I am fortunate to have friends that collect (hoard 😄) gear and testing electrical things is what I did for a living, plus I like audio so it is working out well in my retirement. I do test some new things as well on occasion, but my focus is on the older stuff.
Check out Episode #97 which describes the analyzer i use. I would not want to work on that 1570b, but it could be fun if you are into tube gear. I am working on another video using the audio analyzer- best investment you can make if you are serious about the hobby.

Just stumbled across your channel as I'm thinking about restoring a pair of 1570B amps. Which analyzer are you using? Excellent stuff.
