This will be an interesting series because you focus on shopping for YOUR OWN body. Some of us forget that just because it’s fashion doesn’t mean it will fit you or work for your body type or look good on you.
Thanks for some great shopping tips. I need to focus on your comment “ just because I think something is cute doesn’t mean I need it” You hit the nail on the head. I will put that on repeat when shopping. I would enjoy seeing more videos like this. Continued blessings to you.
@@shaylow8938 Years ago a GF said, “You don’t have to buy every pretty thing in the store!” I replay that comment often when I’m shopping…and buy the things anyway! LOL! If you see my closet videos, you will I understand the significance of that comment!🛍️🛍️🛍️
I really like these types of shopping videos! I constantly need to remind myself of, “cause I think it’s cute, doesn’t mean I need it!” Thanks for the tips Jenee!❤
You definitely exude class. Everything you wear looks expensive and very feminine without looking over exposed. You are very beautiful, classy, confident, and very polished. You are a world changer. You influence many women in a great way. There is hope! ❤❤❤❤
This was fun! 😊 I like that you stated several times size up with some items. It really makes a difference on how clothes fall on your body and change the outfit! Please do more of these shopping trips! 😊❤
Jenee, I think one of the things I like most about this video, is your price consciousness. I know that you have worn some of the most expensive pieces of clothing, but you are still checking prices on items that you could easily afford. Its a good lesson for all of us. Spend the money on quality
What's super impressive is that you know your personal style very well. That's what I need to work on--identifying what is "me" and what is just a "pretty item." Definitely continue this series.
Love this! I think it could make a good series especially season by season. Also, would love to see a video of how you setup your new closet once you get your clothes. 💞
“JUST BECAUSE I THINK SOMETHING IS CUTE DOESN’T MEAN I NEED IT…” louder for the people in the back please!!! (I am standing in the back). Loved this content. There is a London personality by the name of Trinny that does this as well and it is SO helpful when thinking of intentional shopping and outfit ideas. Please consider making this a regular segment!
I rra😢en😊this video because our thought process is what needs to happen when we shop. The days of blind shopping are gone, or just because it’s cute shopping. The points brought out in this video should transform the way we look at shopping. The information is cost saving as well as intentional. Shop with a purpose!!! Thanks Jenee and Mya
I’m trying to reduce my consumerism so this video helps! Thank you! I tend to get caught up in colors and boldness and that’s not my life… I’m gonna watch this twice
This is an excellent video. I think people really need to be taught/coached into shopping like this. We need to know our bodies, the colors that work, the cuts the fit our silhouette…This was a breath of fresh air. This video was such a departure from the buy everything attitude of most influencers. My take away buy what you love ❤️
One of my favorite content videos to date. You remind me of myself when I shop. You made some points on when you should pass on an item just because it’s cute , but not practical for your lifestyle and you know what looks and colors work for you . We have the same skin tone and I agree the soft pinks are flattering. I used to hate anything pink until the last few months if in the right hue. This video was inspirational and educational. Thanks!❤
You have definitely cracked the code! It’s not about how much money you spend on things. It’s understanding your body silhouette, wearing colors that flatter your color undertones and the overall fit. Spend the money on Alterations!!!! I would like to hear more about the Alterations aspect of your style
I love this kind of video! I like seeing the thought process of how you shop. It is very helpful to understand that, just because you think something is cute doesn’t mean that you should buy it and it doesn’t mean that it’s going to be flattering on. I love how you emphasize that understanding ones personal aesthetic, silhouette, color schemes and fabric preference is paramount. The feel, details, and weight of the fabrics is the key. I predominantly wear flats but from watching this video I will now pay closer attention to the straps and the support I used to think that flats automatically translated into comfort, but I have learned the hard way that it doesn’t.
More of these kinds of videos! I’m a known “occasion” shopper and I also fall for the the trap of buying things that I find cute without considering if it works for my body type. Need to dress for the body I have vs the body I want! This really challenged me to shop differently and consider how every piece fits and learning what works. Going to try this out the next time I shop! Tashira has me checking fabrics and now I’ll be mindful of fit and colors 🤗 Also s/o to Maya for this idea!
I’m glad to hear you don’t purchase things just because they’re cute. I do that all of the time! When I get back home, I’m upset because I didn’t get anything I was looking for and I end up with a lot of hodgepodge clothing I don’t need. If you can refrain from compulsive shopping, surely I can. Continue to glow up!!💃🏽🧘🏽♀️
I like that how you shop is reflected in how you shop. You know your style. You style items at least three times before you purchase. You know your no buy because you've got enough or you never wear it. Thank you for pointing out how to identify quality.
Love this turn of vid because I’m not a “shopper”, I don’t really know my style- I like a lot of different things. This helps me really think about how to put pieces together 😊
I like this concept! Shopping in store has started to feel a bit overwhelming, so I really like your approach. I’d love to see a shoe dedicated video in the series. I always buy shoes I love while in store and never end up wearing lol.
She understands fabrics, structure, her body shape and size. It was great to hear her think aloud. Loved how everything she picked up was long term.. 3 ways to wear and where she would wear it to. She should design more clothes as she understands scale and womens body. I opened up my closet and thought... no thought at all 😂
