I can name several white ones (both male and female) who have been accused alongside those who have been found guilty. • @aspiknf
      @aspiknf ปีที่แล้ว

      No, the insulin injection could have ONLY come from an external source...somebody definitely did inject insulin into the baby and that was Lucy Letby. The doctor saw that she purposely did not give treatment to a baby...but when Lucy noticed that the doctor was looking at her, she panicked and quickly gave the life saving apparatus back into the baby. There are so many pieces of evidence that show that Lucy Letby was the killer. Not only that...the police are saying that she killed in previous hospitals she worked in. Your 17 upvoters are losers. After she was fired from hospital, the death rate of babies dramatically dropped...since she was the serial baby murderer. It is 100 percent a fact that Lucy Letby murdered those babies.

    • @ellea2541
      @ellea2541 ปีที่แล้ว

      Right?! It would have been very convincing if the defense could have produced a chart to say "Between X date and X date, there were 17 deaths in total. Of these, X deaths were expected and explainable whilst Y deaths were not. Of the Y deaths that were not, Lucy waa not present for Z of them and not just come off a shift. Even with the babies who survived, Lucy wasn't there when Children deteriorated. She was on night shift later AFTER it happened or on annual leave etc so there is a total lack of correlation." Something as basic as this could have stopped her going to prison for LIFE... You don't think the defence or even family and friends would have had this idea and used it if there was evidence in her favour that they could have provided?

The prosecution have ordered a retrial for one of the cases which could not be proved beyond a reasonable doubt at the time. It is for the benefit of the grieving parents who want to see justice done in relation to the death of their baby. Lucy will stay in prison for the rest of her life anyway. I think the programme was arguing that maybe because of all the media coverage of the original trial it will be hard to find jury members who have not read or heard about the case, and so the outcome of this retrial regarding the one baby which did not get proved beyond reasonable doubt will already be decided in their own minds.

      @@danharte6645 It is obvious that more people would have found it more easily digestible to think that Lucy Letby was the murderer if she was black compared to if Lucy Letby was white, blonde and had rich parents. A similar thing happened with a black (I think she was a recent immigrant to the UK) Paediatrician called Bawa Garba (sorry her full name is not coming to my mind, the case was a while ago)...she was a Paediatrician that tried her best and the Consultants were hardly anywhere to be seen and the machines were a mess and the hospital lighting was a mess and she had to do the impossible job of looking after a lot of patients (that weren't hers) and she hardly had any help when the Consultants should have helped out at that time...therefore there were patients that died. The justice system was wanting to give a harsh judgement on her...even though she did nothing wrong and even though she was a good doctor. It was only after some doctors and medical professionals protested in favour of her that the judgment went to Bawa Garba's favour. I think that if Bawa Garba was a white British non-immigrant citizen of the UK...she would have been treated more fairly. I do not agree with what the black lady in the video says all the time...and sometimes she is hung up too much on skin colour and race/ethnicity...but it is a fact that sometimes there are places like the Police Force and the justice system where non-whites are treated more unfairly than white people.

    An appeal at some point will be successful because the conviction was unsound. The evidence was either flawed or imaginary. It won’t be a technicality that gets her off. It will be the realisation that there were no murders but an increase in deaths due to natural causes, probably the recent admission to the unit of far more, and more serious, cases. The deaths increased (but hardly beyond the national average) after the neonatal unit was upgraded to Level 2 which meant it started dealing with more seriously ill and premature babies. That increase wasn’t expected, people panicked and Lucy Letby was unlucky to be on the wrong shifts at the wrong time. Ill-founded rumours hardened into equally ill-founded convictions and everything since then has just been a projection of people’s assumptions or beliefs on to the situation - a meme on steroids - not helped by an incompetent defence. You couldn’t convict someone of shoplifting on the sort of evidence that was presented against her in court. And the ‘expert’ witness admitted himself that he wasn’t an expert. They need special investigators to work on this sort of case, people with a background in stats and probability theory and an understanding of how medical tests work. A huge amount of resources have basically gone into wrecking an innocent person’s reputation, career and life.

      Well and sensibly put. This report was an all round mess and did not even report on the basic fact that this is not a retrial of the whole case; it is to give closure to the parents of one baby whose murder by Lucy Letby was unable to be proved beyond a reasonable doubt in the original trial. The prosecution clearly feel confident that they can get a conviction second time around.

      @@shweefranglais7900 This sham retrial will be railroaded by a proper retrial of all charges from her appeal.

    What the heck has this to do with race?

    The only prejudice was that she was a nurse! We are taught from a very young age these are people to turn to for help and to be trusted. Assuming a black person would have been caught sooner is just speculation from a race baiter! Ridiculous, irrelevant comments 🙄

    That Imarn is a nut job. It would NOT matter if the nurse was a male, female, trans, black, white or green!!!!!!
