Can I just say, as a musician, it was very sweet when he started harmonizing with her? It made sure that he stayed in her range, and it highlighted her voice over his. And he left as she was finishing, so it was more about how she inspired him, and less about his fans swarming the stage. That whole performance was very classy.

It happens all the time, but some people, like Ed Sheeran, manage to stay grounded. At least publicly, I’ve no idea how the dude is when the world isn’t watching. Rich or poor, a lot of musicians are united by the music and are very supportive of each other. One of my favorite things is when our (struggling) band has a guest performer come up, it's like adding someone to your family. Unless they are really bad, in which case it's more like the alcoholic uncle who shows up at the family reunion. But still, it's family so you grin and bear it anyway.

So unless they are already closing corporate gigs that make it worth it financially, it's important that it be a good feel all around.

For example when he is signing autographs and taking pictures and his manager is trying to push him along he tells him no and continues making everyone happy. He’s just a super super guy. I’ve been following rock and roll whether it is pop rock or hard rock since the 60s. This dude is just very, very special and I would like to meet him one day and there aren’t many people I can say that about.

Ed Sheeran is one of the nicest celebrities since the word celebrity was created. For example when he is signing autographs and taking pictures and his manager is trying to push him along he tells him no and continues making everyone happy. He’s just a super super guy. I’ve been following rock and roll whether it is pop rock or hard rock since the 60s. This dude is just very, very special and I would like to meet him one day and there aren’t many people I can say that about.