I LOVE this idea and yes please do more of these!! The tips you gave on clothes - cost per wear, material, what you like and looks cute vs what you like and is practical is valuable information that I will be utilizing on my next shopping trip. This helped me put a lot of thoughts into words!! Awesome video thank you!!
Great video, I think the lesson is everyone needs to know what looks good on their body type, what flatters and what just is a trend that may not be for you. Example, most people look better in v neck T shirts. Loved it!!
Absolutely loved this type of video. You making decisions in real time with explanation was like when my mother would take me to the mall and tell me why or why not to buy things! ❤
I really enjoyed this video! I’ve been in a style rut but this video gave me great ideas and insight into how I should be thinking about what I buy. My biggest takeaways were knowing what silhouette looks good on you and not buying something just because it’s cute.
Super enjoyed shopping process video - so helpful, this is the kind of foundational learning I need. If you could do the same format for shoes, go back to Steve Madden or Nordstrom or something and give the same Zara treatment, I would click so fast! Please make more of these!
More videos like this please. I need to go back to shopping in store and actually trying things on. I’m really getting into “just because I like it doesn’t mean it’s my style” but I also need to add “doesn’t mean I need it” lol
This video was very informative for me. I’m trying to shop more intentionally and this video helped me to try categorize my choices. Yes, please make this a yearly maybe quarterly series. Thanks ❤️❤️🔥
I love this format. Not only because you have helpful informative tips, but because I'm at a point in my wardrobe journey where I don't really need to buy a lot of stuff. So I get to live vicariously through someone else's shopping without going to the store myself and buying a bunch of stuff I don't need.
I liked this style video. It is helpful to know your thought process when deciding what you will buy. For me I got that purple button down because it is one of my favorite colors. I love neutrals, greens, blues, and purple.
Thank you Jenee, this was a useful & fun video. I added a few items to my cart. Many good tips that I will implement. I love this serie I love how gentle you are with yourself ❤
Great! Shopping series. Cost per wear and knowing what works for your body a definite needed to be reminded. Looking forward to the next shopping trip 🥂💕
The crème dress w/the shoulder bows looks absolutely amazing on you…the pink top in my opinion does compliment your complexion…… those white wide leg pant…was looking for a pair just Wednesday so comfy…love the fact on how you shop so wisely…thanks for sharing…!¡!
Yup, feel better already bout buying 2 leopard dresses at Zara today; it’s been my thing for many years and now that I have access due to the trend, time to stock up-5 leopard pieces in a month, I’m prolly good now
This was very cute Jenee. I wish I had seen what the navy dress looked like. Those steve shoes looked great on you. Im def getting that bow dress. Maybe Banana Republic next time?
Just found your page &really enjoyed this video. I’m trying to narrow my focus during shopping so I enjoyed the concept of enjoying how things look but not buying them. Outfits were all cute!
This was a great video. How many times have I bought something because it's cute , but it's not your style, and you never wear it. I need to shop with more purpose. Yesssssssssssss more videos like this!!❤
I love this video and want to see more like it. Love the fitting room try on haul + sharing your takes on why a piece was or wasn't working for you. If you continue this style of video would love to have some stabilizing in the video itself, like a gimbal to help stabilize the video as you two are walking and recording.
I loved this style of video it was very informative and helpful. I like how you have a process when you shop in Zara by going around the perimeter and then in the middle. Great video!
Good morning, Jenee! I am trying to shop like a pro on a shoestring budget. ❤❤❤ U! From Chicago, IL USA 🇺🇸 O'kay ! Everything is extremely expensive in 2024 and I enjoy Thrift shops/ consignments stores . However, you must be careful inspecting the items or purchases and sometimes I don't have the patience.
This is a great idea for several reasons. One intentional shopping is important for the wallett and planet. Keep the series going please. Perhaps take someone with a different size or body frame with you
Very vlog I like the way you spoke through each item to make sure that you would get your cost per wear. I too plan and envision pieces in my head before purchasing them. I would definitely like to see future vlogs of this type. ❤
I just purchased a gang of clothes from H&M, and after watching this video, I need to rethink each piece. Since I've gained weight, I am trying to redefine my wardrobe, and I keep reaching for pieces that no longer work for my body, and I need to stop. I also need to stop forcing myself into certain colors just because I feel like my closet needs more color. If it's not my style, it just isn't my style. I need to stick to pieces that compliment me, pieces that I feel confident in, and think about cost per wear. And just because it's cute doesn't mean I have to buy it. Jenee, that was an entire speech, lol! You've given me a lot to think about that will contribute to a better shopping experience. I appreciate this video and would like to see more.
Thanks J...Love this video on pieces that I can actually afford. I can relate to all your style tips and I hope and look forward to more videos like this. Thank you 💛 P.S. I love the red balloon dress on you and bought it. I didn't love it so much on the model - IDKW.
Love what you said about t- shirts. I love them and agree that they aren’t the most flattering me on my. But buy them since I have a large chest and broad shoulders and it’s always hard to find cute tops that also offer good coverage. Let me rethink that part of my wardrobe now…
Excellent video! I learned so much! I feel like I finally am equipped with what I need to know so I don’t keep buying this I don’t wear. This was the perfect How to Shop Smart - Fashion 101 Course
This was super helpful and interesting to watch you shopping. I especially liked how you explained your thought process as you shop. You know what you like and what flatters your body. The lesson learned is just because it’s cute doesn’t mean you need to buy it. Again, very helpful. I would definitely enjoy watching more videos like this.

