The part about living with anxiety was really spot on. And when you are in any kind of relationship dealing with it, either personal or professional it amps it up even more. I can't even imagine how difficult it would be to navigate it when you are in the public eye. Sometimes relationships work out and sometimes they don't. I wish both Chad and Courtney all the best going forward. Before I went off Instagram I followed them on their pages. They seemed like lovely, sensitive people. Great interview. 💌💌💌💌💌

I never knew that Mr CHAD DEULL had ANXIETY about his new job at GH. I APPLAUD 👏 him 👏 🙌 😍 for sticking with the job!! GOD BLESS CHAD for COPING under DIFFICULT TIMES knowing that another young man was fired 😳 so CHAD could take over the role of MICHAEL CORINTHOS. I LOVED the other actor ❤, but I KNOW that CHAD has made the character of MICHAEL his 👋 own. I LOVE HIM WITH ALL OF THE ACTORS/ACTRESSES who play his family and friends ❤!!!As usual another ❤ GREAT STATE OF 💙 MIND show with the EQUALLY GREAT Mr MAURICE BENARD. I LOVE ❤ YOU BOTH AND GOD BLESS YOU 2 GENTLEMEN & YOUR FAMILIES. I also think that whatever happened with CHAD & his wife COURTNEY IS NOBODIES BUSINESS BUT THEIR OWN!!!! I WISH 🤞 THEM BOTH WELL IN THEIR FUTURES!!!!

Another episode that is genuine and honest . The respect you both have for each other is very apparent, as is the fact that this was a truthful conversation ,no acting .Chad was very open which in turn will help people. Maurice you are helping so many and I have no doubt even saving lives .State of Mind has raised and continues to raise significant awareness and the importance of Mental illness and Mental health .It shows your character Maurice.
Your love ,empathy, commitment and compassion for your fellow humans. You don't charge a dime for your help, and your not hesitant to tell it like it is . You openly admit your faults and your quick to say you were wrong about things. Highest respect and admiration to you and your wife .No I'm not blowing smoke . I really believe that you are doing a great work .I know it to be so.Thank you and GOD Bless.

I have these same panic attacks and severe anxiety that Chad is speaking of almost every time I go in public or if I’m doing any activities in which people are watching me. I am 46 yrs old, and I’ve had this anxiety most of my life. I had to quit playing basketball in high school bc I would literally vomit before every game. I avoid crowded places like Walmart bc the anxiety is so severe, by the time I get out, I’m sweating, nausea/vomiting, busting headache, dizziness, panic attacks, etc. It’s truly crippling and so difficult to treat bc everyone is so different. Stay strong Chad, and thank you for talking about it! Sending love and positivity to you! ❤️❤️❤️

Omgoodness this was SOO good. My daughter has anxiety and she’s been performing with a band for a couple years. The school she’s in has her perform in front of an audience and she does amazing up until it’s time to get on stage, then 5 minutes before she falls apart, then she’s up there and I can see her wide eyed and sick. I feel like saving her. Like throwing her under my jacket and pointing to everyone and saying, “stop staring!” 😂 but I know I can’t. Because she never gets to the point where she wants to quit AND every time she performs she gets better and better!! It’s so necessary for her to grow!! I love the way Chad pointed this out!!!

Finally got to see this live. Thank you Maurice and Chad. I'll have to go back and relisten more closely to what Chad was saying about facing your anxiety but respect to him and you for being so open. I needed this this week. Been feeling some mania, racing thoughts, these lows. For me it's sometimes SM and not feeling comfortable with voicing my own thoughts and silencing myself to avoid conflict. 💯❤

I love the honesty in your conversation and how even after many years, there is still something to be learned about each other. I really appreciated how Chad was open about his anxiety about the new job and also how other cast members stepped up and really smoothed out this transition. As a viewer of the show, it just seemed so seamless but the reality was so different. What you do as actors is so mind-boggling to me. Thank you for doing this episode.

I love the ease/ comfort between you two. It warms my heart to see how much you care for one another.
The Sonny/ Michael relationshiip on GH is one of my absolute favorites. (Although having Michael take Sonny's side during familial conflicts once in awhile would be cool LOL)
I have read and loved your book several times this past year and must thank you for your honesty and humility....and for making me laugh as well.
You are an inspiration and wonderful example of the power of love that helps lift people to heights they never could have imagined reaching.
Your lessons on strength and perseverance are amazing.
Keep up the wonderful work you do to help others.
And for letting us GH fans get to know your friends/coworkers in ways we never would. They amaze me with their candor.

