I was out upland hunting last week and this video catches the essence of the what hunting should be. The beautiful outdoors of Oregon shared with friends and a companion. Going home without a bird for your efforts detracts little from the overall experience.
NE Oregon where the Columbia turns West is a wonderful place to hunt all kinds of game birds and waterfowl as well as a lot of other game. The gorge in general is an amazing place full of so many beautiful microbiomes.
Wow that looks like hard hunting, glad to see that there are public lands in Oregon to hunt! Have you ever come across any rattlesnake? I don't like snakes!

Well said.
YOOOO I went out deep in the gorge for a recent shoot while a buddy was hunting... and now I get it. It's about enjoying the space.
I love this. Hunting is a very positive activity and the funds used for hunting licenses provide a great source of revenue for wildlife conservation.
Very important point. I wish more people would realize the importance of the Pittman-Robertson Act and conservation organizations founded by hunters.
What an amazing landscape. What an incredible process. Thanks for sharing.
There are so many great places to get out here. Have you done any hunting around?
That does look like some tough hunting. Seems like it would take some time to develop those skills. Thanks!
Just a few days out and you'll get it.
Good to see happy working dogs.
fun!
This was cool to watch

I was recently blown away by the gorge hunting upland birds. But had driven through so many times and never thought anything about it in my past.
Excellent video. Thanks

so much public land. Yeah in central Oregon you can find em.
Great story the bird hunting in Oregon is superb there are few parts of the state ware you can’t hunt birds
So freaking true. My elk spot puts us in birds all the time. Gonna keep an arrow for em in the quiver this year.
My dad used to like chukar hunting. Pretty much impossible without a dog. My dad hunted with this same kind of dogs.
Ive wondered though if you could get lucky without dogs though.
That’s so sad it’s such a beautiful bird 🥺😭
Taste like chicken, but not the kind you buy at the store full of chemicals and steroids, living in the dirt. So yea, shoot your own organic food.
It is, but it's also an invasive species. So is the Eurasian Collared dove.
She just excited
Betcha there aren't many overweight SERIOUS chuker hunters in the Northwest.
you might start that way but won't end that way.
You ever hit the devils in Oregon. Same stuff, devil birds
Im gonna have to look into that.
I want to go chucker hunting now! we didnt go this year
Well you can still do some private land hunting through march.