“Just because I think something is cute doesn’t mean I need it”… Let me process that for a minute. Nope! That does not compute!
Thanks for some great shopping tips. I need to focus on your comment “ just because I think something is cute doesn’t mean I need it” You hit the nail on the head. I will put that on repeat when shopping. I would enjoy seeing more videos like this. Continued blessings to you.

Right!!! 😅
I have to get better at this!
I really like these types of shopping videos! I constantly need to remind myself of, “cause I think it’s cute, doesn’t mean I need it!” Thanks for the tips Jenee!❤
SAME 😊
AMEN! And it is a tough pill to swallow!😢
You definitely exude class. Everything you wear looks expensive and very feminine without looking over exposed. You are very beautiful, classy, confident, and very polished. You are a world changer. You influence many women in a great way. There is hope! ❤❤❤❤
Please do more. It’s the explanation of cuts of material and what one love but on other women.
Loveee this format Jenee, please make more of this🤍
When my mom said what did u learn today...👆
This was fun! 😊 I like that you stated several times size up with some items. It really makes a difference on how clothes fall on your body and change the outfit! Please do more of these shopping trips! 😊❤
Agreed. I think we can get too focused on a size or number instead of which features on our body type could benefit from a size up or down.
I think until now I struggled with sizing up overall. It is my clear takeaway!
Some great points were made shopping. 1. Cost to wear value 2. Know your body & what looks good on you. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Jenee, I think one of the things I like most about this video, is your price consciousness. I know that you have worn some of the most expensive pieces of clothing, but you are still checking prices on items that you could easily afford. Its a good lesson for all of us. Spend the money on quality

Would love this as a series with different stores.❤❤❤
I love love love this type of video. it’s so helpful especially since I don’t have a Zara in my area. It was the perfect virtual in store experience.
That navy dress "yes"! This shopping format is great

Great video! Love how you know how to appreciate but not buy. Thinking long term is so smart.
I’m love the think of 3 ways to wear something when you are buying it. I’m still working on just because it looks cute doesn’t mean I need it.
OMG love love love this! Please do more; changed my whole shopping game. It feels so intentional and organic. Thank you ❤

I would really love if you did more content of this video it would help me a lot. Thank you so much for your help
This was very cute Jenee. I wish I had seen what the navy dress looked like. Those steve shoes looked great on you. Im def getting that bow dress. Maybe Banana Republic next time?
I can't tell you how many things I've donated having worn once bcz I didn't shop for my own body.
I loved this Jenee, so helpful ❤
Yay, I’m so glad! More to come
Just found your page &really enjoyed this video. I’m trying to narrow my focus during shopping so I enjoyed the concept of enjoying how things look but not buying them. Outfits were all cute!

I like this style of video with you. It’s a bit more personal and great tips. Also I feel like I’m holding the camera. 😆 Keep em coming
Proud of you love. You actually made me finally use my YT Page again to post content. Thank you 😍 🙌🏾
Loved hearing why you picked certain items.
Seeing as though this is only the 2nd TH-cam video I’ve ever watched of yours, I vote for more videos like this. 😂
Sounds good😂😂😂
Great video with lots of smart shopping tips. Please keep it coming
Let me rethink that part of my wardrobe now…
I love this style of video. Definitely keep doing these videos.

love this style of video
We don’t have Target in Canada anymore 😢
