You're so wrong bro.... This speaker is amazing, I love it and everyone that has heard it at my house went crazy, they couldn't believe the bass and quality of the sound. I guess it's just your opinion like you said.
Thank you so much for that. I have a new microphone that was sent to me as a review that will hopefully capture the sound much better for the comparisons. I will be reviewing it for my mid week drop if it arrives on time. Thanks for watching.
If someone wants to buy this speaker for Karaoke, keep in mind you can only use one mic wirelessly. If you want to use 2 mics at the same time, one has to be plugged in.
@Carl-q9o The speaker is not battery powered if that's what you mean. You have to keep it plugged in. But it does have Bluetooth to connect wireless to devices.
@user-fv5sd8ih5e Nothing to do with that. Partybox Ultimate is just simply a much better speaker so that's why it's being recommended. It has much fuller and richer bass and crisp treble. Along with much better low frequency extension. Sony arguably only has slightly better mids.
Huge disappointment from Sony. It's like they aren't even trying anymore. They just make cheap, plastic speakers with poor quality these days. Cheap molded plastic exterior, cheap drivers, cheap touch controls, cheap wheels, unbranded generic rgb lights and so on.... This speaker is worth $600-800 tops, definitely not 1200.
@@Indian_Speaker_Guy Exactly my thought too. They could have easily fit 2 subs infront if they moved the bass port to the back, just like JBL does it. And the bass port in the back would also help with additional bass when put up against a wall. Just perplexing mess of a design. I don't know what Sony was thinking.
@@LukeR1Mthe overall volume of the subwoofer will barely be that of the Partybox 310, as you can see the sub is around 3-4 inch down from the grill. There's no depth at all in the box which is way smaller for a 12 inch sub. And Sony doesn't give importance on the port tuning which i think play a very important role on any speaker, especially for subwoofers.. Even LG was doing the same before until thier new model XL9T which clearly try to replicate the 710. It is their only speaker with deep bass after copying JBL design..
So true... even the rgb lights have low density and aren't diffused properly (you can see individual LEDs) which looks cheap. I know it's not the most important thing on a speaker but cmon, this is supposed to be Sonys ''Premium'' tier and there is nothing premium about it really... except price.
It is never much of a problem doing the things you enjoy. I really like checking out these cool speakers. I need to find a new one to check out now. IASCA Bass competition next month near me, so I will most likely be bringing that to you guys next. I can't wait.
@@Real_Reviews I bought mhc v02 party box and after the warranty period 3 months beyond warranty period it was out of order. I approached customer care executive and followed by service centre, the mother board was changed and charged 8000 Rs. After 15 days it became out of order again and again approached the service centre then after frequently 4 times they changed many parts within 4 months but of no use, after 4 months they said the mother board should be changed again and charging 8000 again, since last 11months I have been mailing frequently to Sony but of no use, earlier I have bought 3 more sony products but all were problematic, so please make distance from Sony products. Go through other premium brands comparatively cheaper. Sony is costing much but not consumers friendly
Bigger woofers always have an advantage in providing deeper bass so it's even more baffling that Sony cannot reach those lower frequencies. 9 Inch subs on the Ultimate (and 8 inch woofers on the 710) are way smaller and still hitting way lower. Just goes to show how far ahead JBL is when it comes to speakers. Also fun fact: Sony was the first company that started using square woofers back in the 80s and they are still doing it to this day, despite them being pretty awful. They are just way too stiff and have barely any movement. I don't know why Sony keeps using them.
I think the problem with the Sony is just a cheap enclosure maybe made out of low desity thin wood. A well built cabinet is a must for good base response. I honestly prefer sealed to ported for true bass, but it means a larger enclosure.
I really appreciate the honest reviews here. I'm not too big on deep bass, so to me this speaker sounds great, especially on the 1st tune. I wouldn't be spending that much on it though!
the sub is most likely a pro audio sub, which isn’t meant for super deep bass. and this thing is like 1000 dollars cheaper than the jbl ultimate party box in canada.
@@rushgush I saw another video that showed the Sony sounding better so I wanted to see for myself. I actually had high expectations considering it had a 12" sub. But we all know had that went.

Actually with this Sony speaker the Ult-2 is going to be the more louder and bass mode in which the speaker puts out most of it's power as other reviewer has stated!! ..
Believe me, I tried both. At 1st, I thought the same thing, so I compared it again with ULT 2 to the Ultimate, and it was just no comparison. You can try it for yourself if you like or wait until next Saturday, the 29th, when the ULT vs. Ultimate comparison drops.
@@Real_Reviews Yes, it doesn't compete with the Ultimate, even i would say the 710 also has aton of bass and deep bass than this speaker. But I'm trying to say is the Ult-2 mode is the mode with more power than the Ult-1 and off mode.. I never trust Sony when it comes to bass, before even listening i knew it when i first saw the design i was confirm it maybe loud but wouldn't have that deep and powerful bass

JBL Ultimate. It's much more refined with better design and higher quality.

Sony use Horn midrange here for loudness, but it gives bad sound quality
Yes is seems to scream. I am not a fan of horn tweeters.
It really does. Heavy distortion at higher volume levels. And makes it sound unbalanced.
Bass is almost half as loud as the rest of the frequencies.
