Being a Honda CB650R owner and giving the Ducati Scrambler a good look before hand, its just my opinion, but the Honda is the more complete all-rounder usable bike. The Ducati is a great weekend bike, the Honda is the bike you would happily use everyday.
Thanks for this comparison. This is exactly the video I was after. I own the Honda CB650r but I have always had a thing for the Scrambler and I am considering getting that next. The Honda is definitely tameable on low revs but I also think depending on how you are sat on the bike it can make a big difference to throttle control. I am 5’11” and sitting on the Ducati made me feel a lot more comfortable. Going to test ride it later so will find out exactly how it is. The Honda is the first bike I bought after passing my full A license in UK.
Did you change to the ducati? I’m actually thinking of trading the other way, from the ducati to the Honda. The ducati engine gets really hot. I’m in a tropical climate, so that’s a big negative. What I’m wondering is if the Honda is better at lane splitting and squeezing between cars that are somewhat close together.
Really good video, I Own a 2020 Ducati scrambler Dark, easy to ride not intimidating for a new rider, lots of fun, I have the Termignoni pipe and lower handle bars and up rated Ktech suspension which transforms the ride quality.
Thanks for the comparo, these are exactly the two bikes I'm mulling over, looking to purchase in a few months. While quality and technology is on the side of the Honda, I just can't get over the look of the Duc, I just love it.
Thank you for the great video comparison. I'm looking for a new beginner bike and you comparison is just what i was looking for. As a beginner I find gear indicator being extremely useful. Honda has it but Ducati does not.
I saw the EnglishBikerDan review of the CB650R 2021 model and the model before. He said his pre-2021 model had an uncomfortable seat. the new model was slightly better. ... Yet every other review of the CB650R said it was a comfortable bike.
I am fascinated with the ducati scrambler and watched almost all reviews on youtube. Planning to buy one here in the philippines. Tbh i like your review. Cheers!
There is no such a thing as beginners bike. You can kill yourself even on a scooter if you don't know how to ride and there isn't a thing between the ears. So yes, I recommend this bike up to 200+ bhp bikes to beginners.
bagyooo I’d go with the Honda on longer rides without a windshield. If you’re going to tour on the Ducati it will need a windshield, otherwise you’ll be like a parachute in the wind at high speeds.
@@JC-vz5bz Just rode my Ducati thru the mountains in New Mexico. The windshield makes the difference. Also if your gonna do distance on the Ducati it can use a bit wider seat and I geared mine up with a smaller rear sprocket and that helps on the hiway.
I owned cb1000r and now scrambler 1100 and 800.Ducati has more character over japanese bikes. They are much more fun,light,nimble...etc Honda arr so so smooth ____>>>> bit boring

Very nice comparison. Thanks! I'd like the Honda and a fun of It. Really excited to have one soon!

Wei Sami Zhuang Thanks! Feel free to check out my individual videos on both bikes for more details.

My 2020 icon dark has a gear indicator built in
@@UnwiredRA They started to include it from 2019 model. Model reviewed in the video doesn't have it.

How about the vibration on the foot pegs of the ducati icon? Is it that much annoying or something?
Didn’t notice much vibes on these. There’s a bit there but that’s all motorcycles. Check out the individual review videos on these on my channel.

With honda you get nasty vibration at certain rpms.
Added the multi strata rubber pegs to my icon.works awesome with very little vibration.
I do not recommend either of these two bikes as beginner bikes... beginner being your first bike. Especially not one with 94hp, jeez
Below 4000 rpm that bike is a breeze. It doesn’t get going until the upper revs.

How much will windshield eliminate wind on the chest?

Which bike is hotter? I mean in the legs
Rhyme Malanum i think the ducati scrambler has hotter on legs considering it is air cooled. Im no expert just my opinion.
Definitely the Ducati. It roasts your right thigh pretty good.
Thanks. But which one is more fun to ride?
@@rhymemalanum2554 Scrambler, sir.
The steel chassis is prone to corrosion just like Honda's corrosion king CB1100.
Most stupid without any personal experience comment,
Honda doesn't ride on dirt. Two different bikes. Please.
I hear lots of Québécois
Where you livin buddy?

Give me low rev torque, any day of the week.
Great
Which is more FUN tho?
Honestly, the Scrambler is more fun because of the leakier engine. Comes on like gangbusters from low revs.
Could not agree more, my friend.
I’m pro honda! 🤟🏼
I love Honda as well.I own the 2019 Ducati Scrambler and it’s an absolute blast to ride. Both incredible bikes.
