Yo I have the same digger and I also run a tractor with a post thumper. I purchased a rock breaker to drive in posts with the digger but I’m very unimpressed with how it performed. This set up looks brilliant. I’m in NZ and I was wondering if I could some how get some construction details off you so I can construct my own one. Cheers
No its double acting, the size of the cylinder in important to get the speed required. Generally the cylinder has to be just big enough in cross sectional area to be able to lift the weight via the mechanical multiplier ie the ram moves approx 250 mm for the weight to lift 2 m. Then when the ram closes the weight can fail at the speed of gravity to get the maximum impact.
Nice Job! I like it! Looks like it makes fencing easy!

Cool 👍😊
Great job Brian. What does the yellow spring at the top of the mast do? Thanks
How much are these
Did you use a single acting hydraulic cylinder?

Thank you Brian
