The summer bbq's in Pasadena were spread from the ocean to Riverside........most of the kids were fortunate to play instruments, and were in bands, and had parents with bbq's in the back yard, and liked the big cement barbecue pits at the surfing beaches. Everyone just shared them.........it was a time I wish kids would get again...it was a perfect childhood and teen time. That to me was the Van Halen best part, they made the whole world share those summertime bbq parties.........made us ALL neighbors.
