    Very cool. .223 is going to be one of the Calibers that I start with when I start to reload

    This is basically my setup from trimming creedmoor cases. Much easier and faster to work with than using the Dillon xl750 for it (that one, I use for actual reloading later on).

    Just started reloading 223. Before only pistol and semi straight wall cases. So after trimming you do not need uniform length? Using this trimmer and some cases shorter than others. How short is too short?

      There is a min and max in the reload manual. I have reloaded .223 Remington/ 5.56x45mm NATO shorter than the minimum and never had any issues in an AR-15. I haven't done that with any other firearm or caliber. I am not going to recommend it 1.750" is the trim-to length.
      If you have time check out: Caliber Corner #132 Reloading rifle ammunition (emphasis on 5.56) tonite at 7 P.M. Eastern on the travisp11 channel or later on replay.

      Some cases after trimming come in at 1.745-7, from what I have heard too long won’t chamber, but shorter cases are not a problem. Will be using in in Ar and Ruger mini 14

      @@Desperado3248 in my experience with AR's shorter will still chamber.

    What's the consistency in Cut length from cartridge to cartridge that you're coming up with squib load?

    • @Squib1911
      @Squib1911  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't know. It's on the a reload notes that I put in the case with the reloads. I could control the variation some by using the adjustment in the cutter, but it isn't an issue for me reloading this caliber.

    Lee case length guage put it in drill exact spec every time no setup, 5 dollars....screw all that. Even better I now have graduated too cost a little but the fastest most consistently best trimmer is by little crow gunwerks "world's finest case trimmer" and the name is absolutely appropriate
