I looked at them when Supergirl was just getting going (hadn't seen her in anything else at that point), and now that I've become a fan of hers, I feel like a complete piece of shit for contributing to the invasion of her privacy. Not that me being a fan determines her right to privacy, but it does make it worse, at least on my end. The internet makes it too easy to dehumanize people and see them as little more than their physical characteristics, but as I became a fan of Melissa, watched interviews, and learned more about her, I realized I couldn't have wronged a nicer person. If I realized then what I realize now, I never would have done it - I think there's a lesson to be taken from that.

Rather than blame the individual(s) who invaded her privacy and stole her property, they engage in victim-blaming bullshit.
