I agree with you about the maturation in their sound. I would really recommend checking out Scott’s first single he put out a month ago, Mars. It’s his first solo song and he has certainly leveled up. The production in the video is unbelievable.
PTX performed this live with a group of cellos, but the studio version has a string section of violins, violas, cellos and bass. They will often bring in an orchestra or choir on some songs on their Christmas albums to get a bigger sound.
Legendary pop singer / songwriter Diane Warren wrote this in 2017 for Cher to perform for a documentary about the Syrian civil war. You'll find Cher's studio version on TH-cam, but she evidently wasn't happy with it and never released it. So Warren worked with PTX to do a new version for them (she had worked with PTX and Jon Baptiste to release a single of her song "Sweet" earlier this year).
How interesting! Back in 2016 Superfruit co-wrote "Sweet Life" (no connection to Warren). I rather liked it but apparently Scott and Mitch weren't as pleased as I was. It was one of the earliest SuperFruit songs they published. th-cam.com/video/ha6Km8OzJ9Q/w-d-xo.html
Not only is this musically outstanding…the message could not be more timely…especially love the part where Matt says he’s gonna “take a chance”! One of the many MANY reasons that I love PTX is that they not only sing about the problem…they sing about the solution as well.
Dianne Warren wrote this many years ago for Cher to sing in a documentary, it was never recorded. Dianne & Pentatonix, tweaked it some for this version.
Maybe Anchor, or Never Gonna Cry Again, that would be really great. Invincible features an Indian singer, and it is gorgeous ) Thank you for the reaction.
Finally got a chance to watch and you did not disappoint. I would say you should check out "Joyful, Joyful" live from the evergreen christmas tour last year. Btw the last high note you hear is Matt.
You're close with the trash bags ... it's huge sheets of plastic, and Mitch and Kirstin kept getting overwhelmed with it, because they're the smallest. There's a BTS (Behind the Scenes) for this one that shows it.
Thought you gave up on PTX. You missed "Mars" Scott's first ever single, in September. And PTX's tour /album announcement. This is from PTX's 2022 Christmas album, "Holidays Around the World" which features collaborations with singers from Africa, Lebanon, the Philippines (Lea Salonga !), Japan and elsewhere.
Always like pentatonix reaction from you. I've got some new band to introduce you. Pls react to One ok rock "renegades" live piano version. The singer of the band-Taka is a crazy talented singer !!

Indeed, Scott its using more his raspy voice! (i don't know if it is the correct word to describe😅, please forgive me)
I absolutely agree. They've all upped their game in the last few months, but Scott especially has really levelled up. I've been so impressed with him.
It was written by Diane Warren. I hope you check out more off of their Christmas around the World album.
She is an incredible writer!!
oh you'll definitely want to hear 'lost on you' by scott [the tall blond guy] and mario jose. i mean, what a performance, just wow.

There are strings in the background in this, yes. It's such a powerful anthem for today.

You are so right about the maturity of their voices especially Kirstie! They are amazing. Shame this album is not getting the coverage it deserves
This was originally released by Cher years ago
Recommend their cover of I Just Called To Say I Love You.
They did this song,Invincible, with a bunch of Indian singers and musicians. I think that it inspired Mitch.
What did you mean by you think invincible inspired Mitch?
Fantastic new song and reaction. I hope everyone enjoys it and please SMASH that like.
I love Scott’s rasp in this, it reminds me of Adam Pascal ❤
Scott released a solo single, Mars. It’s crazy good.
Beautiful song with a Amazing message. We have to change so we can make a change.
Great reaction. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I haven't seen a PTX song in quite a while. They all look so good-- very healthy and happy.
This is brilliant. One of their very best. Thank you for your usual thoughtful reaction.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Been waiting for this. Have to wait a bit longer bc this will get me hyper. I have trouble sleeping so since I'm sleepy, I'll watch it in the morning.

Glad this got unblocked. It has such an incredible message. And great vocals.

They have visualizers for the tracks on their new album "Holidays around the World". I hope you can react to them.

I’m shocked you haven’t reacted to Dimash’s new composition and mini Movie …The Story of One Sky yet.
My guess it’s parachutes in the background
You can listen to the live version of this, of course it won't have the cleanest sound. No orchestra.