I absolutely loved this sunday's show. Chad it looks like you get heartburn from coffee as well as myself nothing a little baking soda in water won't help or some ginger. I have watched general hospital since it was in black and white I liked the other Michael as a child but I couldn't see him growing into an adult Michael I've loved you from the beginning. Your performance this week has been very moving and intense. Years ago Sally Field played the bipolar mother of Abby Lochart on ER. I found myself wondering if you ever saw those? It was such a performance, especially for someonewho ISNT bipolar. My own mother was bipolar, and those story arcs were difficult (but mesmerizing) to watch because they were so spot on. Maybe hard for you to watch too I guess. Im so glad you have stayed on your medications once you understood what the problem was. So many people stop taking their medicine over & over, dragging their family through hell each time. Heck, I really want to take my antidepressants, but between the drs office, pharmacy, insurance, and my own issues, i can have long delays where I dont have what I need sometimes. Its a constant battle of endless phone calls all the time trying to figure out why the perscriptions arent filled this time, while everybody points their fingers at each other. Its utterly maddening. I hope you dont have as much trouble as I do with that bs. They arent the ones going through withdrawls! I wish it was just over the counter.

Yes, what Chad just said about the more you go thru it (anxiety/panic attacks ) & experience it the better able you are to handle it & the less it immobilizes you is so true. I started having Panic Attacks when my son was about a year old cause I was so stressed out as a young Mother (22), I was also an only child so no younger siblings so I was very Anxious, & had occasional full blown panic attacks but was afraid to go to a Dr. finally found articles in magazines that described what I was going thru which helped. I learned on my own to talk myself thru them by telling myself: you are OK, it’s just a panic attack, take a deep breath & slowly blow it out your mouth, think Calm, repeat 10 times. Then later on as they got less intense I would count to 4 repeatedly while listening to Music searching for a Song i knew all the words to cause if I sang along That calmed Me so lastly I just listen to Music ( usually oldies from my youth ) when I am stressed & I also Pray cause Jesus has also brought Me thru A lot the last few years without Anxiety/Panic Attacks. We started going to Church & My Faith in The Lord has brought Me thru Physical Pain, the Loss Of my Parents ( especially My Mom who was my Best Friend ), My Husband’s Best Friend, My Husbands health issues ( he had to leave his job because he became disabled ) so came a significant drop in income. So I’m managing to hold it all together with Jesus’s help. Now my Husband has Anxiety attacks so I try to help him. Sorry this is so long guess I just needed someone to talk to that would understand it. Love you Guys so much & I look forward to my General Hospital hour everyday, y’all don’t know Me but to Me y’all are like Family. Love your TH-cam Channel Maurice, I am Subscribed! 👏🏼👏🏼👍🏻😊

Also anxiety can blindside you when things are good. At least for me I find. Great segment Maurice and Chad. My favorite father and son duo.❤

Wow! Thank you, both! Those of us who struggle with self-doubt, anxiety, the "inner voice that says you aren't cutting it," need to hear how others cope or struggle to be "normal" or fit in. It makes us realize we aren't alone - we aren't the odd-ball - we are human! Love you both and General Hospital ! Please keep doing State of Mind! Awesome doesn't do it justice - it's spectacular and thought-provoking! Thank you so much. Blessings to you and yours!

I suffer from anxiety ever since covid hit. I never suffered from anxiety or depression. I get overwhelming sadness at times. Great show as usual. Thank you Maurice and Chad.

Great episode..... I loved the whole thing..... ♥️ These two make a great team..... 😊 I love you, Chad..... 😍😘
I'm so happy to learn more about Chad, and his family..... I think it's so amazing that he wanted to get to know his sister after she was adopted..... Also, I commend him on being able to get through his GH character role, in the beginning..... I'm so thankful that Chad has been able to continue being on GH for such a long time..... I love watching every scene he's in..... 😊♥️👏🏽💯 I really hope I get the chance to meet him, and the whole GH cast, one day.....
    🙏🏽♥️

This gets better each week. This was such an honest and wonderful conversation. Chad's very funny, but it was nice seeing this side of him. He's so insightful and kind. You do such a great job, Maurice. I hope we see Part 2 and the two of you switch places. Lol.
