I love, love lapbooks for my struggling learner in 10th grade. We just started in November with them because nothing was clicking for him. He finished one after reading Tom Sawyer and another one on Ancient Egypt. He is currently going to start another literature book next week and he completes a section for his lapbook after each chapter. He is also doing one on Astronomy and Ancient China. This has been a huge blessing!!! I also make a pocket in back of the lapbook for loose pages (i.e. book report, maps, etc.) I also use colored folders because my kids get bored and helps them stay engaged.
