Palace win this game if not for the huge momentum shift after that disallowed goal. However, Edouard NEEDS to hold his run there. Still a good performance and I'm confident Palace will bounce back against West Ham.

Wharton and Hughes have similar styles but I think Wharton needs a player like Lerma next to him not someone like him . A more physical presence that has the pace to pick up on guy on a break . Palace were robbed! The momentum of the game completely shifted after the disallowed Eze goal and Brentford proved it by scoring a minute later. Still though, Edouard has got to hold his run for the offside goal! A small mistake like that completely took Palace out of winning the game. I feel Edouard should have started because of preseason form and Mateta should have been the super sub at half. All in all, it was still a good start to the season and Palace actually showed quality. I love this formation but if Eze/Kamada don't come in to cover the middle, teams will always be able to counter attack. Mitchell and Munoz were both absolute class. Another signing before the window ends for squad depth would be great as well.

The coach should surround him with hard workers who are ready to pursue the ball and recover it quickly cos Eze is not really good at that as he will literally let players stroll past him with the ball. If the coach can work on this he may be compelled to keep Wharton on the bench cos he is lazy as well and replace him with Lamar and Hughes and kamada and compel them to mark the ball viscously and recover he ball as quickly as possible whether Eze marks or not and then let Eze do the killing with the balls. This is the only way they can reach that level they are looking for. Tireless ball marking keeps the momentum in your favor..

I can already name 5 game changing blunders by the refs and VAR and theres only been 9 games.... horrible start to the season imo atrocious disgusting and not good enough from the FA. they just pick and choose when to follow random ass laws to the letter and when not to and its genuinely disgraceful

At least you could get your money back for apparently contrived or wrongly judged officials decisions. Maybe through crowd funding, I will not have a problem donating if QC’s have to be used to show a jury what was perpetrated during any game! Hopefully, it would stop the cheating and acting that fans hate but cannot do anything about.

It was a direct kick by Eze and the keeper was free to dive but the decision was bad. There was no one near the ball to stop the goal.
That freekick goal should have stood. That was pure daylight robbery on Eze and Crystal Palace.
