back and it did have a v6 when i bought it 15 years ago. I first put in a Camaro LT1 for about 5 years. Then an LS3 for a few years. This year i saved my pennies and rebuilt the whole Mustang and the chassis and just bought a LSX 376 with a P1 Procharger and a Monster tranny.

Some like to believe running at these levels of horsepower engines can still be bullet proof but that just is not the case. Engines like in this car do not last long, it is what it is, so running a modest tune to prolong the engines life to make it through the whole week is smart. The vast majority of competitors will have to rebuild their engines after this event.

because a 106mm turbo on a mopar engine would have cost 3 times the cost of a ls turbo motor.
Only thing it proves that the LS needed a turbo to move that massive thing.
Because it was a v6, the car was stolen, recovered and needed a new motor. Chevy motors are cheap and abundant. There are a lot of parts for them.

Wrong, box stock hemis were getting outrun by 440s and other brands also.
Right and wrong the 440 was easy to tune the hemi needed constant skilled tuner ,not any real modifications just a good tuner. Like today with a lsx .
