    I have one and really love it. It is a cannon when you really strum it. It sounds like a Hummingbird should. As for the weight, I do not notice any difference between Martins my family have and I play.

  • @JohnnyRebKy
    @JohnnyRebKy ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Sounds louder than any Hummingbird I ever played. I’ve tried a Gibson Hbird a few times and they always had a sweet tone but not much volume and power. I always went home with a Martin instead. But yours sounds pretty lively!

    Sounds great. You probably couldn’t tell the difference hearing a rhythm track recorded with a Gibson HB or an Epiphone HB.

      I originally made the mistake of getting the pro version years ago. Lack of knowledge at the time. I hated the sound ,feel , everything about it. Then I found the inspired by. Total opposites. Sounds so much like the real hummingbird it's crazy.

    I really want to give one of those a try. Just need to find one. As the light reflects off the headstock when the guitar is swung around you can see indentations where all six tuner nuts were cranked too tight during assembly.

    Just got mine today. I have the J160E and the Hummingbird is way, way better. I mean, this is truly inspired by Gibson, and sounds close to Keith 's Beggars Banquet era tone. The J160E just looks like a Gibson.

  • @AcousticWarrior

    I had one and it weighed a tonne heavier than the real Hummingbird and it just wasn’t resonant at all it sounded dead prehaps different strings would have helped but also the top is so thick I just think they are overly built I so old mine as the weight was too much My cheap Ibanez beat it hands down and it’s light as a feather fit very resonant

    • @jakes5530

      Ive not played this new one, but the Epiphone Masterbilt series guitars were genuinely some of the best sounding guitars Ive ever tried (irrespective of price). Almost bought one back in the day but I wasn’t playing much acoustic back then. Regretting that now, considering a new “Inspired by” Hummingbird in this color way.

    I wonder why they didn’t put the battery in the bottom with the output jack like Martin’s so it was easier to get to?
    It’s inside Velcro’ed to the neck block…not easy or convenient. How much more would that of cost?🤷‍♂️
    And it’s a really nice guitar, I have one… but it’s not as nice as the Gibson to be totally honest.
