Shoes gather dirt while walking so please make sure to wipe them before storing and sprinkle inner with baking soda to kill bad smell. You don't want to have #smelly feet because of fungus growth inside.your shoe/ storage.
My wife wants me to add a couple floating shelves in her kitchen. So, as most diyers might do, I went straight to TH-cam and lo and behold I found your video. Research complete. I will be using your simple and clearly explained process to gain some brownie points this weekend. Thanks. 4:32
Most Luv the Bungee Cord idea + the OH-SO-SIMPLE but equally hard to obtain Cardboard Box ideas + the Towel Rack idea, and the Closet Rod/Tension Pole idea with the Curled Wire Hangers or Clips. MERELY LUV ANY IDEA that excludes...BUYING FURNITURE for what is a temporary domain right now! The old Stackable Shoebox idea is for the birds! Too hard or heavy to peek inside and/or lift lid to view under cloudy/barely-see-thru plastic material and colored lids. (Only good for permanent shoe storage IF shoebox punctured with breathing holes and shoes or boots cleaned & wrapped to prevent mildewing during the season.) The much newer SIDE-END OPENING SEE-THRU, CLEAR VIEW SHOEBOX design is wholeheartedly BY FAR AN EXTREMELY BETTER IDEA THAN PAST SHOEBOXES! Even a 3-to-5 shelf BOOKCASE works when you ADD/ATTACH either 1- extra shelf inside existing shelves (flat shoes) - or - add 2 - extra shelves inside for (higher sole step-in shoes). Then leave bottom shelf for boots. (Requires measuring & hardware.) Back-of-the-Door Hanging Pockets are... well.....every room doesn't come with lots of doors. So obtain an old door from HABITAT RESTORE or Salvage Yard or Thrift Decor (IF YOU CAN MANAGE TO TRANSPORT THE DOOR(s), that is). Also, OBTAIN or BUY either Angle-Brackets or Hinges or Cut Wood Pieces to construct a flat-based support that will hold the door straight up. Then paint the door and simply hang the shoe units on each side of the door. Doors can also serve as either room section dividers or grouped as room dividers for teens also.
My mom is a hoarder she only wears 10 different pairs of shoes. My dad my sister and I only have about 5-10 pairs each yet we have 4 large shoe storage things, 6 small shoe storage stuff and with all of these filled. We still have about 20 pairs of shoes scattered on the floor totaling well over 100. She only wears about 10 pairs of shoes. She needs to see this to help her decide It’s so hard to get her to get rid of shoes without putting up a fight and throwing away one of our stuff which is stuff we actually use. And because we can’t get rid of these shoes, our only option to making our house decent, is getting like 3 10 feet tall shoe storage. That way we can have something that can match and get rid of these unmatching shoe storage in our house
Shoes get dirty so the ottoman will contain the filth and smell-shoes need to be aired out and cleaned. I clean the shoe and boot soles inside and out and shine them before putting them away for the season. I use boot trays in the winter, and store work boots, hiking shoes in the basement on shoe racks. I slide winter or summer shoes I am not using for the season, in shoe bags so they dont get dusty after cleaning them and store them in shoe racks in my hall closet. I have used over the door shoe pockets and it works well but it may ruin your door frame or door upon closing so test it out first. The best ideas are the built in wooden shoe shelves, but they are expensive to install. I never keep street shoes in my bedroom, they are downstairs and shoes come off in the house and we wear slippers and socks around the house. Keep a mirror in the hall to check your shoes/boots with your outfit before you leave.
I don't have sooo many shoe. Only 4 pairs. 1 daily use, 1 high heels for casual and formal function, 1 grand design for weddings and receptions and 1 sport shoe. Need to buy a pair of slippers to wear to market, beach and dirty places.
There you are! Just wanted to say the bench storage is perfect. I need a bench at the foot of my bed and I'm past blessed with upholstery. I used to keep partial cans of paint on my basement steps. No mice in the paint cans
I went to dollar tree and bought those collapsible bins to store my flip flops. They have many colors and styles . I own over 50 pairs of dressy flip flops and in sure it will be way better than storing in the big bag I have then in. I hate for the dirt from my shoes to rub on other shoes. I cant see me putting dirty shoes on walls
Hello😊 I often go to Dollar Tree and I'm trying to think of which collapsible bins you're talking about, but I can't recall seeing anything like that, do u mind giving little more detail of what they look like please??
The shoe tray idea is interesting for me. I'd rather have something I slide under the bed. I could see the cardboard box if I lay them down. Maybe the sho bags or baskets could be an option
I didnt like keeping my shoes under the bed, they collected wayy too much dust and it was a pain taking them all out everytime i had to sweep or mop. I really liked those benches with also space for boots!!!
"Is your house overflowing with shoes?" No, it's not overflowing, but I do have a problem with trying to figure out what to do with them sometimes. I like the ottoman shoe storage in the video but it's so enclosed and does't give them a chance to air out. Wow, this video has storage space ideas for shoes in every nook and cranny in every room. 😲
I have an issue with letting the dirty soles sit on top of the tops of other shoes and that one using stairs? we don't even walk in the house with our outside shoes 🙃
These ideas are obviously for people who rock sneakers, runners ,converse and flip flops. I don’t think any of these can be used when you have Dr. Martens, loads of hard toe boots, demonia boots, shoes with spikes or expensive ones like timberlands and Jordans. Ain’t no way...
what about men's work boots and ladies tall boots, or boots in general, we're not keeping those kinds of boots outside, most of these ideas aren't practical for a small space
We keep our work boots on wire shoe racks in the basement and garage. We use rubber boot trays in the winter for boots to contain the muck/salt and it works well-it does take up space but you can slide the tray under a hall bench.
Due to the fact that paint must be disposed of properly (in Canada), you can first inquire at your waste management facility or go to your local recycling facility and ask them for empty paint cans.
The problem with most of these ideas is that it leaves your shoes exposed to a lot of dust which is not what I'm looking for. Also shoes look ugly when you've been wearing them and when they're dirty you don't want to hang them all over the place and it looks nasty.
Omy gosh there are some good ideas but the narrators voice is so annoying that I couldn’t see the video until the end. I agree with comment that we are not 4 years old.
Putting them in boxes makes them smell worse because the sweat doesn't dry out. They need to be where there's air circulation. Odor comes from sweat and skin sloughing off inside the shoe. Taking care of your feet and getting pedicures can eleminate this as well.

