WagakkiBand (和楽器バンド wagakkibando) is a musical group from Japan. The shigin lead singer Yuko Suzuhana (elected Miss Nico Nama ニコ生 in 2011) and seven musicians fuse Vocaloid songs with wagakki (traditional Japanese musical instruments) and Western rock. Their music video Tengaku (天樂) was seen more than 200 000 times in four days. Moreover, the music video of the song Senbonzakura (千本桜) has received more than 40 million views on TH-cam. In 2014, WagakkiBand was invited by Japan Expo 2014 in France and their first oversea independent concert was held at Taipei in 2015. On July 4, 2015, WagakkiBand headlined a sold-out concert at Club Nokia in Los Angeles as a main event at Anime Expo. The Vocaloid IA was the opening act, also in her first North American live show.

“Hanafugetsu,” recruiting the talents of shakuhachi player Daisuke Kaminaga, and the koto of Kiyoshi Ibukuro. Along with Yuko’s distinctive and wide-ranging vocal ability, the light yet dramatic strings of Kiyoshi’s koto, plus the beautiful and emotive flute sounds of Daisuke’s shakuhachi combine to create a captivating traditional sound. The group also provide something beyond that sound by including Yuko’s piano playing in many of their songs.
To date, the group has released four albums, including a triple CD release in June 2017. Their songs come in a variety of forms, comprising vocal tracks, instrumentals, original compositions, and cover versions of beautiful songs such as “Hanamizuki (ハナミズキ)” and “Yuki no Hana (雪の華).”

Playing the piano and singer Yuko Suzuka, Shakuhachi Daisuke Kaminaga,
Koto Kiyoshi Ibukuro ,Playing the Japanese-style acoustic music composed of three people, Hanafugetsu.
They made a major debut in 2014 and are members of the band “WagakkiBand” which fused together the rock and harmony which is now a topic all over the world.
Their original songs interweave a unique worldview with songs and instruments.
Members are full of strength.
Vocal Suzuka is a teacher of Japanese-style poetry (Shigin) and has the best ability in the whole country. She also graduated from the piano department of Tokyo College of Music.
Kaminaga of Shakuhachi is a teacher of “Tozanryu” Shakuhachi school and has overseas performance experience in over ten countries so far.
Ibukuro of Koto plays a 13-string koto, and a rare 25-string koto with few players.
While attending high school he joined overseas performances in eight countries through dispatch at the Agency for Cultural Affairs.
