The song was never an attention grabber to begin with, and La Zarra, who can be such a strong presence when the circumstances are right, actually seemed insecure. There have been several reports that she wasn't happy with her delegation, after all. You need a clear presence at Eurovision in order for people to vote for you.

This was a performance where staging really let the song and the singer down. Poor La Zarra was tied to that weird tower so that she couldn't even move.

I like when France sends frenchy entries. It makes it feel like it's showing what Classic french music is instead of trying to send something hip and cool. I also liked last year with the traditional music. Basically France doesn't always win but they always send good certified French songs. Also La Zarra was in my top 3 favorites how did she end up 16th. Unfair man.

Okay, but I'll be real now. France's result don't matter all to much to me anymore. I'm just happy that Eurovision helped me discover a new comfort artist in La Zarra and I wish her all the best after her Eurovision journey! She's such an astonishing performer with a wonderful personality and her songs always feel so ethereal! Such a gem of a woman!

Just what I heard from a friend who is French. Apparently France wants bad reviews in esc? So her middle finger was directed at TV executives not the audience. I'm going to need a lot of help regaining my faith in humanity after seeing to complete and utter disrespect the juries and public had for this song. I'm absolutely shocked (given what some other songs were awarded) at the result and have been put off the whole Eurovision thing a bit because of it.

Les classements français à l eurovision sont pratiquement désespérants depuis 25 ans (seules quelques exceptions en 2001, 2002, 2016 et 2021 ) et je suis triste pour nos représentants qui mettent tant d engagement... ce concours n est pas pour la France... qui n est là que pour faire son chèque de grand contributeur !

The song was never an attention grabber to begin with, and La Zarra, who can be such a strong presence when the circumstances are right, actually seemed insecure. There have been several reports that she wasn't happy with her delegation, after all. You need a clear presence at Eurovision in order for people to vote for you.
I'm honestly BAFFLED how this song finished in 16th, I absolutely adored this performance, 12 points from Austria!!!

Just what I heard from a friend who is French. Apparently France wants bad reviews in esc? So her middle finger was directed at TV executives not the audience. I'm going to need a lot of help regaining my faith in humanity after seeing to complete and utter disrespect the juries and public had for this song. I'm absolutely shocked (given what some other songs were awarded) at the result and have been put off the whole Eurovision thing a bit because of it.

The song of France is a real refined art. Classy and elegant are the last words i would use to describe France, thats just how they want to look like, but they aren't. I lived there for 6 years and im not returning EVER

Les classements français à l eurovision sont pratiquement désespérants depuis 25 ans (seules quelques exceptions en 2001, 2002, 2016 et 2021 ) et je suis triste pour nos représentants qui mettent tant d engagement... ce concours n est pas pour la France... qui n est là que pour faire son chèque de grand contributeur !
frankly I was scared after seeing the first presentation in the semi-final where the singing was totally wrong...I understand that she kept her voice for tonight and she shone!