I did this after viewing this video. It's wonderful and holds dozens of pairs. Thanks for the tip.
Did u do the paint tins and if so how did u get all the paint out.

Oohhh...shoe storage ottoman! I love it!
As long as you worry constantly about them falling on to your head ... 🤭🤭🤭that is sooooooo funny

I usually don’t find any good ideas in these videos, however, I did find several ideas in this one that will work for me, thanks 😊

It's nice to live in a warm place. Here in Russia where temperature normally ranges from -30℃ to +30℃ we need to have several pairs for each season

Ok. #8 was the best
Great ideas, thankyou

Very smart ideas ill have to try a few thanks for sharing.
No. 34. Donate shoes that you don't wear to charity.
Some of these are pretty wacky but I did buy a shoe ottoman after watching this video. Did not know such things existed.
The shoe tray idea is interesting for me. I'd rather have something I slide under the bed. I could see the cardboard box if I lay them down. Maybe the sho bags or baskets could be an option

I bought a big wicker basket at the thrift store to store all my summer shoes such as flip flops sandals....
Great Idea
Thank you! Cheers!

i dislike the pallet idea... it is huge and it squashes the shoes and it looks bad

You can also stuff your flip flops inside of boots.
Gorgeous idea

Where are the directions to make the stand-up shoe rack?
Flat shoes are the easiest to store.

I used a skirt hanger for my boots. I only have 4 pairs
AWESOME IDEA! Tried that with plastic retail version ....no good! Best with wood & metal version with TIGHT GRIP!
2 minutes in and done. I will not be shoving shoes into pallets or any cramped ottoman.
Something else pleaseeeeee!!
Super 🇸🇳🇸🇳
That bag at 14:58 is too cute 😍
How high is your ceiling? 5:41
Some good ideas, but don't need the yak.! 😀

I was cringing when i saw shoes put into pallets and stuffed together! I have mine on racks and my best ones displayed
Number 18 from 4:19 onwards: What a load of BS!!! That’s IKEAs shoe rack and not some recycled garden tool holder.
Wowwwww

2:26 What are those?!?!
Cardboard boxes? Really? Also can you get a person that can read the text more naturally? It's awful.
A lot of these suggestions are so tacky

to much shoes to have
If you have more than 8 pairs of shoes you need to see a shrink!
How did you determine this are you seeing one?
Shoes has a bad smell and dirty
Please put it in the box.
Putting them in boxes makes them smell worse because the sweat doesn't dry out. They need to be where there's air circulation. Odor comes from sweat and skin sloughing off inside the shoe. Taking care of your feet and getting pedicures can eleminate this as well.

Thank you so much

Shoes gather dirt while walking so please make sure to wipe thrm before storing and sprinkle inner with baking soda to kill bad smell. You don't want to have #smelly feet because of fungus growth inside.your shoe storage.
Use thin old mismatched socks or stockings and put baking soda and essential oils in it, tie it and put them in your shoes.

Nada funciona para mi 😭 I think I’m the problem

I like these videos less and less. Too much narration. Blah blah BLAH
It's disgusting to store shoes in your bedrooms, get them out in the hallway near the front door or under stair cupboards.
Omg so boring all these tips picked up from Ikea or trailer park !!!! What a load of rubish
Good ideas but too much unnecessary chat, we are not 5 yrs old! Shut-uuuupppppp!
